Never lost a base, ever. moats are goated. they provide the best defense for the lowest cost, both resources and time. combined with raised walls, you have a safe haven in less than 20 minutes that can be extended as you wish... just remember that docks will be attacked if they arent gapped from the moat/wall. and that boats arent safe from green skins. i will use the trick for stopping flying attacks, thanks!

While I was watching the video, I was being attacked by two one star boars and three non-starboards. I really wish I knew that you were supposed to save the one stars because I may have killed those and then spent 45 minutes looking for one Star war which was a real struggle. I have to wonder though, who is the mysterious Wanderer? In the entire game there is no lore pages or anything about the Wanderer. Surely the Wanderer knew the power and destruction the Elixir would have. I assume that the Wanderer did this on purpose knowing it would be the downfall of humanity. My guess is that the Wonderer is actually a rogue Ancient that wished to control the world and seize power for itself. I’m going o go on a hunch here and say that the Wanderer is still alive, somewhere in the Embervale. It might be the true final boss when the game leaves early access.

Using the pickaxe is so satisfying in this game. I kinda wish there was a larger mining aspect to it. But its kinda pointless to dig holes and craft caves. Like this coulda been the best miner game ever lol

my best way to deal with raids is to have a world in which i build things but do no bosses, and a world in which i fight the bosses but dont build anything beyond what is needed(a bed)

Been doing this since release! I haven't played in a while and will get back to it again.

This worked like a charm. I chose a copper mine that was taking me forever to clear out. There were two nodes near each other but embedded in rock. This guide was very helpful and I cleared both nodes much more quickly, plus now I know what to look for my next mine. Thank you so much.

To sum it up. You can't move your flame altar. But you can place mutlipe ones to "move" the buildable area.

my base is in the meadows on a natural cliff, the other three sides are secured with a moat (and palisade on the inside so i dont see it). my first line of defence tho is a sizable lox herd. these are a pain to transport by boat, but so far it was worth the sweat and tears to bring them home.

I think that you missed not the main, but very not the least theme of terraforming - Swamps. I use terrafroming to fill the gaps between small pieces of land so that I could run without a certain danger of being fall into the pit filled with water and leeches. It is also necessary if you want to use cart to transport iron between flooded chambers and base where you parked your ship. It's also important to prepare terrain for battle with bosses: I falled few times in the pit with water when I was fighting with Swamp Boss, and died 1 time when I was fighting with dragon in the mountains, cuz I had to spend stamina to run more slowly climbing the rought terrain, and had not enough of that to evade further attack. Terraforming also helps to build harbors, cuz sometimes, big difference between water and surface, will prevent you from building bridges to the place where you park your boat.
