Hello, gorgeous! I'm Lolli, your Fairy Voice Mother. I am a voice teacher & vocal anatomy nerd specialising in contemporary techniques. What I love most about this album is they had a major hit with their first album, including a ballad ("I remember you"). And then, instead of doing what their record label twinkies pushed them to do (lighten up, more radio friendly ballads & less heavy tunes), they instead got a lot heavier with songs like this. They're not a metal band; they're a really hard rock band, but they get the metal gestalt bigtime...
Great vid as always. I feel like I’m in the minority but ‘In a Darkened Room’ was always my favourite Skid Row song. Killer vocals and beautiful guitar work.

I love that you're probably the only voice coach / teacher reaction channel that is discovering Skid Row and more precisely Sebastian Bach's vocals listening to one of their harder songs, and not one of their famous ballads (which are great too in their own style and his voice is stunning in these, so totally check them out as well) but for fans of the early days like myself, Skid Row was a heavy rock band and when I was listening to their albums, I would usually skip the ballads which I had heard a millions time on radio or MTV and would just play all the rest that was way harder lol

Recently, Lizzy Hale of Halestorm stepped in as vocals for Skid Row after their vocalist (not Sebastian Bach) left the band for health reasons. Bach left Skid Row in 1996 after problems with his bandmates. Bach continued on his solo career. Recently, Bach stated that he willing to reunite with Skid Row, but members of Skid Row declined his offer. Lizzy Hale returning to her band, Halestorm because her band is planning to tour.
Wasted Time and I Remember You are the best to hear how versatile and amazing his vocals are!

Skid Row was one of the first bands I got into after stumbling onto the world of music. Started with rock and metal but went on to branch out far beyond that. Sebastian Bach is def an above-average rock singer, and other tracks better demonstrate his powerful vocals.

Skid row was definitely one of the better 80s 'hair metal' bands, I think you would definitely enjoy Tesla, Song and Emotion, Little Suzi, Toke about It

MODERN MAJOR GENERAL starts out at 180BPM. There's a sprint at the end that winds up to 240. If you do it at karaoke, you already have to know it because there's NO WAY you could read it that fast!!!

Awesome Reaction!! I just subscribed to your channel. This album debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts, the first rock album to do it. Sebastian is classically trained and an absolute beast. Everyone's go to song is Wasted Time, but In a Darkened Room & Quicksand Jesus are better in my opinion. IF you like the heavier songs, then I would suggest Monkey Wrench, Psycho Love, Livin' on a Chain Gang from this album.
Wasted time, Quicksand Jesus, In a Darkened Room, if you have not heard 2 of their biggest, "18 and Life" and " I Remember You". Though I am sure you heard the last two in passing.
I will say that, if you get to it, the end of Quicksand Jesus will blow you away
