FUNKYTown!! And maybe a touch of absinthe to boot! Fantastic!

Tough to complain about Springbank, but that little extra distillation does take a little body out of most of their 46% offerings. I feel like bumping that up to 48-50 would solve the problem. It’s not like they aren’t priced that way already.

48% would be a welcome change.
In my mind, going up from 46 to 48 for distilleries like Springbank, Ardbeg, Talisker would be a noticeable improvement.

Next time I will send you both samples 😂 great to get your views on this one. I love it, for me it beats most modern SB18s, just a style I enjoy. Cheers guys.

"I like dirt." Absolutely and real whisky folk like some dirt and complexity. We like other stuff too. My default Springbank alternative is Benromach, especially their Limited Releases. It's old school whisky and available. Springbank isn't. I'm sipping on the Springbank 12 (100% ex-bourbon) whilst you're talking about this. 46% isn't good enough for high end stuff any more. 50% minimum. WT
