I'm playing in a Pathfinder 1e campaign in Faerun (specifically Tethyr). We're 15th level and dealing with an Ancient Red from Klauth's neighborhood (Spine of the World). This Ancient Red is named Kaledon of the Mist, and it was manipulated by Drow to attack the main castle in our county in Tethyr. We got lucky, beat Kaledon back, then hunted it down and almost defeated it... but triggered a Contigency spell which teleported Kaledon to its lair in the Spine of the World. With scrying, Loremaster abilities and an 8th level spell Discern Location, we knew which mountain to teleport to, and are about to enter the lair. From what I know of Kaledon (and my bard knows alot; knowledge check 36), we were underestimated and not taken seriously. If an ancient red took us seriously, we're dead dead dead. The magic that an ancient red has access to is terrifying, ten-fold terrifying when wielded by a beast of such power. If Kaledon went all-out, we would be dead twice over. For example, just casting an Antimagic Field on itself would ruin us, robbing us of so many bonuses we'd never hit it. It could grapple us and we can't even use Dimension Door, or Freedom of Movement, or any supernatural ability to escape. It would be raw stats vs. raw stats and we would lose 100% guaranteed. We *need* to kill Kaledon. If we don't, the dragon's wounded pride means we'll be hunted down later, and anyone who witness Kaledon's humiliation would be obliterated to preserve its pride and satisfy its vengeance. Many lives are at stake, and so is our future. But we can't do it ourselves, because now Kaledon knows what we're capable of, and won't take us lightly anymore. Entering the lair is suicide. So... I'm thinking of doing a different approach. What if we sent a message to Klauth, mentioning how hurt and humiliated Kaledon is, and the location of the lair? You think Klauth would verify the truth of the info and then take care of Kaledon for us (kill the wounded dragon, take the treasure for himself)? Sure we won't get the treasure hoard, but at least we don't need to keep looking over our shoulder. Or would this just lead to more trouble?

Why did you use area instead of simply matching up the map scales? When I did this for Waterdeep and Constantinople, there is no way ten Waterdeeps fit inside Constantinople, they appear roughly the same size if not Waterdeep being larger!

In your option, what would be a sarcastic pet name for Graz'zt's to call Iggwiiv? I have Grazt'zt gating into the end of a temple where the party has found a special dagger of Thraxxia (graz'zt's daughter) he then smells one of the nine that reminds him of Iggwiv. Any suggestions?

I've been looking into Karsus after reading the Nethril trophy and this is the only video that talks about him being actually mad. 😂 They are all like "wow🤩 he was so powerful and cool that he almost became a god" it's like the Nethrese live on. They weren't concerned about the death count either 😂

Greetings Kate, its been 6 months since last post, you ok?

In my Witchlight, our paladin is aligned to zyblna. I reskinned the "moving inn" to be baba yaga's hut. The group will be setting out to rescue zyblna from the carnival of fear, where she is being imprisoned by Isolde. Baba Yaga will give them insight into her past, conflicting thier cause, and hopefully they side with Isolde and let her have her vengeance. Or they could still try to set Zyblna free and have to fight Isolde and the Carnival of Fear.

5 stars on the opening.

Iggwilv is one of my favourite NPC's in a upcoming campaign my character is the son of Iggwilv but he does not know this because he was abandoned when he was a baby Iggwilv has been known to do this sort of thing over the years on different planets it's only her son Iuz and her daughter Drelzna that she raised and considering how they turned out I can see why she abandons her children

I would add that Shyressa is killable in Baldur's Gate 2 but she's not listed as dead and if you kill her she just turns into a vampiric fog and flees. In Baldur's Gate 2 most named vampires only die when you stake them. So canonically she might not be dead.
