On the GRX levers, did you try to maximize the lever reach via the reach adjustment? That will provide room under the lever for three fingers. Also, lever ergonomics is very much a personal preference. I have small hands (wears size S gloves) and I don't think I would be comfortable holding the Red levers. I have the GRX and the levers fit me perfectly. In fact I had to decrease the lever reach to its minimum.

If you want a fantastic West Virginia bikepack loop that can be done over a weekend (100 miles), check out the route called, Canaan Valley and the Forks of Cheat. It has the route you can put on your bike computer. That bike is ideal for the route if you put 2.1 inch tires on it with medium knobs for traction such as Mezcals.

I get it that Sram red is cool and works well.... Any chance to do some builds with even force or Rival and what thoughts are on those? Red Lever sets go for close to $1200 by themselves. In todays landscape budget builds and parts are important and I feel a lot of new cyclist get turned off by the "need to have the best" mentality. Im guilty of it myself and want to see other options I guess 🤷‍♂. Otherwise love the builds and content you guys put up here and keep up the good work!!

Please check the 42/49 by Reserve and compare it to the 52/63. With the DT Hub 240 they could be a great deal. Still super wide but around 1400g.

I had a cervelo caledonia 5 a few years back..its one of the most comfortable endurance bikes out on the market..I regret getting rid of it for a s-works tarmac sl7 back then..I was able to ride all day long and wouldn't feel beat up after a long ride..I think this new one is lighter and has a nice storage compartment

Are you able to replace the seat post with a Ergon CF Allroad Pro Carbon Seat Post? I’m asking cause it seems that the oem post has some geometric shape design .

20 pounds is fine with pedals and cages. What wheels did you use? I had a set of XC wheels with DT 180 hubs built buy YUSHIN, 1200 grams, reasonable price and durable too for a 1200 set of wheels.

Hey guys, I'm looking into buying one of the old Madones, gen 7. and that has roughly the same geometry as this new Madone gen 8. I'm confused about this toe overlap issue because it was never mentioned in the videos about the gen 7. Is it true about the gen 7 as well? I'm 6ft, size 45 shoe, 170cranks looking at the size 58 gen 7. seems like i'll have an issue with that frame as well if the geometries are basically the same..

how is the Madone g7 vs the S5?

I have a Roubaix with an adjustable future shock and am looking to add a gravel bike to the stable. I don't want to pay an extra £2500 on top of the already £5k price tag to get 3.3. Bike ships with 3.2. The Specialized support page list that the item is sold on the main site. I can't find it anywhere. Is it only sold via bike stores? I would like to order it without any additional mark-up.
