This was wonderful!! You have to try sketching with the really fun shading inks - they have become some of my favorites to sketch with. It can be so interesting. I’m such a sucker for watercolors too. I actually have Ume Murasaki inked right now and am looking at Lullaby for February. It fits really well with my color scheme. It’s so fun finding another fountain pen lover and artist! Glad you found me too. 💜

Lovely to see the new inks and hear your thoughts. No worries about the chaos which really is just authentic because I’m all over the place when I swatch inks. It’s fun but i could never talk at the same time! So I have the diamine Inkvent calendar and I find the more I revisit the ink colors the more my opinion changes. 😅

It's quite the convincing combo! I have this one snippet I wrote with it in my Hobonichi Cousin and I keep thinking that I wrote it in pencil (which I never write with pencil in there and it somehow confuses me every time).

@ Yes, sometimes an ink can grow on me! Diamine lullaby seemed boring at first but now it’s a lovely color I actually use!
I love that akkerman purple!! I love Lullaby too but I’ve yet to find a good pen pair for it. So fun watching this, thank you!!

Oh that's a good contender for a pencil gray! I'm going to try this with my octopus write/draw ink - grey meerkat.

I love a red ink or 'red adjacent'. I have the purple Murasaki. Interesting to see the red version.
It's a real chameleon ink, depending on the paper and the lighting scenario! I like how much character it has.
