V8s have bumpier ride than diesel G-wagens. I never had a bumpy ride in my 350G. Fuel economy on mine is around 23mpg on average = it is important because I do drive it across Europe and I stop every 500km to refuel. Mine is 2011 and has no squeaks. Switches are absolute shit, however buttons on dashboard are fine (may be mine is slightly newer gear than his). Most annoying thing is how it collects bugs and dirt, due to its shape it picks up so much crap on the trip I have to wash it way too often and that is annyong. Washing this thing is a chore. The upside, every time I look at it it makes me smile. P.S. In Switzerland people dont pay any attention to my truck but other G-wagen drivers salute each other when passing in their trucks. And we have way better roads than in this video.

I was a monitor on a G Shock forum in the early days of social media And in my opinion,no watch is worthy of the way overdone worship you shower on this watch. It's just a watch and no one else really cares!

i have the same car (diesel version - gen 2). I have exactly the same opinion on this car. I just love it. Even more than the 100 i had before. The only downside is that maintenance is expensive.

I swore I wouldn't buy a Rolex because of this (instead, I went for Omega, which I love). But I changed my mind two weeks ago when I put this exact reference 114270 (from 2006 for mine) on my wrist. I felt like I'd always had this watch and that it was made for me. It's been on my wrist ever since. And that's exactly what you're describing: nobody knows it's a Rolex. I'm not even afraid to wear it on the subway because nobody notices it. And that's precisely what's great, it's a relationship between you and the watch alone. I love mine. I daily drive my 2017 g63 to work everyday (100 miles a week) and I drive about 500 miles a month (back and forth) to my cabin upstate. Oil change twice a year for the last 6 years. Never a single issue…this thing is bulletproof and not a single rattle. Also love that I rarely see any on the road.

"People want a G class look rich" personally I just want it (and by it I mean an Old Gen G-wagon) is because I like big engines, big cars, it can carry stuff run fast is intimidating, drives like a boat and has the Mercedes Badge (proves that it lasts😂)

I have a lot of cars including 3 SUVs - Supercharged 2009 Range Rover, 2013 G550, and 13 TLC.... on paper TLC is the best one of them all, but after owning it for 2 years I can also say it's the most boring of the 3 and the one I drive the least. It simply has no character. Breaks are aweful, laser guided cruise control always forces the car to downshift whenever I go up the hill or pass someone. Seating position is ok, but the materials are very questionable. IDK, I still have mine, but don't think I will keep it for too long...

I am on my 5th G - can't seam to get away from them... I also own a 200 series TLC and a supercharged L322 Range Rover - while the Range Rover is the most comfortable car I've ever owned, but if I had to pick one I would rather keep my 13 G550.... so much charachter it's hard to have no feelings about it.

I bought the basic square model in 2010 and the battery just went out last week, That’s 14 years and the basic model isn’t even solar powered. Got a new battery installed today for $20. I also have a Rolex explorer that has to be serviced every 4 years at $900 each servicing which comes out to $2700 in the last 14 years. $20 vs $2700.

As a owner of 2013 LX570, wich is more luxurious this, i have to say only one thing. This is not a gay SUV. This is proper offroad.
