Sig Cross Review: Pt 1 ammo testing
Переглядів 1,4 тис.6 місяців тому
I test out the Sig Sauer Cross in 6.5 Creedmor. I try 4 factory loads and 1 handload for accuracy and run a few of them over the Magnetospeed to see what type of velocity you get out of the 18" barrel.

Option 3 requires a great deal of patience, and isn't guaranteed to work, but will be much better if/when it comes to pass: simply wait for NFA (& GCA) to be revoked. Here's hoping!
How many rounds did you have through this rifle when you made this video any idea?
@@ryanh1838 I'm thinking I had shot 3 boxes of ELD-M'S before these
Thanks a lot for the very great vid and all the very useful info....
The element has the quick change barrel.
I can't wait for the end of the tax stamps on suppressors. Ask your representatives to work on repealing the 1934 NFA and 1968 GCA today! It will end the BATFE and this form.
Only when using the right ammo only if you can Gas your fire arm to work and only if you have the right sight's only if you don't mind the extra length and weight and extra malfunctions more parts to clean the probability of gas coming back into your face All things you need to consider before you even buy a suppressor and there is much much more
I measure mine by reading the numbers on the barrel
@dylanbarrett599 that's definitely the easiest way 😂
@@thelonggunner762 😜
These bullets seem much harder than i originally expected. Total pass throughs. No visual damage to the coyotes. Still early so time will tell. May be a hell of a deer bullet. But im thinking ill keep my vmax bullets for predators and other shit i want to make a mess out of.
What inch barrel?
@@mills8188 18"
Someone turned a semi automatic rifle into a single shot! But it sure looks good. From the thirty minutes I saw, junk! This weapon will not fire a full magazine. Back to KP tinker!!!
Yes, we the People need hearing protection.
Very good comparison nice job
I was hoping to learn a little about a decent can and what sizes are available. I was exhausted just answering questions that had nothing to do with me or my weapon. Ffs. I'm not even interested in one now. Probably saved me $500 or so. I should be grateful, but I feel like someone slipped a dick in my ass while I slept. I can work a computer and find a lawyer. I don't give a fuck about chickens or coyotes or fucking Bigfoot stories. This is wasted God damn time, you can never get back. Move on to a useful video. PLEASE MOVE ON!! I can only relate this to a video of a syphilitic abortion of a pygmy grudge fuck.
6.5 need more? Wtf?
.350 legend copper impacts leave bloodtrails that a blind man could follow theyre so good ...but meat damage is a problem.
Th razor is worth 5x the gun it’s on
@nathanschmidt3558 yes indeed! 😂
Way more ability than just a coyote
Yes sir explain perfectly
Very disappointing for a .243.
Nice job on the Video, may I ask what the twist rate is on your gun? Looking at purchasing a 6 ARC Savage Tactical I want to shoot light bullets but hard to find an off the shelf gun that does not have a twist rate around 1 7.5 Thanks
@@sharky3809 it's a 1 in 7.5 twist
Any advice on getting the brake off? I have an MRAD coming my way and it’ll be my first time getting a brake off. Thanks!
I clamped the barrel in my bench vise with rubber pads and put a wrench on it and hit it with my hand and it came right off.
Suppressors are a rip off.. And you'll wait months and months and months, typically for approval... That's the Truth... Any body tells you differently, they're a liar...
My last stamp came back in 22 hours and 50 minutes. The majority of them are coming back in under 2 weeks.
I'd try a 100 gr bullet before I did anything to that gun. I've seen a lot of lower grain bullets tumble out of 243 and 22-250
And do the mushroom and what's the energy?
What's the penatration at 50 and 100 yards?
@timothyperkins6847 I've been wanting to do ballistic gel testing on them compared to 300Blackout but just haven't gotten around to it. Maybe I'll get to it this spring or if we have some warmer weather
What is the bullet energy at 50 and 100 yards? Really doubt that it is enough for deer sized game!
my gunsmith threaded my skinny Ruger .243, he just had to make up an adapter to step up to the threads of the can.
What is the best suppressor for a pcp
@@joehebbo7047 I couldn't tell you, I haven't messed with any air rifles
Great video thanks for sharing buddy
Fun fact, here in the Netherlands you can use suppressors on air rifles, without any borders, only a minimum of 18 years, no permits needed. It is not legal to own or use a suppressor on fire arms. The laws for firearms are very strict here, almost everything is registered and checked every year! Most X bows, or air gun have more power than a 22, but that’s no problem. That’s the Dutch government for you, go look at YT for the fire arms degenerates and what you see looks a lot like our politicians.
Soda bottle, steel wool, duct tape and some pvc pipe……
Great video!
Honestly solid advice here. I own multiple and agree with this
Maybe you could open a Billy Goat Hunting Preserve in Iowa. Thx for the video.

How can you tell if your barrel has right twist
@@stevenhicks815 I'll make a short today showing the 2 ways I do it.
@ okay awesome thanks you
@stevenhicks815 barrel twist short is live
@ awesome thanks
Pretty good dispersion for a gas gun even a bolt gun. I'd leave everything alone and dump 20 into a group and use Hornadys group analysis app. You're probably close to that .30 mean radian.
@ajdube9967 so far this barrel is showing some pretty good potential. I just need to find some time to do more load development with it. I have too many irons in the fire 😂
It seems that this suppressor is one of the better choices for not only sound reduction but also maintaining POI and overall accuracy.
@frankbrowning328 before I purchased it, i talked to the factory rep. about their rimfire offerings mentioning that my biggest factory was retaining accuracy and he said without a doubt that the Sparrow was the can for the job.
@@thelonggunner762 I think its also the one for me. I've been researching its performance on both rifles and pistols and I think this would be perfect for my 22 LR Tikka T1X rifle
Great round ❤️😎🇺🇸🤙🏻
This is the exact gun with the parts I was looking at building
@@The_McPorkchop Great minds think alike!
@thelonggunner762 what is the bolt face side on that action? I don't see the 22 Creedmoor listed on the action sizes
@The_McPorkchop .478 the same one as the 6.5 creedmoor
.17 556
How short could you cut that 26 inch barrel down before you run into the fluting ?
The flutes start about 1 5/8" from the shoulder
I'm in the middle of deciding between the Omega 300 and the Nomad L. (Main host is a 6.5 creed) I could use your opinion on the 2. Seems the L is gonna to be quieter but is it that noticeable?
@jbryanj80 for an all around suppressor the Omega 300 is great but the Nomad L is quieter and the tone is slightly lower. The Nomad L is great on bolt guns but on an AR it can definitely gas you out with back pressure.
@thelonggunner762 Thank you. That really helps
I’ve tossing up the idea between the garmin and the lab radar but after this video I’m sold on the lx. Thank you for the content!!
