Fun extra mods I highly recommend! -Super Sonic: Once you've beaten the campaign, you can go Super Sonic in any of Sonic's stages by hitting the action button in the air with 50 rings! -Hyper Sonic: This mod lets you go even further beyond!!! In order to do so you'll need 100 rings and all 130 emblems. -Character Biographies: You know that black line below everyone's names? In the japanese version this space is used for the character's name in katakana(I think, it might be one of the other alphabets so don't quote me on that), so this mod makes it so the empty space is used for short character biographies instead!
Not to mention extra characters that matches the gameplay [Shadow and Mighty for Sonic, Rouge (Flight) and Cream for Tails and Rouge (power) and Omega for Knuckles) AND a better controls and gameplay for Big.
SA is one of my favourite games of all time and I had the Steam version lying around after getting it in a bundle. While it was nice to have it and I did come back to it from time to time, I was very much aware of the issues that made it a sub-par version. This randomly came up in my recommended and I almost immediately downloaded and installed the mod tool in a whim. I had never installed a mod so impulsively before. I got so excited opening the game, it's like a sense of magic that had been missing came back to it. The modders put passion into it and it shows, the game just comes to life like never before. Thanks for making this video and spreading the word of such a great resource!
Having bought SADX recently, this was a good video! Simple and straight to the point! Could you do a "ModernSD" video for all Sonic games included in the Sonic Mega Collection Plus and Sonic Gems Collections games? I want to replay those Classic Sonic games, but I prefer playing them with modern settings like widescreen, 60FPS, etc. Definitely keep doing this series!
Are you thinking of making a retrospective and 'ModernSD' for Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes? I know Adventure 2 doesn't have a definitive mod pack that could make the game on Steam look closer to the Dreamcast version. But, on the other hand, Heroes have 'Sonic Heroes: Essentials' or also called 'BetterHeroes'. There is also 'Sonic Heroes: Trinity' but it's in production and appears to be a enhanced version. I just installed this mod and I freaking love this. Omg and it was insanely easy to install. Playing this port out of the box was jarring, with the mod pack it was smooth. This is how mods are done right. Thank you for this!
Thank you, fa il panico! Just had to follow the steps during installation. It used to have 4:3 aspect ratio and very poor textures on my pc, now it's 16:9, 60 fps and amazing graphics
super easy to install and very cool. The best part is that nowadays the mod installer is also compatable with sa2 pretty much removing the need to get an entire new installer. I wish that more modding communitys would have something like this where its easy to mod without the hassle of digging through the files praying to god it works. Edit: one small issue i find with it tho is that its hard to find specific mods you want to have on sometimes bc u cant put things into little folders or tabs

lots of confusion online regarding the firewall/anti virus issue people have. its extremely disheartening that everyone wants to talk about how easy it is, but wont show the parts that sketch other people out

I cant find where my save files are stored after installing this and neither can the game. I made it a couple levels in and its just gone, does anywhere know where it is? EDIT: IF YOU LOOK UNDER DOCUMENTS THEN SEGA YOU CAN FIND THE SAVE DATA THERE. JUST IMPORT IT INTO THE GAME WHEN YOU OPEN THE GAME. annoying but works
Not sure if anyone can help but I had the mod installer working but after it updated recently its all gone horribly wrong. I installed the mod installer with a the steam version and updated this afternoon and the short cut on my desktop is bugged and my antivirus seems to be stopping the load from opening, really stuck here I have tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it and I have tried the same with mod install and have had no luck! Please can anyone offer advice all I did was update the loader when prompted and now nothing work 😢
can someone help me? when i play with the mod manager, EVERYTHING works correctly....except the TITLE SCREEN. it's cropped to the top left corner and idk how to fix it (edit) ok, so i found the problem. i had UI Scaling enabled, but when i turn it off, EVERY OTHER UI is very small. is there any way to just scale rowing the title screen?
wait does it need the steam version or it can work with the 2004 version cuz it gave me an error that says "setup has detected that SADX.2004 EXE has either failed to download or has an incorrect checksum. please check your internet connection and run the installer again. if you are running into this issue consistently, please download an offline version of the installer." i tried the offline installer and still gave me the error dispite of me disabling every install it gave me still gave me the error. do i really need the steam version because if yes then im done i have no money XD keep the good work man.
Maybe because I alr downloaded a modded version of the game with the original modloader and all the mods into it. I'll try downloading a clean vanilla version of the game I just do not know where should I get it from but I'll try.
Alr downloaded a different sonic adventure folder and installed the mod it worked! With reshade this thing is ganna look awesome. But I have one issue I want to know the keyboard controls I cannot jump and in the first fight against chaos 0 I need to jump soo do you know what are the keyboard controls and how can I change it to spacebar?
I dont know what SEGA was thinking here. I guess you could call SADX on GameCube the definitive experience, if for some reason you like the new lighting. The 2004 PC one was objectively worse than GameCube DX, so the 'DX' title shouldn't be given to it. Thats what they learned when the Xbox 360 one came around, as they ported the dreamcast version right-- No, they just got rid of the DX branding and made no improvements. And more glitches apparently (though i can't find any info on what glitches came between 2004 PC -> 360.) Not even widescreen! So what did they do next? ...port it back with the DX branding returned. Why? Idk 🤦♂️🤦♂️ it made minor improvements over the last version, fixing the low-quality voicelines brought in from the old PC release and fixing ONE enemy not spawning in a level. And maybe even more bugs. But that's it... they didnt bother making it similar to the Dreamcast version, nor even add widescreen, in a 2010 port released to preserve the game for everyone?! Might as well call Sonic 3 on Jam for Gamecom 'Sonic 3 DX: Director's Cut' or something

Question: Does the hyper sonic mod come with the super sonic mod or is the hyper sonic mod its own seperate thing?

The gamecube version is more stable than the 2004 SEGA PC Version which was desbuted by Activision in the USA

It is supposed to work with that version. I'm not sure why it's throwing you an error but I hope you can get it figured out!
