Please give us more videos like this, great recordings with the M49. One day maybe I will get one….but until that day I can only enjoy these recordings
M49's always have a nice kind of compression in the midrange to my ears. The top end is open without sounding really bright, it's hard to explain. Sounds great!
@@MillSounds I haven't had that much experience with M7 capsules but both the M49 and the CMV sounds fantastic. The ring of the K67/k47 capsules can be somewhat annoying sometimes
Sounds absolutely beautiful....Love the M49 on the Vocals through the AT-3 and your Guitar sounds phenomenal through the 1272. The M49 really does sound more natural than any Vintage U47 I have heard....I am a huge Ribbon buff and the M49 has that special je ne sais quoi....Thanks for the gorgeous videos.....best wishes!
@@nickafflitto7519 thank you? I really enjoyed it, more so maybe the M7 capsule. Did you check out my CMV 563 video? I really liked how that sounded as well 🙏
@@Christian_svedin I have heard the 563 video. I prefer the M49. I think a little more detail comes though while still retaining a lot of the warmth I hear from the 563. Thanks for making these!
@@NUCLEARARMAMENT I wouldn't use the word overrated when it comes to the U47 but it is more colored. The M49 is more transparent and more laid back in the midrange. I thought it almost was to smooth while recording but the result was very balanced.
@@thedome765 in vintage wonderland: M49, M269 and the CMV 563. In current production I liked the GAP 8000 and the Chandler Redd the most so far. Thanks for watching 🙏
@@Christian_svedin Interesting! In vintage wonderland it's all about Neumanns, but no currently produced N approximation / knockoff make it to the top for you?
@@kimwirzenius9955 Well I'm a vintage fanboy 🤣 the CMV is quite affordable though! I wouldn't mind owning the Chandler Redd. I would like to try out the M49V and perhaps more microphones with an M7 capsule
@@RainnyBooBi After I tried most clones on the market and also a vintage 251 I have to say I much prefer Neumann. I would love to try a C12, that is probably the last "famous" mic I haven't tried otherwise I used them all by now

Great to see you on the Neumann M49
Great job! That M49 sounds so natural, real and at the same time larger than life. My dream mic👌

loving that sound of the AT3 and M49 combo beautiful mids. Top end super smooooth love it!
@@shopdummys2441 yes it worked very well. I really enjoy the AT-3 preamp. One if the best tube pres on the market
My favorite microphone on my voice!
Such a great voice. Always a joy to visit this channel.
Could you do a review on the Neumann tlm49 too in the future? Thanks. Great song btw. 👍
You deserve a mic review. Anyway, the m49 vocal tone is really good.
My favorite microphone on my voice.
Do a review on the TLM 49 please?
I don't know, to me it sound like the Sony mic, but retro and vibey. Love it.
Which one
Amazing vocals and sound! Would you say the U47 stacks up to the M49?

Thank you. Great voice as always . .and I love this song [and I'm not a fan of most 70s music : ) ]
@@RockmannMusic thanks man! The song and lyrics are a masterpiece 🚀

The lip synced performance is a strange choice.
