So glad to see you discovering Dirty Loops. Such an incredible band. I love how they've so perfectly blended the sounds of Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.

The most awesome thing about this song is that Aaron wrote all the parts for it, including Henrik's crazy bass runs and all Jonah's singing parts. There's just not many drummers who can do that. I welcome aliens if they're this talented. ;)
LOVE Dirty Loops. Am not a musician, but from the first time I heard them I was SMITTEN. Love each and every one of them. I never even paid serious attention to bass before I got hooked on DL - and became a huge fan of Henrik's. To me, their music is simply glorious, and the best of the best are the songs they've written. Hope you do Follow the Light - their astonishing collab with Corey Wong.
Welcome to the joys of Dirty Loops! They have been a bit of musical obsession for a long time, cause there is just so much cleverness in how they arranged things. Also, keep being a badass, cause as always, you are killin' it!!!
I'm not 100% sure, but I've heard that Jonah sings all the harmonies himself, and they just have Aron in the video for show. Aron also does the video editing, btw. And Jonah studied classical piano before he discovered he could sing. Some people…
It’s amazing…! Jonah sang from basically age 1, mainly in church choirs I think, but only discovered lead singing in bands at a much later age, when someone asked him if he could step in at the last minute for another lead singer… crazy 😮
"Oh, I think I'm actually quite good at singing... too. Perhaps I should do the entire choir as well..." I believe Jonah was once asked what he mainly considers himself - a keyboardist or a singer - and his response was keyboardist.
FYI: Jonah on the keys is doing all the vocals. His parents are choirmasters in Stockholm (?) and he has had classical music training. Aaron on drums arranged almost all the bass according to Henrik the bass player. All three attended the same music school. Henrik said in an interview his bass sound patches are managed by whatever it is they're using in their live performances to provide the click track, switch sound patches and trigger Jonahs prerecorded backing vocals. My guess is they're using a DAW (a macbook pro) which is more functional than a keyboard sequencer.

Hello beautiful Fairy Voice Mother , Not my cup of tea really as styles go but that being said. They are incredibly talented and to watch you have this kind of fun is great Your enthusiasm is just so contagious, you are a joy to watch and I very much liked this review😊😊 ❤
As @huckapump said in his post, Aaron wrote most of the parts, but ALLlead, harmonized and back up vocals were doneby Jonah
You know your stuff and your musically perceptive. Enjoyed this reaction and analysis...
Since you liked this, try Work Shit Out, Follow the Light, and, to hear more jazzy instrumental stuff, Ring of Saturn.
