Good point, although it's also about how you ride with a louder bike rather than just the muffler or lack thereof. A bike with a loud exhaust isn't nearly as intrusive if you keep the revs down, upshift early and ride calmly. I would in fact think that the combination of loud bikes being ridden recklessly (speeding, weaving, passing dangerously, wheelies... you get the point) is the worst when it comes to making people think bad of us motorcyclists.

I love a loud pipe, but you have to also see others prospective, its pretty easy keep the volume down in towns and around others, don't rev the shit out of your bike to look "cool". Anyone that can't see how it's a bad look is just the true epitome of a self centred wanker.

I have the '24 Norden Exp. Only complaint is the seat gets painful after 4hrs in the saddle. Will be adding taller risers in the future as I'm not as interested in looking like a competitor than being more comfortable on long stretches. These bikes sweep through corners & the option to hit the woods when the traffic jams up is always a plus. Your right about all plastic hand guards, $100 US per pair is a bit much. For the most part these bikes are a tad expensive up front & for on going maintenance (mandatory service intervals) Other than that they are a lot of fun. Thnx for your honest user videos.

50k ktm 790 ? That is a lucky guy- normally you have at least 2 if not 3 top end engine rebuilds -cheese camshafts. Basically do not buy those.

Bei mir es so, ich fahre eine BMW F750GS, das ist kein Flacheisen. Meine Schritthöhe beträgt 80cm, also mittlerer Bereich. Ich steige, mit oder ohne Gepäck, mit einem „Spagat“ auf, runter komm ich immer. Meine Sozia hasst das Alu- Topcase, sie steigt, ausschließlich, in Cowboymanier auf‘s Moped. Ich fahre aber, wenn sie hinten drauf sitzt, nur mit der Alukiste, damit sie hinten, beim beschleunigen, nicht nach hinten runter fällt. Also fährt sie nicht mehr mit. So hab ich die letzten 20.000km alleine zurück gelegt, gut aber auch schade.

Iv a 2020 790 r best bike Iv ever ridden. Just changed chain and sprockets 11k miles, slightly premature but also dropped a tooth to 15, much better for me.

Da bin ich ganz bei dir. Mit Sicherheit ein tolles Motorrad, was seine Vorteile in anderen bestimmten Einsatzbereich hat. Leider gibt es kaum noch leichte Reiseenduros mit "großer" Reichweite mehr. Schade das KTM/Husqvarna/GasGas keine 690/701 mehr als Adventure Modelle anbietet wie es KTM noch mit den 620/640er Modellen gemacht hat.

Agree 100%. The BMW GS1250/1300 isn't really a genuine off road bike. Many seldom go on gravel let alone in any mud. They are just status symbols. As you say more suited to a country like Australia. Also the new tank and adjacent panels of the GS1300 looks like an old vacuum cleaner. Terrible. Please do more chats like this. Very good.

Super! Genau so mache ich das auch. Das einzige leidige Thema ist das Rückwärtsrangieren. Da braucht es dann doch beide Beine, aber Kraft kannst du mit den Fussspitzen net wirklich aufbringen um das Moped zu schieben. Absteigen ist auch leidig. Hast du dazu noch einen Tipp?

very cool! bit confused how it works, i understand it works by pressure.. so when you turn it 90 degrees and it drips for about 5 minutes, it should automatically stop after that until you twist it another 90 degrees correct?

On my Super Duke, I got the fork seal replaced under warranty, oil was all over the wheel and brake disk a couple of days after the first service. They had the seal in stock, but wanted me to wait almost three month for a workshop appointment. Not so funny, if you buy a new bike in June and cannot ride it from July to mid of October. Next time, if they don't have a seal for you, measure the inner and outer diameter and try to find a generic seal with the measurements, it should do the job on any bike?

You know KTM have got an issue when even their mechanics are shocked that the bikes go 40000+ km. Every other brand does that regularly 😂

And a couple of questions:- 1.how often do you have to give the top a twist, for example every time you fill up with petrol…or how many miles between each turn of the lid ? 2. How’s your experience been now some time has past owning and using it regularly ? 3. Do you find any build up of grunge on your chain and sprockets ? 4. I’m guessing you still need to clean the chain regularly? 5. Does it fling much oil over the back of the bike ? Thanks in advance

Entscheiden ist, den Oberkörper weit nach vorne, also auf den Tank zu beugen, umso leichter geht das Bein herüber zu schwingen. Geht auch mit Tankrucksack.

Bist du nach wie vor begeistert vom Garmin Montana 700i ? Bin gerade am Überlegen welches Navi ich mir zulegen soll. Moin KaI-Uwe, ich empfehle nach 4 Jahren mit der 2019er 690er folgende Dinge: Auf jeden Fall den Kupplungsnehmerzylinder vorsorglich gegen Zweitmarktprodukt tauschen, zweiter Lufideckel mit Löchern je nach Bedarf dann, wenn viel Gelände dann ein anderes Ritzel, probeweise einmal einen Reifen ab und aufziehen für die Erfahrung (bei der 690er geht das echt gar nicht - große sch....!), passenden Torx dabei haben um den Seitenständer-Hallgeber wieder richtig positionieren zu können (sensible das Teil), wg. Kettenspanner nicht zu verschiedenes Öl fahren, Zündschlüssel kürzen wg. Abbrechen mit Tankrucksack, Lenkeraufnahme-Gummis gegen die Husky Aluhülsen tauschen. Ist ein geiles Moped. Gute Fahrt und Grüße Bo
