I have been following them since around the time of that Enter Sandman cover ( just like I have followed Yoyoka, Sina, Ellen & Nandi Bushell ) & it was amazing to watch them EVOLVE in real time over a period of about 10 years! They worked hard at their craft and have become so solid and are so confident & have such great stage presence at this point! They are very personable off stage as well. The drummer, Pau, is an absolute fireball & sings lead vocals on some songs as well...she also kind of acts as the spokeswoman for the band. Dani & Pau are more outgoing than Ale but Ale has become a good bassist and has found her own niche on the stage! They tour & record relentlessly and have garnered a very dedicated following worldwide. I read somewhere that they were the ONLY act at these MTV VMA's that pre-recorded both of their songs in ONE take to everyone's satisfaction...that is how polished they have become!

My favorite interpretation of this song is that it's from the perspective of his mother to Vessel. You can see in the cover art of this song that it appears to be a mother holding her child. The lyrics may suggest this, too. "I raised you in the dark..." and "I could see it in you even then, " meaning that she didn't know what was happening, but she knew something was wrong. She didn't get confirmation that something was wrong until the implied self-harm in the fourth stanza.

I am a fan of sleep token the moment I heard chokehold but what sealed the deal for me was this track. Its a very well written song and i know heavy metal fans generally dont like sleep token because of their stark contrast of music genre, you cant deny the vocals and lyrics. missing limbs is another track from previous album that follows the same pattern as this track and is amazing.

Did anyone explain to her who Toad is? Because this was a lot to take in from square one. XD

This song has some meaning for me. I have been dealing with a spouse that’s had a run of bad luck, spiraled out of control, and decided to be unfaithful. They asked for a second chance, and I gave them another chance. Picking up the pieces is hard, and this song has helped me in the process.

I think his vocal tone is more natural for his palette. His mouth is a bit unusually shaped and he has a slight lisp also. The Calcutta video gives a really clear view of his mouth and tongue while he sings. Interesting from a vocalist's perspective. Best

Few days back that little "chica" with a bass bigger than her, modelled for Miu Miu handbags!!! This follows her now famous Pepsi wink in their music video of Qué Más Quieres released last month. She and her sisters had been the face of Pepsi Black campaign in Mexico for almost an year now. Pepsi Mexico is one of the major sponsors of The Warning. Towards the end of 2020, in 2nd part of the 6 part Mayday in the Making documentary each sister was asked what they would like to be if they were not pursuing music. 16 year old Ale, wasn't sure about an alternative career then. Her elder sister & drummer, Pau, suggested - you can be a model; you got the height & the face. Lo and behold - 3 years later Alejandra VIllarreal, the generational bassist cum singer of The Warning, has got side hustles with Miu Miu & Pepsi. What a start to a parallel career!!!
