Well, where else do you want the trashcans? Are you telling me when you put out your trash, you don't leave it on the side of the road by the curb like a normal person? Or would you prefer people in wheelchairs having to go into the road because they can't get past the trashcans on a sidewalk.

I find it essential to wear a headlamp to light up wherever I turn my head to look, since the ebike headlight only shines where I point the ebike. A quick mount zoomable flashlight is also helpful with adjustable wide and narrow beams. My ebike headlights are either too dim or beam is too tall and wide like a flood light.

You have so many fun paved trails to explore up there in Oregon :) I don't know how many hours that 'short' trip would take on a traditional bike, but at my pace I would probably have to plan for the whole day off. Ebikes have spoiled me.

for real if the speed limit is 35MPH or less, just take and keep the actual car lane - watching you guys go .cross and into traffic then immediately try and get back in the "bike lane" (really just the emergency lane/shoulder) is giving me the heebie jeebies. I know most of the path you went very well and there are many places where even if it's 40MPH for a minute, a "slow vehicle" triangle reflector on the back of your pack or bike tells people that you know where you are and you're going to stay in the road and use it just like anyone else (and if you're not in the road it warns people that a slow vehicle may pull into traffic - you don't need it for bike lanes, it's only meaningful in a regular traffic lane). Since Oregon doesn't have sane laws yet, me as a disabled person will continue to get around any way they can in the safest way I feel possible. I ride my Gotrax GX3 scooter, blatantly, in front of and around cops, in traffic (when it's 40MPH or under posted) and avoid the bike lane unless I HAVE to use it. If I can mostly hang with traffic, they can go hang fire if they don't like it, technically I'm legal, especially if I'm behaving responsibly. I expect that once I get familiar with the Acedeck Nyx Z3 that is arriving today I will ride that in traffic too, although I'll be about 6" less tall than I am on the GX3 scooter (I stand about 7' high on it, it's got a LOT of ground clearance and large tires, I'm super visible above most of the cars lol). Man I really love the scooter but it really takes a toll on rides longer than a couple miles because I'm standing statically and not moving my legs as I would on my bike and I'm really beginning to miss having the leg activity of my mid drive bent tad (no throttle installed) keeping me looser for sure than standing on the scooter. And yes, I do have pedal straps and they're actually pretty cool, the ones I use. Your foot locks into them because you enter with a 1/4 twist, so when they're resting on the pedals they're hanging just enough by the ball of your foot to keep you on the pedals without really pushing (for my left leg, which requires a 80-100% pedal assist, depending on how usable it is on any given day) but as you lift your leg to exit the trike your foot naturally twists that 1/4 turn so your feet rarely get hung up, I rolled it and didn't get stuck in them at all (bruised up my legs but that's the style of handlebars I like, so I'm keeping them).

Nice smooth ride, at first I was trying to figure out if this was early evening or morning, sky is getting brighter, so this is an early morning ride. Yeah, that road needs some tender loving care. Do you both have a mic and speaker in the helmets to hear each other ?

Yeah, I'll keep my upgraded Fat Tad, delta trikes tend to plow and tip, tadpole's the way to go.

Its a 15 amp hour batter, not 14 as the video states. 15 AH = 720 watt hours. Range is 18 miles on PAS5 when PAS5=100% power (1140+ watts peak), so not very good range. On PAS3, you can get over 25 miles, no prob. I set PAS1=15%, PAS2=30%, PAS3=45%, PAS4=60%, PAS5=99%

We have the cafe cruiser, peak wattage is 1140 watts. You need to go into the advanced menu and program PAS5=100% to get 1140+ watts peak power. The bike comes shipped set at 80%. Go ahead and unlock the power!!!!

The RIFT was excellent but too heavy @ 85 lbs. It did not sell well so they discontinued it. Ride1up will likely create a Rift v2 with improvements.

I have about 1100 miles on mine in less than 6 months. I love the very large rear rack and opted for the optional front rack. I haven't had any mechanical issues. It shipped out of NW Washington state, so I received it in less than a week.

That's a great deal for a Kepler + Free cargo rack.. I'm guessing 30 Amp controller. Ariel Rider was putting 22 Amp on 750 watt Grizzlies v1 back in the day. Prices have really been dropping this past year, great time to buy.

Thousands of E Bikes were confiscated in the Netherlands. Just recently. Because the bikes were able to be set to do over their 15 mph speeds and the batteries were over their limits of voltage.

Lectric XPedition Limited Edition seems to be a good value with the dual batteries & everything but unless your delivering groceries or using it on a farm or in a commercial business, I just don't see the appeal. Maybe I'm missing something here but definitely not my style. And those Easter colors it comes in: no thanks. I think I would rather pull a small cargo trailer & be able to unhook for the rest of the time. great video 👍

Don't ride through debris. The magic phrase is 'take the lane'. 100% legal and the only thing you can do in that situation. I realize this opens up a whole other can of worms about cars v. bikes and both parties responsibilities to each other. I recommend studying the vehicle code carefully, there is so much misunderstood law that both riders and drivers assume that is just flat wrong. The biggest is that in nearly every single scenario the bike has the right of way over the car. Shocking I know, especially to car drivers. Riders too as we are used to just jumping out of the way in the name of self preservation. Which brings up another point, playing chicken or debating laws and policy with a car driver while on the road isn't going to work. More likely that you will encounter an LEO that is ignorant of the law. Yes, the misunderstanding goes that far. It's more likely that you will be cited incorrectly than you are to get hit by a car, but I am with you on not testing of what the law is and who has to flinch first. It's good to know the law, but it is also better to be alive than it is to be dead and right. Best to save it for the arguing phase on that. The point of all of this is you are within your rights to take the whole lane when hazards and debris are in the bike lane. Educating drivers can be done as you see fit.

I believe the weight capacity also includes the weight and f the bike.
