The Nicest Watch in History...170 Years! - Tissot's PRX Chronograph
This Tissot watch features a stunning blue dial and chronograph functions, making it both stylish and functional. Its automatic movement and sapphire crystal make it reliable and durable. Check out the video to see it in action and click the Amazon link to make it yours! amzn.to/3YI12lJ
My wife got this for me for Father's Day and I'm in love with it. And her. I love both of them. But not equally, I love my wife, much much more. Here are five things you didn’t know about the new Tissot PRX Chronograph. These are my opinions, and let me caveat this with the fact that I'm still in the honeymoon phase. Hope you enjoy the video.
This watch has sparked and waved flames on two debate that have captured the hearts and minds of enthusiasts since this years watches and wonders. Do I care if a watch I very much love, is very much thick? The Tudor black bay pro was the spark and this is the gasoline. The second debate is on the best automatic chronograph, under $2,000. Maybe even under $2500 or more. Go look for the most affordable automatic chronograph you can find. Is it thinner than this? Okay, is it an accurate movement? Okay, is it as good looking as this? If you answered yes to all of these questions, you are probably looking at a quartz watch which isn’t automatic, a vintage piece on eBay or a watch that wasn’t made in Switzerland, Germany, Japan or France. Join these debates, how thick is your thickest watch, does that keep you from loving it? Leave a comment with your favorite automatic chronograph and tell me the price and the thickness. What’s the best automatic chronograph under $3k. This has my vote. Let’s take a look at the dial.
This blue is from Star Trek. The vertical brushing creates a holographic dial like nothing I have ever seen before. Every time you look at it, It transforms- in different lighting, at different angles, and of course at different times of day. The only thing that doesn’t change is this stellar contrast and legibility against this brilliantly silver framed off white subdials. Sometimes it’s a navy blue that May look black and make for a very handsome reverse panda. Or it’s a royal blue, like a dim cerulean in sunlight. It’s beyond vibrant, it feels technologically advanced and interesting. With a linen dial you can become familiar with the pattern of the designer dial. Not here- this brushing will bring a lifetime of visual interest at every glance.
The pushers are flexible yet confidence inspiring. By flexible if you can see here, they can move slightly which brings me joy because it means when you push these while at different angles, the mechanism is forgiving. What do I mean by that. With some pushers, if you do it at an angle, it can bend or damage the pusher and make it loose. With these, they really operate like futuristic buttons on a spaceship (and look like it too!) let’s talk confidence: When you push this pusher it clicks with confidence like that click when you lock your front door, it’s a purposeful sound that elicits intentionality and only comes with high quality movements and construction. You can’t operate this chronograph by accident and I’m in love with that.

It’s not all sundials and rainbows, right? There are two features of this watch that you will either love or hate. This helium escape valve will not save you or your watch’s life because this is not a helium escapement. You gotta push this button to change the date. If you’re a klutz you might scratch your own watch case or if you’re the kind of person a la Jack Forster of Hodinkee, who enjoys a spectrum of multivariate engagements with your watch you’ll fall in love this intimate feature you only get with beautiful mechanical timepieces.
The packaging is 100% recyclable. Good job Tissot. Complaining about this packaging is just complaining about environmental sustainability for the earth which is awkward. I get it, this is luxury, you want to have the best of the best. Yet at less than $1800, this watch, with its finishing, it’s legibility, it’s traditional yet futuristic case with best in class movement, in my opinion, not it’s packaging,
My person opinion: This is the most stylish and perhaps best looking watch Tissot has ever released. It’s a science fiction watch with innovation to empower its vintage pizazz. The PRX quartz doesn’t hit all the markers and is missing a framed date window that the pm80 has. The pm80 has the beloved waffle dial yet is a bit tame. This has provenance both in the movement and In these intricate subdials. They opened photoshop, selected this bezel and case and dragged it to enlarge it so the proportions are still decadent and just right yet with even more shine and bling from the polished edges and more sophistication imho.
May be the best you can do under $2000. Leave a comment and let me know how you feel about this watch.

Bronze vs. Fake Gold Watches

Bronze watches vs. Fake Gold Tudor’s Black Bay 58 raises some interesting questions about what we want versus, well, what we want. Huh? We want to know if the watch is made well. A well made watch is more than just being a chunk of gold or platinum. We look for areas on the watch dial or cases where imperfections during the manufacturing process are noticeable. We pay extra attention to hand an...

Great review and also an unusual look in the light you've filmed in. Is the dial silver? I've been looking at the steel/gold version but this one in the video looks ace.
The 0452 was my first ZT, and my first good pocket knife. Its the one that really got me interested in knives. Great video
Vanilla scented???
Awesome
Awesome
Very cool I like the scales
I just sold my SSK019(skx like) and considering this since I never like the dial ring and cyclops. Good video and review!
I guess you meant BALANCE SPRING and not SPRING BAR, with anti-magnetic properties and all?? props for correct brand name pronunciation btw. 👏🏻👏🏻
That's amazing. I just wish I could buy one without spending $1,500 on a surefire flashlight combo deal
Nice👍which version cape is this?have website maybe?🙏
Very cool 👍
The PRX Chronograph is the beautiest Chronograph they ever build. I got 3 of them. Silver dial, blue dial and the Bucherer Special limited Edition with special blue dial and golden Hands, Bezel and Crown. I love my 3 PRX Chronographs. ❤
Got one on the way 👍🏻👊🏻
Actually with the money paid for unimatic, you have quite of other choices. NH35 is just staple. Nothing special but a workhorse.

The ball-bearing hole can easily get dirt into it. I doubt too many people will wear a pair of gloves to handle their pocket knife!

I love my BALTIC BLUE AQUASCAPHE Bronze
Excellent review very informative and professional, thank you 🏴👏👏
Sapphire has the ugliest reflections
Great soliloquy about the Baltic. With this amd the Sinn 104 '5 things' vid, you've earned my subscription. I'm low-key stalking the blue dual-crown, super compressor style Aquascaphe. Have you had any hands-on with one?
1🤯🤯% I've been wearing a sunburst grey 104i St Sa for 1 yr. now and TBH never noticed the bigger even numbers on the bezel. Now that it's been pointed out, I cannot un-see it. The first four mins of this video have me questioning my whole existence 🤷🏼 I got my 556i RS literally TODAY, and now am already thirsting for that white 104 🤤💸
I am afraid I don’t agree of those comments as an owner of this watch 3 times. Miyota is unstable caliber Clasp might be opened while you wear. Minute hand manager moves forward 2-3 days later Crown might be screwed hardly. So there are so many QC problems
Fantastic review. I gotta get me one of these!
My favorite feature is the day in both English and German. And mine has a red second hand on the white face. It looks amazing.
I’m thinking of this one vs spyderco delica damascus….Nice review!!!Nice Sinn watch too!!!
I wear my aquascaphe on a NATO strap and its hard for me to wear any other watch. But i also prefer the vintage/preowned watches.
Where did you buy the strap from?
Hodinkee!
Fantastic content! You are a natural! I like the 0452 CF. Mine is in the Magna cut. Look forward to more reviews!
blah blah blah..........*zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
i bot a 2nd hand Tissot Prc200 auto. its very thick.
Where is your Sinn?!?! Beautiful collection man...im here because i just ordered the Baltic Aquascaphe and im so excited. Last year i got the Longines Spirit (talk about presentation) and its amazing...do you like Longines? I think its such great value for money. And Lorier is awesome...maybe next year i will have to check out Lorier. Every year i buy a watch...so far its been Hamilton Railroad American Classic, Longines Spirit and this year the Baltic...i really wanted a Formex Reef GMT but my budget this year wasnt as good. Longines Legend Diver in Bronze is also on my list. Sorry for ranting..great video!!!!
Thanks for watching. Your collection sounds amazing congrats
Thank you for pronouncing it "Zinn", not "Sin". Most don't.
Hi! Sorry to bother you. I just bought mine and I noticed that the rotor makes a subtle zippery bearing sound when it spins, is it normal?
I'm a stone mason, looking for a reasonably sized heavy duty field watch.. I was leaning towards the Tudor Ranger, but not crazy about wearing a $4000 watch during hard manual labor.. you've convinced me to check out this Beauty & The Beast of a watch. Much appreciated 🙏🏾
