And here is the lore on The Pereghost! The current public leader of Zhentarim. I don't know if he can be considered 100% death knight. An artificial one I guess. But he is still an uber killing machine, havin more HP than Tiamat. Enjoy the lore!
You honestly have some of the most interesting videos in this genre. Most like to think shoving Strahd and/or Vecna down one's gullet never gets old and the bad thing is Vecna is one of my 5 favorite DnD antagonists.
Being respected by Manshoon, Fzoul, AND Sememmon.. That's as far as I've gotten into the video, and already I'm impressed by her as someone who is most familiar with lore up to 3.5e! None of those guys can say the same about being respected by all the others. 😂 Manshoon can't even respect himself, all his clones are like Victor Von Doombots and think they're the real thing.
When you think about it, The good thing about contradictions between versions… it created a ‘character of legend’, who have elements of mystery. Those villains are both frustrating, And intriguing. As for the Keep, I do agree with you. The old descriptions sound more authentic, while Some of the new descriptions seem to try and give it a ‘Disney from hell’ design.😂😂😂 I know I’ve said this, time and again but love your videos, and the work you put into this😊 By the way, I know this has been done before but I’d love to see one about the different legends concerning how Asmodeus came to be.. (I’m not asking for too much😂😂😂)
I'm about to start a Waterdeep Dragon Heist campaign next week running all 4 villains including Manshoon (his clone anyways). This Pereghost dude seems like he wouldn't be happy about a Manshoon clone popping up again. What do you think the Pereghost is doing while Manshoon tries to reclaim the Black Network along with control of Waterdeep in general? P.S. You did mention he eas respected by Manshoon...was he subservient to Manshoon? Would he be subservient to a clone?
Hi! I think Perrghist is an excellent executive. He is loyal to the cause not to Manshoon, but given Manshoon tries to unite black network, the cause would be good enough for the Pereghost to follow it. I think it doesn't matter whether it's clone or real Manshoon. Yes, one of Manshoon versions was there. He still is. He allied himself with Fzoul at some point, Fzoul put the Pereghost in charge, so I expect Manshoon to be somewhere around Darkhold too, experimenting and researching magics, but not interested in taking over.
@TellmeLore Yeah, according to Ed Greenwood's YT channel, the real Manshoon is still out there letting everyone think he's dead and profiting off of the Black Network while avoiding the drama. I feel like the Pereghost would be one of the few people who knows this or suspects him and therefore wouldn't necessarily want to help the clone in Waterdeep per se. It looks like in 5e they've kinda erased Pereghost, and nobody really knows what to do with him, but it's fun to think about the hierarchy and possibilities for the Clone since it obviously knows about Pereghost.
@@Vandylizer I think they will reinstate him in modern adventures, given his appearance in Secrets of Zhentsrim:Darkhold, which is quite a modern book, issued in 2020 or something. The descriptions there take place as of 1492DR, which is very close to modern events.
Hi, you can find him the book Secrets of Zhentsrim: Darkhold. He has own stat block there+ those spirits which I shared in video. I think I shared link in description of video too.

you mentioned Cyric, now we need a video explaining this completely harmless character
😂
Cyric did nothing wrong
@@A_real_Ha_So 😯

@@TellmeLore cant wait for this that one, i meant The One, Lord Cyric

Hello I really enjoy your videos Thank you for all the hard work Perhaps someday you can do a video on Aoth Fezim or Jarlaxle
Great suggestion!

I'm confused about the 5e stat block. You said he was a CR 20, but the stat block says CR 18, and I can't find him on D&D Beyond.
