Too many women feel too entitled to hair services which is a luxury service. I'm sorry but braids should be expensive because they take a lot of time to do. $200 was already a generous price. She would rather assault someone for some braids instead of wearing her natural hair until she had the money. Thats how bad the fake hair epidemic is in our community
A childhood friend of 17 years did this over some braids? It doesn't make sense. This may have happened because of some other issue that has not been disclosed yet.
..why are people choosing between their appearance and their rent/mortgage?… You. Are. BROKE. Act like it. …why are people feeling entitled to 9 hours of free labor?… What even is this??
I honestly don’t feel hair is unkempt out of a protective style-but that’s really a ‘personal preference’ can of worms that everyone is going to have their own feelings about. Personally, I’ll sport a moisturized, shaped, shrunken Afro if I can do nothing else and look/feel put together and intentional doing it. I’ve done it since I’ve cut my hair and my whole world did not pause or end because of it. At the end of the day, beggars simply can’t be choosers and people wonder why we push self-acceptance so hard. Situations like this one should never be this desperate.
Clients not paying taking advantage of stylists being is what made me lose passion for doin hair and finishing hair school. Stories like these made me not want to go back to hair school or start a braiding salon. You have to have a stun gun or a gun on you to protect yourself from violent clients now?! Crazy work smh
Why waste someone's time and energy and try to get over on them for some hair? If you can't afford it, you just can't afford to get it done. Or find someone in your price range
Hey. I seen a video on tiktok of a bw using shea butter on her hair and water as a healthier moisturizer 😊It can also be used a substitute of gel when doing mini twists and braids

I agree 💯 percent 🤎🤎🤎
Then people wonder why stylist require upfront deposits. This was so sad to hear.
Right…I have no problem with deposit and feel every stylist should charge one or require a card to be on file🤎
She should've been grateful that she only had to pay $200 for a 9-hour service.
💯🤎🤎🤎
I sincerely don't understand how people can be so shameless... Wasting people's time like this smh
Right smh 🤦🏾♀️
I wish she had a gofundme so ppl could bless her for the holidays
Me too…I tried to look the stylist up but couldn’t get a confirmed social media🤎

Exactly. When I was broke, people bullied me because my hair looked a mess but I was working on my future and couldn't be able to focus on my hair.
💯especially at the “you are broke act like it”🤎

Hey 👋🏾 that’s awesome…can you email it to me if you can 🤎…coffeecuties777@gmail.com🤎🤎🤎
This is awful! Something deeper is going on with the client. I feel so bad for the braider. That bite mark looks terrible.
I hope she went to the doctor for it bc u right it looks bad and I don't want it to get infected
I feel bad for her too smh and I hope she got it check out as well🤎
Require payment upfront from clients simple that woman should b ashamed… childhood friend?! Dnt think so.

This is why you work in a salon with security, instead from your apartment.
I agree🤎🤎🤎
sounds drug related
I agree and I honestly wished they would have disclosed the full story because it still horrible even with the added details 🤎
The same people who would say later "iT's jUsT hAiR" yeah you want to eat hairstylists to have your hair done 🫠
