@@Patterner yeah, but I still prefer my actual experience. There are people who will experience all of ST start-to-finish in the same day. That's not the correct experience. You have to process one at a time
when he says just give me 5 more mintes, theres exactly 5 mins of the song. this whole song is throwbacks/ lyrical call backs. also the end is the start of their first album
"Just run it back" starts at -5:00 and "Give me 5 whole minutes" starts at -4:99, so you could even argue that the 5 whole minutes were not given. I don't know which interpretation I find more interesting
This whole song is one big callback. And it’s a love letter to the fans. The whole discography comes full circle and ends the story in such a beautiful way.
My dog passed away last year and I get choked up at “it’s still the autumn leaves”. For some reason it reminds me walking him in the park. He loved playing in the leaves. I miss him.
My cat passed away last month, and Euclid makes me think of her as well. Thissong already broke me before that, but now it's become very difficult not to cry to it.
You should now listen to The Night Does Not Belong To God which is the 1st track on the 1st album it bookends with Euclid as the 1st and last tracks from the Trilogy of albums...
100%, I'm a relatively new ST fan, and only really listened to TMBTE and TPWBYT, as soon as I started listening to Sundowning, I saw the lines connect, it was amazing
My personal theory is that this is called Euclid exactly because of the parallels in euclidean parallelism (especially the fifth postulate with two parallel lines that are not perfectly straight will meet at one point if they go on indefinitely). This song reaches out within itself as you mentioned but also melodically within their discography, lyrically with several different songs and thematically with the whole storytelling and lore they have from the start. It all ties a neat bow in all of ST’s themes. And with all the other scientific references they use across ll albums I’m sure Vessel is that big of a nerd and did it intentionally lmao The concept itself it’s insane to pull off but to do it with a song like this, good lord. This is so special.
As soon as the recall to The Night Belongs To You starts, I always start to cry 😢 The Trilogy is so perfectly arranged in my opinion and Vessel as well as II are genius for their music. Please continue and listen to the older songs, you won't be disappointed. Personally I love the older music even more than from the recent album.
When I first heard this song, it quite literally brought me to my knees. The crushing emotional weight of Sleep Token's discography was lifted from my shoulders, if just for a moment. They have always woven lyrical and melodic callbacks into their music, and the three masterpiece albums are fully tied together here. This song is an acceptance of the wounds on your soul. An acknowledgement that despite how bad it has always hurt, it was no accident. An acknowledgement that there is still hope, despite the flood. I have never felt anything like it before, and I have felt it ever since. When I hear this song, I know it's going to be okay. Worship.
If someone who has listened to the full trilogy doesn't ball their eyes out when The Night Does Noes Not Belong to God kicks in for the outro of Euclid then they genuinely have no soul. Unbelievable ending to an album.
This is songwriting perfection. The perfect ending to the trilogy of album all us Sleep Token fans needed. The goodbye, the perfect realisation that it’s all over. And it is okay to move on, and it is time to be somebody new. The call backs, the melodies, the enveloping feeling of love and loss. Perfection ❤
The most beautiful aspect of this song to me is not only does it end where the three albums began, but it's the only song in all 3 albums with a sense of hope and contentment. It loops back around to a new beginning with a different, more hopeful perspective.
Once you’re familiar with the previous two albums, you’ll find plenty of additional callbacks and eggs throughout the trilogy. Dude’s been hurting awhile. lol
The greatest musical experience I have ever had, was when I decided to sit down with good headphones, and listen to all 3 albums without stopping. When I finally made it to Euclid, I was weeping. "The Night Does Not Belong to God"..."The night belongs to you".
my first listen to this, i had this feeling of nostalgia. idk why. but it did. it's like it triggered something in my brain and it gave me memory flashbacks... it made me feel sad and happy at the same time. at the end of the song, hearing the part from the first song from their first album, it just hits me. tears flowing but I'm smiling. this song is just magical.
So many good callbacks to previous work, even to the EPs before Sundowning. There's a line in this song and another song on this album that hints to a previous project. Vessel is incredible, and they are amazing live. Can't wait to hear what they come up with next
Absolutely stunning. 🫶 And, the song and analysis are as well. Seriously, it’s hard to hear this song, immerse myself in it, and not feel emotional. So good.

The subtle reminder that this is album 3 of a trilogy and they've come full circle, and the epic journey that it's been across all three records, it was just beautiful and I absolutely cried like lots of us long time fans.

Not sobbing or weeping, but just... a couple tears while I disassociated. I hadn't been moved that much since Sleep Token - Bloodsport (from the room below) Sundowning starts with "The Night Does Not Belong to God" and he mirrors that in Euclid with "The Night Belongs to You" then going to "The whites of your eyes turn black in the low light.
