It may be obvious but worth stating anyway that most of these companies don’t design their own bikes. The hardest and most expensive part of developing these bikes is the design. But most companies in the space right now are just buying “catalog” bikes off of Chinese manufacturing companies that quickly design bikes to sell. Most of these look like they are drawn with a crayon and then built. Most of these frames don’t go through computer aided design to stress test the frame and refine the strength and then do actual stress testing after to confirm. This is all part of the design that is done by all large bike companies and there’s only a few of us that do all of this design, refinement, testing. The catalog bikes are sometimes ok looking, sometimes awful, but always a cheaper and faster way of launching a bike company than taking on the design and development of your own products.

The US has super huge mineral deposits of lithium that is just now being noticed and beginning to be processed for battery manufacturing. Lets see in 10 years how our rich deposits get utilized for electrical engineering purposes.

How about not live on a bike and have a life outside of riding a bike? Bikes are a tool or for enjoyment.. Do not let bicycles consume your life. It's not a horse or car. Bike batteries are a commodity that is still in its infancy. Years ahead bike batteries will be cheaper as technology increases. $50 for a big bike battery will be common as cars and motorcycle battery technology increases and increased production becomes the norm.

Good information, the price they are charging for the replacement battery is ridiculous

I have two batteries on my Kepler. It is sufficient for 60-75% of where I ride. I am looking into upgrading to a better battery that can be fast charged at EV stations. Adding an additional or larger battery also adds more weight and reduces performance. The investment is worth it to me, as I use my bike as my primary transportation

I would spend $3,500 for a nice scooter that goes over 50mph. Just need to get one with some 13" tires and a 60-72v 35-40 ah battery. Motorcycle helmet and pads . Lol. Im not afraid of going 45mph on nice roads.

I will get an E-Cells Monstar or one of their not yet shown bikes that can achieve 45 mph constant speed if ever priced good. I have in mind to get the Billy Goat because it can do about 45mph constant speed . Only problem is, the Billy Goat is $2,600 with a single 25 ah 60V. Extra battery showing an over $600 price. Voltage is closer to a 72V on those Goat batteries however.

I do like the looks of the Ghost Cat 2.2 pro. Yes DoubleTake motorcycle mirrors. I have on my DRZ 400. They fit on my Kepler too😂. You can fold them easily when you don't want them sticking out.

I'm not impressed with the Graffiti X range tests. I do like the 2 inch bar risers I saw someone add. I guess looks of an E bike are "To Each Their Own". Like I like the traditional bike look more than Motorcycle look. Real Bike instead of Mini Bike look with the gas engine replaced by a battery. I Don't like those much. Non seat post bikes I prefer to pass on. No gears, I'm not a fan. Bikes over 90 lbs I can't see as practical.

I bought 3 ebikes in the last year. 2 identical ones, so I'll always have replacement parts.

As far as looks go, I think some industrial engineers think they have to go crazy with the appearance, since its a relatively new technology. The moped style looked really odd to me at first, but then I got an Ariel Grizzly and like your Graffiti, I found it more appealing in real life. The Graffiti is a good looking bike on video and in person.

I have a an original scorpion and it's a really comfortable bike. I upgraded the controller beacuse it maxed at 20mph and it does 25 now. I recommend it. its a bargain.

I'm not sure what they will do about ordering an E Bike from Canada or buying one in Canada.

I will drive 30 minutes to Canada with a bike on a bike rack.. Come home with an E bike on the rack

I have 3 ebikes...a Super 73RX, a Lectric and a Road Runner Pro. I think, at the moment.... for the best bang for your buck, buying a Lectric branded ebike is the way to go.

I'm one of the early adopters on Juiced Bikes, I got the Crosscurrent X (2018) and Crosscurrent Air (2017). Sadly the battery for my AIR recently died and since they are going out of business I couldn't get a hold of a replacement. Luckily I got a replacement from Amazon, It wasn't perfect It didn't fit right, I had to do some modification on the battery case/dock. I got it to work but its hold on by velcro. Remember most of juiced bikes and batteries are "proprietary" so good luck in finding a replacement. If your interested in the hyper scrambler 2 (awesome bike my friend has one) I would suggest in getting the Ridstar Q20 Pro instead. Same style but it has dual motors(1000 W each), dual battery (20 ah each) 2 chargers (3A), lights/turn signals, mirrors, horn, bike bag, tools included and about the same price. So your actually getting a better bike in my opinion.

Going through extra nonsense trying to get a loan to pay off the rest of the cost of a Graffiti before the tariffs come. Lyric just told me there is no support line and is acting like they have no way to communicate with customers... WHY? a $3K bike is no cheap thing to just toss money like that at. How do you speak to them so often and easily?

The 25% tarriff exemption that expired this year was put in place in 2018. I think the price of ebikes will go down if anything. Might take a year or so. If you did fine with the past 4 years of massive inflation then you will definitely be fine the next 4.

Tariffs will help replace revenue lost from the millionaires tax cut. People voted for this policy.

If the tariffs were implemented methodically I would be ok with it but just slapping tariffs on things before the American companies are ready is going to put some out of business unnecessarily.

Ebikes are an amazing resource. Sadly, governments can't seem to figure it out
