I'm not one to ever leave a bad comment, but when you said you preferred the origins soundtrack over the original you just lost all credibility lol. I personally believe that the soundtrack that comes along with a game (as it was created) is part of the game and helps build the game to what it should be. By changing the music, I believe, is playing a whole different game therefore no longer being Sonic 3. And yea, the original soundtracks are mesmerizing to listen to while playing

I think it's relevant to point out that if you turn off Tails in the options, the ring requirement for the Special Stages actually goes down. Edit: I just noticed that someone named OtakuDeju already pointed this out.

I cant find where my save files are stored after installing this and neither can the game. I made it a couple levels in and its just gone, does anywhere know where it is? EDIT: IF YOU LOOK UNDER DOCUMENTS THEN SEGA YOU CAN FIND THE SAVE DATA THERE. JUST IMPORT IT INTO THE GAME WHEN YOU OPEN THE GAME. annoying but works

even if we accept that the platforming was mediocre, this does not change the fact that the game is visually stunning and the soundtrack is unforgettable. everything about the game pops out of the TV. that's why we all loved the game in the 90s.

Hell nah team darks robot carnival took me like more than 20 tries to beat it i also had a skill issue and the mechanics in game made it worse to the point i was so scared to use the homeing attack from fear of falling off towards the end 😅

the fact you can play as Super Sonic from the very first world is a good reason to take more time collecting rings in the first two zones. Then you can fast travel all the other levels in the game.

Yeah, when I was growing up, I actually didn't care for the first Sonic Game all that much; I found it so lacking compared to it's successors - no Super Sonic, no save function, and no _spin-dash?_ Yeah, I would rather just skip to Sonic 2. I tried playing the first game for my channel a few years ago and it was a near-disaster. I found levels like Marble Hill and Scrap-Zone to be the most frustrating, with of course Labyrinth Zone being downright intolerable. The other three zones were where I was having the most fun, but I felt like they ended far too quickly compared to the others, so the fun was over just as it began. But the thing I disliked the most about the game were the Special Stages. It really is one of those beginners-trap kind of things, because unless you knew what you were looking-for, you'd have no idea what the Chaos Emerald was, or how to get it. Plus, it's so nerve-wracking to get the emerald cause you know that at any wrong move that 9 times out of 10 isn't your fault will send you tumbling to the exit without the emerald. But I think the thing I dislike the most is how _vulnerable_ Sonic feels. Without the spin-dash, it feels like not only does it take longer for Sonic to build-momentum, but until he's got up to a certain speed before he can roll into a ball, he's so vulnerable to attacks. I don't get that feeling from Mario Games, even without Power-Ups, Mario still feels capable enough to take on most threats he comes across. With Sonic, even with rings he still feels _delicate._ So yeah, Sonic 1 still isn't my favorite. It just feels incomplete.

Holy cr*p im not alone on this opinion, every single time i said how gross this games DLCs and Collectors Editions were, its america restricted content, the way it sends a message to Sonic Fans that their bullying of pontac and graff was justified and rewards them by giving them what they want, the way it takes away everything i loved about my favourite characters and replaced and retconned by misinterpretations of Characters from the terrible English Dubs of the Adventure Games and of course since these people are THOSE types of people too, they also turned Amy into an Anti Feminist Anti Women having an identity separate from men shallow husk of what she used to be, every time i say how much i dislike what they have done, i get made fun of, have ableist language thrown at me, etc. This, without a doubt not only my least favourite sonic game, but also the most tra*matizing, ill never forget the vitriol and cyber bullying i recieved, how much i got made fun of, how much i got told to eat this obvious corporate slop up, how much i got forced to like it against my will, how much money i wasted out of pressure from these people, how much my parents got angry at me for wasting said money and amplifying the attacks already made on me, this game didnt just make me disappointed, this game mentally scarred me, this game made me never want to look at Sonic again, this game made me question if the Sonic i like even existed in the first place, and if a Sonic game makes me feel oppressed and sad, then it has failed as a Sonic Game, Sonic is against oppression, but this game has made me feel othered and witch hunted just for simply disliking it

Unironically the bottom of the series for me. The worst of the tone, stiff control, infuriating mechanics, chore boss fights, it was a pit of torture to play through.

Sonic 2 is overrated. But I also may feel that way because 3 is so much better.

The worst zones in s3k are better than the best zones in 1 and 2.
