Precious to watch.🤩

I just finished setting up my very first Media Journal. There I plan to keep tracks of the books I read, movies and shows I’ve watched, songs and albums I’ve been listening too and all that fun stuff. But now I really want to start an artist notebook journal for references and art notes 😭 I already have many journals and you enable me to get more 😂

My journal lineup didn't change persay, but I went from 1 page per day in a standard/TN size notebook to 2 pages on weekdays which is changing my system quite a bit! I will need at least 1 additional notebook before June when I have to decide what I will use for the rest of the year or until next June depending on how things go. I am liking the possibilities the extra space gives me though, so I hope that pans out over the next few months!

Your videos always inspire me! I’ve been using a little moleskin daily for a summary & some deco which I’ve been consistent with so far. But I wanted to do a little more, where to put ephemera, vision boards, random entries etc. I’ve always loved hobonichi weeks size but not the layout, so I’m going to try the memo pad that’s the same size! And only 40 pages so I can stick in a lot of bulky things

Love you videos as always, I have a few to catch up on! Your commentary is always to refreshing and calming, and your whimsical and sweet journaling style inspires me to do my own journaling! Im not very consistent, so this year I’m doing a page a day (of what I did) in my little moleskin daily, and decorating with sticker or two. It’s been great so far! Very quick and not overwhelming, and I like to match the stickers to what I did so far. I’m thinking if I’m consistent most of this year, I’ll get a hobonichi weeks for next year for planning for uni. And decorating it like you do! Happy new year🫶🏻

This month's printables are so cute! I mean, they ALWAYS are, but it's so exciting to see what you come up with every time ☺ I'm really glad for the music ones as it's something very present in my day to day, so I know I'm going to make good use of them 🎶 And I'm also SO happy about the little scenes, they are the cutest and will definitely be very useful too 🥰 Can't wait to print them and play with them in my journals ✨

Beautiful spreads! I love seeing the highlights of each day or what was most notable <3 I also have dedicated spreads talking me out of cute purchases 😭 I think it's a good way to get it out of my system! My hobonichi has also, unfortunately, had pretty bad quality. I like to use markers in my journal and I've yet to have a page without bleed through 😥but I'm also just taking it in stride! Thank you for sharing~

They’re all so sweet!!! I miss my Discman but especially my iPod, the scroll wheel was wonderful and I even had a skin for it by one of my favourite illustrators. I miss having buttons for my music. Love the shopping montage and I adore the tiny kitties too - they make me wonder what their story is. I spent a couple of weeks in December downloading everything so I’ve been mixing and matching the archive which is fun. Thanks for another great month!

Love your entire collection of samples! They look beautiful all together!!! It's difficult to select a favorite. BTW, "ume" sounds like "ooh-may/meh". "Cha" means "tea".

This was wonderful!! You have to try sketching with the really fun shading inks - they have become some of my favorites to sketch with. It can be so interesting. I’m such a sucker for watercolors too. I actually have Ume Murasaki inked right now and am looking at Lullaby for February. It fits really well with my color scheme. It’s so fun finding another fountain pen lover and artist! Glad you found me too. 💜

I love a red ink or 'red adjacent'. I have the purple Murasaki. Interesting to see the red version.

Wanna know a secret? Diamine makes akkerman inks. But the bottle is really what puts them over the top!

Hi Maike! Love this video! I love all of these- and yep had to order some of these samples for myself- kirisame ♥️ ume Murasaki♥️ and the colorverse- I just ordered a bottle. I hope I like it. The color is pretty - but I too usually don't like watery inks.

Oh that's a good contender for a pencil gray! I'm going to try this with my octopus write/draw ink - grey meerkat.

Lovely to see the new inks and hear your thoughts. No worries about the chaos which really is just authentic because I’m all over the place when I swatch inks. It’s fun but i could never talk at the same time! So I have the diamine Inkvent calendar and I find the more I revisit the ink colors the more my opinion changes. 😅

I love that akkerman purple!! I love Lullaby too but I’ve yet to find a good pen pair for it. So fun watching this, thank you!!

Not a paint-related comment, but I used to be able to easily reposition stickers and washi in my Hobonichi planners, but the new paper does NOT want to let them go. ☹️

Watercolors have worked perfectly for me. All my markers bleed except Faber Castell. 😭

The paper in Sterling Ink planners is different this year too. But I’ll be applying your philosophy of making it work. 😊
