Huge thanks for helping me get my epic 8 frameset! Highly recommending just reaching out to the team there and they’ll find away to make your dreams happen.
could you tell me pls what size frame did you choose and how tall are you? Thanks
@ sure thing. I’m 6’ 1” and went with an XL. I actually had the geometry checked by a fitter before I bought it and he thought the XL was the best fit for me. I have a long torso but a shorter inseam. But the odd thing about the XL frame compared to the other sizes, is that the seat post insert is very high. So I ended up having to get a 125 dropper post which is fully inserted to get the right seat height.
@@stevejohnson18many thanks
Jesse, Thanks for putting this build together and filming (great job!!), I did score a set of Control SL Team edition wheels, stupid light. 1st ride will be New Years Day!! Hopefully I won't get dropped through the rock gardens anymore. Have a great New Year.
Jesse every time I watch your videos my mind is blown how you know so much about those little details that make up all of these complicated components!! You really know your stuff bro!
Super awesome build! I will be ordering an Epic 8 sometime soon and I am super excited!
Good job on this one. Love seeing the “know how” you’ve accumulated over the last couple years.
Im glad my rear brake hose tip somewhat made it into this video, altough I pull out way more hose, almost all of it, and push it in by hand from the bottom bracket like that. But seems like it went way smoother now than in the other vid. I did the pliers method a few times myself and cursed a fair bit lol.
More great content from you guys. Definitely looking forward to every upload. We also need Denim of the Day lol.
Literally can't wait for my Pike F/A🤘🏼
That color is so nice. If I had the money I would be snatching one
Don’t be like me (Austin) and get flight attendant on your bike 😅
But really, shoutout again to ya’ll for getting me this frame only a few weeks after the launch. Still loving it almost a year later.
Color is so sick!
Would you guys consider doing a vid on upgrading Epic WC to FA? or point to a vid if you've already done it. I tried looking online and couldn't find a single video or article about it. Thanks a bunch, love the vids!
It’s just a normal damper swap. The module slots right on top.
Please look at an Orbea oiz
I like bikes
Is it possible to get flight attendant for a Pinarello xc ?
I think flight attendant still has issues. In the World Cup this year Erie Richard’s said she “hoped” her attendant locked out her fork in the sprint as it wasn’t reliable, and one would assume she has good mechanics.
I think they’ve fixed that. But could be wrong.
My experience with flight attendant is that it’s better at locking out than not. I think it does take some of the controls out of your hands and that could be strange. Kinda like driving a manual your whole life and jumping into an automatic.
Any idea when the new colors will be released (approx)
Haven’t heard anything but I’m guessing really soon. Hard to sell them when everything is sold out lol
I work at a bike store and the specialized rep told me there probably isn't going to be new colours for 2025
@@bicyclestation Satin Carbon/Metallic White Silver frame only, is this not an option?
First!!!!!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Is it possible to upgrade a '23 oiz to flight attendant or does the rear shock not fit the frame?
I see how Laura Stigger win Loan Lecomte because she had stiffer head angle on epic than on canyon lux
@bicyclestation did you put here normal flight attendant rear shock or this with magic middle setup ?
I think if you’re buying a new shock for the epic 8 you’d want it. They don’t really sell a normal one. They all are specifically tuned for the intended bike.
Is the fork cartridge the same one that Specialized uses? does it have magic middle calibration?
There’s no magic middle in the fork. So yes it’s the same.
@bicyclestation Do you know where I can buy flight attendant rear shock made in the Magic Middle system?
I have them in stock. Email me sales@thebicyclestation.com
@@bicyclestation is it necessary, can I use a normal flight attendant without magic middle, what type did you use on this bike?
Curious why you never talk about what bottom bracket and headset you use..pretty important in my builds!!
I do if they are interesting. If their stock I don’t spend to much time on it
Qual o peso ??
Wait so customers have to pay you more money so you can use their bike, that they just paid for, to make a video that you make money on? Wut.
These videos take so much time to make, they’re really not making money on UA-cam.
@@Michael-fi6ve totally agree. And their customers don’t HAVE to have their bikes filmed lol
@@Michael-fi6ve they’re literally filming something they were already paid to do and it’s not like these videos are cinematic. There’s almost no editing.
@@sneakerjoe23you’re a dumb dumb , this video is heavily edited. They know how long it takes, and it takes multiple people and a lot more time to film this.
The reason it has to cost money is down to demand. I couldn’t possibly do it for every single one we sell. Especially if the business continues to grow. Making a video is labor intensive. We pay for the editing. It’s totally optional. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have the customer pay a bit to subsidize the production cost.
