Re "manspreading" I don't understand why there was always an assumption that this is a matter of manners and mild misogyny, when it in fact has to do with male physiology and societal norms that discourage women from sitting with their open legs. Here's a breakdown of the first piece. 1. Men have testicles, and so it's uncomfortable to sit with our legs completely closed for obvious reasons. 2. Our hip sockets (acetabula) tend to be positioned more toward the front and angled outward less than in women, limiting inward rotation, and making it less comfortable for us to keep our knees together while seated. 3. Men typically have tighter hip adductors and hamstrings due to differences in muscle distribution and physical activity patterns. Spreading the legs releases tension in these muscles, adding comfort. 3. Men generally have a narrower pelvis with a more vertical orientation. This creates a more downward angle of the femur (thigh bone) from the hip, making a slightly open leg position feel more natural and comfortable. 4. When sitting, gravity encourages the femurs to fall outward, especially if the hips are more upright and less tilted, which is characteristic of the male pelvic structure. 5. Men generally have broader shoulders compared to their hips, creating a top-heaviness. A wider leg stance can help stabilize this broader upper-body mass when seated. So there are pretty wholesome reasons why men spread their legs a bit when sitting. And next time you see a guy on the subway who is really manspreading, it probably has less to do with patriarchy and more to do with pelvis. Or he just might have giant balls.

The inherent danger of overextending the word "violence" is that in the end two different concepts are essentially equated. Which means that it is allowed to use violence in situations where they are not applicable. E.g. if "words" are violence, then violence is an allowed response to words.

Most reasonable men get this -- that the perpetrator of this tragedy symbolizes the prevalent "misogyny" of all men -- on some level, so roll their eyes in response to the extreme activists brow-beating all men, and they disengage. The latter is the sad part, because there IS too much violence against women (and some, vice-versa), but these are a small minority of men, not all men. Stop with the simplistic generalizations.

Isolation is one of the major causes of emergence of othering and social conflict. I think in our times it might be outright dangerous to encourage uni-sex education, as this might worsen social tensions between genders. However, I do not have a crystal ball, I cannot say that the bad consequances will definately come to pass or that they will outweigh the benfits. However, I am remain quite skeptical of uni-sex education

I'm a Postmodernist and let me deconstruct this for you in plain everyday English. The "smartest " man of the 2oth Century said, "If you can't explain it to a 6-year-old, you don't understand it enough." - Albert Einstein I have studied philosophy from Socrates to Derrida and Foucault. Deconstructed, Avita Rondel is completely unconscious that she is just saying, "My words have no meaning". I have applied Einstein's Maxim to all of my study of Philosophy and there is indeed a very special magic in a Postmodern world view. However, these post-Structuralists and infantile mass media academic postmodernists can't explain anything simply. And they are indeed "The Emperor has no clothes on" frauds! I realize that I'm a lone voice in defense of Postmodernism (Capital "P"). I don't mind being a huge fan of Janet Fiamingo and a Postmodernist. But waiting two months waiting for a new video micro-hurts. Please don't apply modernist assumptions about my politics on me. I have my own way of looking at the world as everyone does. And it's impossible to force everyone to think just like yourself or myself. It's a wasted emotional, labor and resource intensive Modernist goal that never ever works. The universal "Us vs. Them" ideological dynamic is a distinguishing characteristic of Modernism. Yes, dating back to Paul. In fact, Modern was the Ancient Latin word, "Moderni". Infantile postmodernists go on and on about eliminating "binary thinking" about gender, but they never apply it to politics nor ideology. Perhaps, someone else may think differently than me? The Modernist is caught in their own solipsistic thoughts. They can't imagine why anyone would think differently than themselves. To the Modernist, everyone who thinks differently is an "idiot". Oh God, we're surrounded by Modernists.

Brownmiller’s research relies heavily on secondary sources, pulling from academic research, crime statistics, government reports, and other documented evidence available at the time of her writing in the 1970s. The New York Public Library notably included Against Our Will in its list of the “100 Books of the Century” in 1995, a testament to its lasting influence on society and culture. It’s important to give voice to these issues so that women can learn to better navigate the world around them. Writing a book about rape is not as bad as the rape itself. Ignorance breeds only darkness. John 3:19-20 states: “And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.”

Thank you for making this video, Janice. I’m relieved to see that people are leaving mostly supportive comments. Bashing people in the media has literally become today’s form of entertainment in America, stripping people of their love, dignity, respect, reputation, and their name altogether for making just one very wrong move. If this had happened in Europe for instance, Brock would never have been shown on camera, and only the FACTS of the case would ever be considered by anyone (the same could be said for Alexee Trevizo and her case). I’m very much a supporter of feminism, MeToo, etc, but I’m also seeing a lot of toxic feminism among lots of people. Men are people with feelings too and do not deserve their lives destroyed when they make a non-fatal mistake! 🙏🏻

There were perhaps some letters to the editor that went back and forth, with some praising her. Refuting the b.s. that only the marginalized can have a valid viewpoint is the fact that often being distanced is deemed necessary to see clearly. That is why people ask friends or family for advice on their spousal relationship. That is why couples seek an outside professional therapist to work out couples issues. Distance is deemed desirable in order to be objective. To say "only I have a valid viewpoint regarding how people (men) have interacted with me" is narcissistic delusion. It's even a form of bullying because it means the counterparty can never explain his behavior if the explanation contradicts the accusation.

If I'd allowed the sexual abuse I experienced at the age of seven - by a female 'babysitter' - colour my perceptions of women, I'd never have enjoyed thirty-one years of happy marriage (not, I hasten to add, to the 'babysitter'!). Yes, memories of the 'babysitter' experience, which went on for over three months, linger, yes, I underwent two years of therapy years afterwards, but these misandrists' 'traumas' drive me crazy. College campuses are employing some totally inappropriate people. If she's that 'traumatised' (my word is 'twisted'), she should not be dealing with young people at all. She sounds to me like somebody who has ingested far too much of the poisonous ideology of feminism, and is dangerously partisan towards her own sex, which she also harms by instilling her nonsense.

The defense had an option to appeal and chose not to. Defendant's appellate briefs also raised claims of evidentiary error, instructional error, prosecutorial misconduct, and cumulative error. However, after briefing in the case was complete, he withdrew those claims of error because, "if successful, [they] would provide the District Attorney an opportunity for a re-trial of the case in whole or in part, or for a re-sentencing on one or more counts."

I read the court case as well as the entire rationale for Judge Pensky’s decision. This was the case where other students caught the individual in the act and did not allow him to flee. Turner was convicted of assault with the intent to grape. S3xual penetration of an intoxicated and unconscious person with a foreign object. Fleeing would indicate he understood he knew what he was in the midst of doing was not right. I’m confused about the objection here that he should not have served the full 6 months… plus he was made to register as a s3x offender permanently and 3 year probation. He served 3 months for good behavior. A jury had a chance to review the and found him guilty. You and others may not like the way the jury ruled.. and that’s fine. Is your logic the jury was incapable of thinking critically and interpreting the evidence and arguments presented because feminists exist? The woman in this case has a right to feel the way she feels… as would anyone who was the victim of a crime. Or is the logic here b/c she drank, she put him in a position to have no choice but to p3netrate her with a foreign object while unconscious? I’ve been around drunk guys (in college and beyond) and they were still able to decipher what they probably shouldn’t do.
