I found a very simple way to track my insulin, which only requires a smart watch monitoring your pulse - if I eat something that has any form of sugar in it, the pulse will tell immediately. if I eat natural food, vegetables or good meat, my heart rate never rises. my pulse rises when there is insulin in the blood.

I think God created us to be attached to our parents and when that fails He has provided us the opportunity to have a relationship with Himself. We are mind, body and spirit and when our bodies receive the Holy Spirit we become even more alive with the attachment we have with the Lord. Teying to simply attach to ourselves for healing will never be enough. God has to be in it.

I have been on Carnivore way of eating for 2 years. No more depression and no more IBS with severe constipation. The gut microbiome is fed directly from the ketones in my bloodstream . When the gut bacteria ferment fiber, they make short chain carry acids, which is butyrate. The same butyrate that is already in my blood. The microbiome adjusts to its' fuel source. No irritating fiber is needed. Beef also has omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids. I am doing great without eating fish.

BS, all of our biochemistry is identical in our design. God did not create different biological designs. The difference is the internal environment. And, genes are responsible for less than 5%. That has been proven. We all are designed to nourish our bodies the same, no matter the blood type and/or the reactions to different foods. It is all about the environment. Disease's are created in a certain environment only. If the internal environment is right, diseases cannot manifest themselves. FACT! As far as diet, we were created in our biological design to live in a Garden of Eden. God did not alter our design after the flood or at anytime from his original masterpiece. We are by design natural plant eaters. That all get altered in culture and programming thru many generations and imbedded in our minds by parents. Then we take that programming thru the rest of our lives, unless we have a complete paradigm shift with an open mind. We are by design raw plant eaters. Just like the same animals that share 98% of our design are as well. FACT!! Nailed it on the fiber and processed foods info though.

There's no evidence for autism spectrum disorder being acquired post natal. However shared symptoms can be acquired post natal. Michael Rutter's work with negjected orphans highlighted this and further trauma philosophising from Dr Gabor Mate sheds interesting perspectives based on small sample studys and anecdotal evidence. However for the time being according to DSM V ASD is a neurodevelopmental life long disorder.

OK, this retired physician/psychiatrist stuck with Robert, until my head exploded. In my 42 yr. clinical psychiatry practice I treated 25K+ patients and wrote 1M Rx for psychotropic meds, mostly for anxiety and depression, eventually getting to the root causes of both. Our overactive stress responses are draining our brains of dopamine and serotonin (and many other neurotransmitters), which physicians then try to restore with anti-depressants, until even they no longer can calm us and improve our moods. Us "modern" humans have "built" physical environments and lifeways loaded with stressors driving our overactive stress responses. So, stress management is the key to recovery from anxiety and depression. Details can be found in my free online e-book PDF, "Stress R Us". Check it out, what do you have to lose?

The problem is that all carbs end up as glucose then glycogen in the body. So there has to more to it than trying to pin it both on sugar and fructose. Latter has a different metabolic pathway to the former anyway.

thank you both for this very insightful video.. i just have one question regarding the last question about sugar alternatives to get the sweetness. Dr Lustig mentions allulose.. i am curious as to why stevia was not mentioned.. and when i say stevia, i mean strictly the powdered version of the herb with NOTHING added ( stevia rebaudiana).... it has zero calories, is not made in a lab..it comes from nature.. the only process it goes through is making it into a powder... i purchase mine from frontier co op.. certified organic stevia powder.. it is not white..it is green, as one would expect from an herb which is naturally green..

money of us suffer anxiety due to the neurological stress having to filter music and other extraneous noises from the actual person's voice. Even one minute is torturous, it was OK as a kid when ads might play for 15 seconds. please help end this horrible fad thinking music must be added to everything. Any background sound I usually fast-forward and stay if it was just a brief jingle or intro. My TBI brain always diverts to the music as it tries to filter it. i've learned to swiftly hit the pause button, or it's vertigo nausea. Same goes for all of the new strobe light rapid oscillations that ought to be illegal To produce, not just warning us to brace ourselves… it's good to become aware of all forms of toxicity and harm to living things. Thanks for good works.

Good evening!! So please shed some light on using honey as a sweetener; if it is made up of fructose and glucose, then it is still in the bad books even though it is a 'natural' product due to it being comprised of fructose and fructose is bad??? Geez, do I not have any pleasures left in life? If I can't have honey in my tea, what else is left to enjoy???

Maybe you are low dopamine. Fix your dopamine and you want need so much pleasure foods. They only try to bring dopamine up. But honey does not bring dopamine to the body it only brings phenyalanine from the muscles to the brain. So langtime use of treats for plesure will bring fybro-like problems.

I’ve been following Dr Robert Lustig, Dr Jason Fung, Dr William Li, Dr Wil Bulsiewicz and a few others for a number of years now. All devote their time tirelessly to trying to re-educate the public about the importance of consuming a healthy whole food diet, i.e. food our great great grandmothers would recognise as real food. They are also sounding the alarms about the extreme dangers the current global Ultra Processed Food diet is having on billions of people worldwide. Big agriculture, big food and big pharma, are complicit by making people addicted and sick all in the name of ever increasing corporate profits. We are facing a global public health crisis on an unprecedented scale, and what we are eating is largely to blame.

When I Was a kid in the 50s my old relatives had exactly the same conclusion. The man concuded the bad consequences of sugar industry on brain health, specialy on women. The man was born in 1890, the sugar factory began in 1895 But sugar was in production first around 1905. The man did not eat sugar or margarine, at that very poisinius, but fresh fish every day. When the man was 85 he stated , I dont know any one any more they are all gone and so are thier children. He lived healthy to 95.

I am a thinking skills trainer. Intelligence is variable and fluctuates up or down depending on the stimulation that the brain receives. Dr. Marion Diamond showed this in her work with rats in the early 1980's. The modern world with computers, cell phones, automation and home appliances has reduced our daily dose of stimulation below what is necessary to maintain our natural brain speed (Neural Efficiency) to where the decline is affecting our day to day functioning, resulting in depression and for some, suicide. 15 minutes a day of brain stimulation would not only stop that decline but would actually increase our intelligence substantially. That brain stimulation is how a bunch of apes worked their way up to being humans with brains 3 times the size of their ancestors. They took turns standing up and balancing to stand guard watching for predators. That is all it took to move their brain to the top of it's range. Soon they were a lot brighter and one of them noticed that split rocks could have useful sharp edges and that pointed sticks could deter predator attacks and so here we are today. That balance process still works.

I happily switched from Erythritol and Stevia to Allulose. After 1 week I developed a continual dull headache. I removed the Allulose and the headache disappeared. Added it back in and the headache returned. Removed again and headache disappeared. So very sad that I can’t use Allulose but grateful for Erythritol and Stevia that I blend 1/4 cup Erythritol to 1/4 tsp Stevia. Replace 1 to 1 for sugar. It’s the closest taste to sugar I find. For fruit and additional flavor In baking I add Truvia or EzSweets. I’ve reversed my diabetes and lost lots of inches and have great hope for the future. Keto diets still make me nervous but I’m considering a Keto diet for the future. I am doing 16/8 IF but lower carb high protein for a couple of months. I can’t kick the Klondike bars a couple of times a wee, yet. Good luck to you all Dr. Lustig has helped me more than all the doctors I’ve seen in my life for these issues. I am a 63 year old female.
