This might be the one of best cycling UA-cam channels in existence.
Refreshing content.
Agreed. Never did I see my self binge watching this typa stuff
Y’all have very quickly become my fav cycling channel. The crew and the vibe is amazing, and even if the video is about a bike I’ll never buy I always have to watch.
See y'all at Despair! I'm riding a Niner Sir9 with full frame bag, 2x11 mechanical, 100mm fork. That Epic WC will be perfect.
My fitness is crap these days but I still love bikes. Thanks for the builds I really enjoy them
Never thought I would watch a 30min video about a bike I will never even consider riding. Enjoyed it all the way 😂 congrats, guys. You rock 🔥
That is one of the sickest paint jobs I've ever seen on a bike. Spesh killed it
you guys are pumping amazing content. Love it!
I called and talked to SRAM about flight attendant for hardtails a couple months ago. They said that the version their racers were using was a prototype but stay tuned.
Thanks for the help today Jesse🤘
Start them young!🚲🚲🚲
gloworm lights
you can setup whatever brightness you need in the app and store the different modes. Other big benefit is that it's USB-C. You can power it with any Powerbank, very useful for ultra/bikepacking.
Bags
clearly tailfin, does not move, very stable. Downtubebags also very handy
Outbound Lights! Super high quality and easy.
8:52 Ladies this is why you should choose bike mechs!
Really enjoy your channel. You’re bringing some great content and information to the masses.
I got the Zipps over the Rovals after watching your video. They are surprisingly compliant and composed, exactly as advertised! I’ve never ridden the Roval Controls for long enough to know, But I do miss a little more feedback and stiffness that maybe the Zipps give up?? But only from a Feeling/Sensation standpoint - Not a performance hit that I have noticed. I can blast through root gardens with more speed with these Hitops. Edit: And that frame color is absolutely rad good choice !
I did the Unbound 350 on my HT with flat bars with aero bars. The fit worked way better and gave me multiple positions for my 27 hrs. Cheap easy option IMO.
Nice custom build. I really like those pedals too but never used them.
Love your channel and what you do here. 'Very interested in gravel-esque build using that frame.
The content lately is awesome and I’m always shocked how much you guys are putting out. I’m so tempted by this bike as our local xc series is basically gravel road climbs with blue trail, and sometimes green, descents. I am curious how it does on small drops and features though since have a few legit xco races, one of which is now a USAC series race.
Actually I think it’s best on drops. Small bumps is where it lacks compared to a traditional XC bike.
Well dang. Kind of makes me sad but also glad there’s no larges for sale 😂 or I might have to order one.
@@brianrowbotham4010 we've got a large in stock in one of the 2025 colors www.thebicyclestation.com/epic-wc-sw-frm-ashgry-dunewht-sea-l.html
The frames on the black friday sale went super quick
Probably not the best bags for bike-packing as they probably don't have the volume you need for multi-day riding, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on the bags from ORR Cycling. I picked up the whole Exploration Bundle and think they're great but admittedly they're the only ones I've had besides a really simple and small saddle bag.
If I have a current WC Pro with the brain damper and wanted that same lockout setup do I just need the FA damper and the handlebar remote?
Emails sales@thebicyclestation.com and we can send you what ya need!
Very Crazy color. What looks better in person this or the red?
Both are sick but definitely different vibes. Red changes more in the light, this one pretty much is always super colorful
Look at Tailfin bag setup
I am considering getting the R5 CX but waiting to hear your thoughts on the bike.
Most likely won't have a video about that one, but reach out to Jesse to get his thoughts on it! You can email him at sales@thebicyclestation.com or dm him on instagram @jesse_bicyclestation
Very cool video (as usual)!!! On the FA: is the PEDAL position a real PEDAL fork setting or just an OPEN one? On mine, I have 1xLOCK and 2xOPEN fork settings...
It’s a real pedal fork setting
@@bicyclestation Such as rigidity is LOCK > PEDAL > OPEN? How did you manage to have those three different settings?
It comes like that out of the box?
Couple of people and me having LOCK >> PEDAL = OPEN on a world cup - awkward!
If you have* to use the brain fork (not changing it in time), do you have any setup tips for bikepacking like Doom?
I won the 200 mile with a brain fork last year. It’s really not a bad idea to run it. It’s actually pretty good at gravel. Not as good as flight attendant but i wouldn’t stress about it.
what is the part numbers for the flight attendant for this upgrade? I have the same frameset. What weight oil and amount did you add?
Email sales@thebicycestation.com and we can help you out!
I bought a world cup recently, in the manual it says the max travel for frame is 110mm. I watched several other videos that mentioned it was rated for a 120 fork, so I was surprised to read that. Has specialized changed on this or is this a warranty burner?
Yea that’s my bad. I bet it’s a warranty burner. It rides awesome with a 120 lol.
I’ve never seen somebody set up rear sag on a hardtail before 😅
Only remove the damper of the brain fork, put in the FA damper and add the RS FA module?? Thx
Yep. Shoot us an email at sales@thebicyclestation.com if you want us to source the parts for you. We have them in stock
I’d love to build out a red one.
If you ride an XS, Small, or XL we can still get you one!
Always curious about you two boots
Boots are Blundstones! We've both had them for a few years - they are just solid boots
Just in case I missed it: Is Flight Attendant working without the damper unit or is it still not possible?
What do you mean?
@@bicyclestation I was talking about the hardtail use case. But I missed the part at 3:50.
Can someone explain to me why this is a hardtail?
The shock stays stiff unless you hit something whereas traditional full suspension is always moving
@@bicyclestation thanks for the reply
What size is that frame?
Small
Is your frame a Small or X-Small?
Small
My problem is I have a long torso but short legs...therefore the stand over measurement of a Small is 781mm is way too high for me. I couldn't straddle the top tube, so I need a X-Small and use a 90 stem to fit my reach. Every Gravel frame on the marketplace, I need to get the smallest size the manufacturer makes but my long torso would require a 110-120 stem.
@@SamHoliday-i1e if you email us at sales@thebicyclestation.com we can help you out with the geometry comparisons
What's wrong with the maxxspeed tires ?
They are really stiff and hard
@@bicyclestation Interesting. I've ridden the Aspen Maxxspeed the whole year, and i love them
Try the 170 tpi ones
@@bicyclestation Any experience with the puncture protection on 170 tpi ? Any worse than 120 ?
I'm surprised this colorway had any stock left
that bike is a "Softtail"
Full frame bag are kinde useless with small frames. I usually put my water storage there, because it doesn't have that much capacity. Btw. who rides with bottles in 2025? :D
Need your Dub SL vs Wide take in the comments.
Chase here - As of this week I got a bike fit on the World Cup. I'm officially switching away from the wide cranks to help with some hip & knee pain I've been having. Wide was just a bit too wide with how my knee was tracking as I pedaled
Way more about the rider than the bike. Need to put the miles in. 2023 Tour Divide winner on the Trek Supercaliber. First time a FS MTB won.
Idk I think if you put the rider on a better bike they would be better.
Honestly I thought this was about an Ozark Trail bike (walmart) getting some epic/excessive groupset lolol
Haven't done that one yet, but might on a rainy day - who knows!
The cable routing through headset is a no go for me. What wheels are you running? Did I miss that… bike seems heavier than it should be.
What’s wrong with headset cable routing?
Zipp hi top sw.
Most world cups we build land around 23lbs.
Mine is currently like 22.9 lbs with narrower tires.
Still seems heavy with no dropper. Maybe all the extra weight is in the wheels/tires. This should be much closer to 22lbs based on the quoted frame weight. I’ve got full suspension non-sworks 100-115mm bikes coming in at 23.5lbs.
The headset seal seems like it would allow water/dirt ingress to headset bearings more than a traditional setup would. Purely aesthetic and not adding value to me. Harder to work on, more headset maintenance…
Also, from a pure aesthetic point, seems like you have to slam the stem. Which looks weird with the narrow spacers. Do they make spacers that would seem less fit?
Great deal on a sworks…and I agree with you should have an option to upgrade to the 120 SID.
Oh this does have a dropper. That’s where the weight is coming from. We added it at the end of the video
Have you ever worked on through the headset routing? It is no more difficult than through the frame, the cables move with the bar without needing to have excess cable for turning, visually better and the frame easier to clean. You can use Jagwire 3mm housing for more flexible routing. You can get S/S headset bearings and bearings that need no servicing but in reality a bit of extra grease protects them. I have a Scott Spark RC.
@@johnlesoudeur3653you do you…but I also much prefer wired Shimano shifting over any AXS system.
Just came across the channel of Elena, the graphic designer for that frame.

Non-matching cages - unacceptable
only khaki - purple colour clash is unacceptable here ;)
Bike is cool but the color makes me shudder with disgust.
It's definitely a look and not for everyone. It took awhile for it to grow on me and now I love it
23:04 bro wash your bottles, goddamn
Not sure how $500 off is a good deal on Black Friday when you can buy these from the local store anytime for much less.
They are 3000$ off
Please get rid of these rekon, slow and heavy!
We know haha. It’s durable and dependable. Not stressing about all out speed for her doing this event.
Your videos are over saturated. That color isn't accurate
