Does the standard Ga47 with the m7 sound as good as the XT version using the m7 head?

I have started watching your videos and cannot tell you how much I appreciate them. I hope that you will continue on as I am starting to share the videos. I do own the dlx and it’s amazing!!!! Especially when paired with my Neumann mics! I use it more than my manly force. I have opened and saw the Carhill Transformers and the high end capacitors, it really is a beautiful unit. Stay up my friend.

Whats the difference in sound between the ga 251 and the Golden Age Premiere ELA M251E. I take it the 251 is fixed cardiod and the latter multipattern, but does the fixed cardiod sound as good as the 251E in cardiod mode? Or is it better?

M49's always have a nice kind of compression in the midrange to my ears. The top end is open without sounding really bright, it's hard to explain. Sounds great!

Working on a circuit emulation of these! I know it's been done before, but I'm trying to be super faithful to the schematics! It's a great piece of kit that I want to get into everybody's hands!

This voice can also be recorded with the phone's microphone, and it still sounds fantastic

Welcome back, Christian! Gefell is great microphones, I had 930 and tube 990. These are not Neumann type sound at all. CMV 563 sounds GREAT in your video! Fun fact: Germans engineers forced to send capsule samples and drawings to Chinese, so they sent wrong stuff to China and Chinese engineers have not been able to recreate "that sound". Real fact: Communism killed much more people that fascism (only in USSR 40+ millions died in concentration camps). Since 2014 Ukraine is fighting for Freedom against russians barbarians (and yes, communist party is still exists in russia).

Do a comparison with 5 other mics and the same vocal fx and compression. I'd be curious what the difference is. Sounds really good though. (I feel like microphones are one of those elusive things where you can spend 5K and most people wouldn't be able to tell it from a RODE)

I think some things just work for a reason. I tried to go against the grain and be different but sometimes you have to listen to reason. Finally gave in and bought a 73.

Nice video. Can Dynamic EQ function also like somekind of "mastering deesser" to which you can "push" the mastering EQ units (placed before SSL) into? Does it have Q settings or just frequency band settings? I'm looking all oer the place for some mastering hardware deesser to play with in a mastering chain if needed, and the only ones that "make the target" (have specs. that don't destroy your mix) are over 3000 eur, more like 4000 eur. So I'm looking for a cheap way out, haha.
