Hong Kong is no.1 Cyclist hell in the world, 99% driver hate cyclist on road, and you must assuming that all driver can’t seeing you! however I still love cycling in this hell everyday, it fun and exciting😂
Thanks for tapping into the video. Riding is always fun, I am glad I get to try different riding conditions occasionally. You have a great day ahead mate.
Thanks for spending time on the video. It's a 3cm riser titanium bar that I am having there. The bike was initially a flat bar setup. There are a few concerns about swapping out to the mini-P bar. You must consider the bar will touch the ground when the bike is folded, as the newer M and S stems are very long for it. It might be worth your while if you have an older M stem or the original P stem.
@@Petrellionwheels I know all about the original P -handle bar had a shorter stem and if one was to put it on newer versions it would hit the floor while folding , that why I said the MINI P-HANDLE BARS , which will not hit the floor = mini version.
@@Petrellionwheels I’ve seen many on different UA-cam channels, for me they look cool and practical at the same time , not many things in life have practicality and cool in one sentence, would be nice to get some for my Brompton which is my other point why are the after market items so expensive ? Deerstalker and pipe needed for the investigation one thinks.
Would like to see what other people have done to their bromptons and why , also why are the aftermarket products so expensive and my favourite word why.
Thanks for the question. I am not a big fan of putting any mirror on the cycling glasses or next to the handler bar. I am a strong believer of having an eye contact with that drivers. If you have seen me ride, even on some quiet roads, I would still be turning my head to the rear to ensure I know what exactly what’s happening behind me.
Cool video! I enjoyed watching the ride! I didn’t enjoy the very loud bell ding for the car counter. I ended up muting the video when you weren’t talking. You are brave to ride in traffic like that!
@@Petrellionwheels I always enjoy your videos! In fact your videos are part of the reason I chose a Brompton as my first bike after not owning a bike for many years.
It is good video to watch! I realized bicycle ride in HK road is really danger. Most of driver doesn't care bicycles and they speed a lot. This including taxi, mini bus and double deckers. When I see this, I feel riding in Tokyo is much safer than in HK. :-)
Thanks for spending time at the video. The only time that I got to ride in Japan was in the city of Kyoto. Everything just works there. The people, the vehicles and the bicycle mixed together very well there. Happy times.
Good question, it’s legally not allow to ride on the sideway in Hong Kong. It’s really a bike unfriendly place in here. I am glad i don’t have to be in HK as often as I used to do.
I almost had to ride that route everyday when I was having my stay there. I guess I am used to it by now. I am glad I am still alive to write you with this reply.
I always wanted to make some riding videos. How do you guys find it? Any suggestion on the way to improve?

One of my most memorable rides were in Hong Kong and especially so when we rode back to our hotel from Victoria Harbour at night!
Those were the good times man..... Maybe I should do one more of those rides for you.
Night riding on Nathan road, in the middle of crazy traffic, with the light from the signage aboveeee
Real madlad
It’s a everyday life in Hong Kong if commuting by bike is part of your day.
Not seen those handle bars before ? What’s your thoughts on the mini P- handle bars ?

To my understanding, there is about 3cm of room with the mini-P when compared to the original one. I never tried it on the actual bike though.

Noted..... seriously, the "why" is always very important, and very few people go into it. I am going to take care of this. Cheers.
Did you have a mirror you attach to your glasses for this ride?

I am glad you are on the bike again. I ride plenty of other bikes as well. I get plenty of job every time I am on the bike. Have a great day ahead.
It is dangerous. Would a mirror help for changing lane?
I don't use the mirror, but I often have my head turn to check on the traffic every few seconds. That's working out for me so far.

Is it worth risking your life riding in this kind of traffic on the road? Why not riding on the sidewalk?

hong kong cant ride on traffic
There are better places to ride in HK, it just where I work at the time wasn’t at those places.
This is the way they drive in HK, never let anyone gets ahead! And it’s always been dangerous on this route even if you’re driving.
