A handy tip when planning a build is to think about wall thickness. If you want a different material on the inside from what is on the outside you must plan for a double thick wall. I have also used walls 3 blocks thick to make 2x2 holes on the inside for inserting chests into the wall.
Great vid as always man. I found that a good way to design your floor plan without carving into the landscape is to use the floor pieces. They will slightly flatten the grass, but you can place them down and pick them up to figure out where you want to put your foundations, without having to fill back in unwanted holes later. 🙂
Nice one, great explanations. I still haven't started building, apart from a basic starting house. Partially because you don't have to build defense, but mostly because the game loop of exploration and new quests just keeps me going. Always wanting to see what the next unlockable material will be and if I can find a more interesting place to start a big build =)
Awesome video for starting builders. 👍 I hope more will follow. There's so many possibilities with the different materials and forms. 😮 Loving the game and your gameplays!
Really concise and helpful introduction to building. Built my first very rough 4 walls, windows and a roof that didn't fit properly 😅 - now I will go back and make it right.
This must be on of those videos that you were procrastinating on. When are you going to build a house out of all luminous blocks? When they add in the R&G versions?
WHAT IS THIS??? Beeble I just found this randomly out on UA-cam and didn’t know you had a second channel. Why is this not on the main?? Love the video 😄
how the heck did you make the curves around 6 mins 15 in. i accidentally did them which is what i was hoping for but ive since been unable to recreate them even copying the exact way you did them.

This is THE building tutorial! All the bases covered in a really tidy package! Thanks and well done!
P.S. Oh nice! I just saw you got the nod on Twitter from the dev team!
😊 Thanks, and yeah, it was great to see the retweet!

Nice job with that video! One thing that may be useful is that you can stack scaffolds to reach higher places. Just recently discovered it....
Nice, thanks for the guide! 😉👍🏻
Great overview.
