Just like the car community, there are always people ready to talk down on someone else’s stuff. Once I started to ignore the naysayers and appreciate all cars for what they are, I found myself falling deeper into the hobby and loving it. I think the same goes for watches.
I think you’re on to something here. There’s a lot of fun to be had, a lot of rabbit holes to go down, that we’d never discover if we all aimed to be exactly the same as each other all of the time.
Great vid Knifewatch, I agree with all your points and enjoy your viewpoint. It's a great attitude to have 👍🏻. Complexion is a funny one, I'm very very pale, and gold just doesn't work as well as other materials on me. But as you mentioned as long as you enjoy it and have some fun, who cares. Keep producing the great content mate 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much for watching, Rosco. It always brings me joy to see you stop by the channel. As long as we are self-aware of what works for us, I’d argue we would all be happy to see others explore their own interests - more than just comparing to ourselves. Can’t thank you enough for stopping by the channel and showing some love, my friend.
Hello. I’m pale too but find gold watches irresistible. Not complete gold like the SKX shown here. But watches with gold indexes, gilt hands, bezel etc.
I just ordered the black/gilt version of the Lorier Neptune. That's about as "flashy" as it gets for me. Haha. I dig the gold look on you though! Also, the Baltic sector dial is gorgeous!
I’m a sucker for gold dress watches. They’re like cat nip to me. Especially vintage. I say wear what you like. That DressKX two tone on that black strap is pure class 👌

Oh man, nothing beats the heft and feel of a gold watch. Overpriced and gaudy...absolutely...and I dig it. Not everyday, but it feels good sometimes.
Definitely has a time place. My daily wear is mostly muted yet I wouldn’t get rid of all my gold, faux or not, for anything.

Thank you, my friend! I believe You’re going to love the black gilt Neptune. Thank you so much for watching, my friend.
@@KnifeWatch Love the conversation! And yes, your video along with several others pushed me over the edge with the Neptune. Can't wait for it!

New sub here. Love your commentaries and perspective. Keep it up! Great work.
Gold watches indeed look more elegant and classy in my opinion. I prefer them because I will have more pleasure from them.
Pleasure is what matters for a personal collection hobby! I would like to thank you for stopping by the channel and sharing your thoughts. I agree.
That knife is beautiful IMO. Both of them.
Thank you so much. I trust your taste over most everyone.
Hi man, can you please tell me if your Lorier watch is still accurate and if you still don't have any problems with ? Thank you
Still going strong!
Always a pleasure. You clearly understand how to have fun!
All inspired from my kids. I’d be a swamp ogre without them.
