    1. Computer or phone mount is genius. 2. The rear cam is only if you want to have the Video but for simply safety one can get a Radar… 3. The lashes for the block and the rear wheel seem practical, but I managed without them until now. 4. The smaller bags are not necessarily for me: for commuting and longer rides I do get a backpack on me or on the block and can put everything there! For some shorter rides such a bag could come handy! I don’t change tubes on the roadside: its uncomfortable, inaccurate, unclean, one may lose parts, one has to carry tools and replacements for, at least, several hundreds of kilometres until needed and even then its faster to get to the nearest train or bus station! 5. Front light on the steer is not so practical: moves and shakes too much, has to be adjusted often.. I lived fine with it, but I guess its a bit of overaccessorizing to have 2 strapped small bags alongside one on the block, plus 2 lights on rubber bindings with two additional lashes... and then try to fold and get fast in the filled commuter train by emptying the water bag first then getting the camera out in order to be able to sink the seatpost completely, get the phone out of the steer...

As a Dane I don't feel any obligations against Britain and British Products and though my 2019 Superlight bike is now added to with a lot of Eastern Components, it still looks mostly like a Standard version! But it weighs below 9 kilo, even with mudguards. And Brompton has had its time to earn a profit before the end. Finn. Denmark

I own MTB (BMC Te01), RB (Madone SLR), 1 Brompton and 1 birdy. Birdy no way to be close to MTB nor RB game. I took birdy simply because of its futuristic design. I vote Brompton if have to choose Between Brompton and Birdy for leisure commuting and folding size.. Cheers..... other than that, i can have speeding ride with RB, hardcore ride with MTB.

It wont be the big players that change everything, it will be small innovators, 3d printing will change alot The main design bis the frame, and not proprietary parts, everyday, with many rear hub options Fraction of the price of a T line

This is one of those things where you buy both because in real life you don’t have the limits. It really is about what your priorities are. The birdy is close to a real bike. It even is the more versatile as you can use gravel tires or even mtb tires for semi off road while the brompton is a city bike. The birdy personality can just change with a set of tires. The biggest problem is the fold. So it’s basically if you need to fold daily or in an emergency. If you fold every time then the birdy will where you out. In terms of Singapore cycling I would say the birdy wins. You can enjoy both Seletar airport with road tires or GC with billy bonkers. In that sense you can change your flavor if you get bored of one scene or the other. And if you’re on the road you have a better chance with the birdy against road cyclist. Also the aluminum frame will combat the high humidity and rust. Brompton is famous for rusting and even a guy with a month old brompton will be rejected for warranty claim for rust on his chpt3. But the brompton fold is so good. If you are thinking city rides and also traveling with the bike because Singapore is so boring and the cycling network is shit, then brompton is the way to go. It’s just so efficient and compact. It’s the best design as a folding bike. So do you need a folding bike or do you need a bike is the question. A person who is considering both birdy and brompton because it’s a folding bike will be happier with the brompton.

Bromptons are bloody expensive but that's because they're good quality and handmade in the UK. They're not great value for money upfront but they'll last longer than most bikes at the same price point. As an added bonus, if you decide you don't want it any more then the resale value is way higher than most bikes because people *know* they're good.

Anyone saying aluminum won't last doesnt know what they are talking about. I have a 25 year old kick scooter made out of aluminum and it works as good as the day I bought it and I still use it. I only found out yesterday my BT Tilt 500 has an aluminum frame. That surprised me as I thought aluminum frames were supposed to be rare but nope. It's lasted plenty fine but it probably explains why it is tiring to ride all day. Read anyone who has ridden both materials on the same day. Aluminum sends the vibrations to you. Steel absorbs them
