I'm happy someone is still making content for Valheim. I just started playing on console and most content is 1-2 years old and outdated. Love your videos! I already built your breeder design for my boars and wolves!
The game is still in development. Im sure there will be a lot more content once it reaches 1.0 and Release. I picked the game up years ago but I still havent installed it yet.
@@CrimsonRaieth I’m not trying to sound rude, but that’s a bit ridiculous. The game has been for over a year now, very much a complete game and filled to the brim with content. However I understand why the devs still consider their game “in development”, high standards and constant changes of great magnitude. You should definitely go an enjoy the game, it’s more than worth the time to play. Of course there’s going to be even more content with the “full release”, but why wait when it is definitely playable and very enjoyable now?
You don’t have to be within distance for them to tame! Thank goodness for this since you’ll need to do other things and not wait 3-4 ingame days for the taming to be finished!
Whilst taming you don't have to remain stationary. whilst you could just go AFK, I prefer to use the time developing a (non-combat) skill such as Sneak, Jumping or Running. I tend to just move 10m away and Sneak back and forth. It's boring but I've earned a LOT of Sneak points this way.
When I was first playing this game I got my first wolf by accident. I was mining in a Black Forest that bordered a mountain, and wolves kept hearing me and coming and attacking me. So I dug a hole and managed to trap and tame one. I was still pretty early in the game and hadn’t explored the mountain biome at all yet, so it was really cool to have a wolf that early
I'm pretty sure they made it too where you can tame a TROLL! I saw a video about it. All you have too do is enclose it in a stone tower and feed it one of your friends! :D
Great! 2* information right there folks! Many thanks it helped me immensely. I had my boars wiped out during an enemy raid, I was very angry. So I must move them underground I guess.
Yeah, Raids can be painful, especially when you have 2star animals. There are a few protections like walls and moats, but the Bats and Drakes are a little more tedious. So Closing off your breeder is the best solution for that.
While I was watching the video, I was being attacked by two one star boars and three non-starboards. I really wish I knew that you were supposed to save the one stars because I may have killed those and then spent 45 minutes looking for one Star war which was a real struggle. This video is amazing thank you
Great video and the only mistake I noticed was about Yagluth being the 4th boss when it's the 5th! /s Otherwise everything was great information, thanks for the vid !!
And then all of that power is on your side once you build a high farm and breed like 30 of them to one shot Yagluth and decimate fuling villages ;) Probably less useful in Mistlands, since they'll quickly get lost on the mountainous terrain. Glalls and dvergr mages will probably massacre them as well with AoE. But at least they'll let you dominate the plains biome.
If you build on a levaithan and it sinks, does your house transplant onto the ocean floor or does it break? This answers weather ir not the leviathans just despawn or transition down. Stoner thoughts.
Hali! Nincs esetleg lehetőség a befogott állatok fejlesztésére? 🤫(Ilyen külön harci arénára gondoltam😬, "mint például a kutyáknál🤐". Persze ez illegális mégis csinálják...🤨). Köszi az infókat!😍
I'd love to see the basics of making those animal drop farms, like what the minimum build needs to be for the piggies and eggs to drop down, but not the big boars and chickens. I'm trying to come up with a simple but nice design that isn't too gaudy from the outside.
Hi, Thank you for amazing guide, I'm just preparing myself for first tame and this is really helpful! I would like to ask you how I can relocate the boards after tamed? Do they follow you the same way as wolves? Thanks a lot in advance :)
No, boars don't follow you. So you should preferably lure and tame them in a pen you're planning to breed them in. If you want to relocate tamed boars, you'll have to harpoon or push them. Harpooning might kill them, so for easier pushing to the desired location you can build a path with cheap wooden fence. It's especially annoying to push them up if you've built a high farm. It's amazingly efficient, but you'll have to push them up a long 26 degree roofs ramp.
I've learnt the 2-star wolves one shotted anyone with bronze equipments the hard way 😂 but the troubles are all worth it.. I can noe be naked and go out foraging with my wolves without any worries
Knowing the tames per area was helpful thank you, and I can confirm 2 star wolves will stick around asklong as you are in the area they seam to slow down eating at daylight slows their hunger, I tamed a couple no stars then got lucky a 2 star showed up near my pit when it became night, and breed the 2 stars into them then took the no stars to the less important place to defend
Levou 2 meses pra eu acidentalmente domesticar um javali. Mas um Lox estava muito dificil, por isso agradeço o tutorial. Pessoal a graça do jogo está em descobrir as coisas sozinho.
Cant find a working boar farm. They wont eat. Don't know if this is an xbox thing. They eat in a pen but not in any of the most recent farm designs I've found.
They are very finicky for the food location. On the other hand, I have no idea how Xbox behaves, so hopefully we can get some feedback from more Xbox Players. 👍
I play xbox and they eat and breed fine, they just seem to spook more easy than lox, had one greydwarf outside my base and they where scared of it and didn't eat or breed
They still eat in my elevated farm. When their snout is poking through a wooden wall, they'll eat off WOODEN FLOOR specifically. Won't eat off any other structures. And then you have to throw carrots right at the corner where the wall meets the floor. In a specific spot as well. For me, it's slightly to the right of the center of 2x2 wooden wall. Works only with carrots for me. And even then I have to throw them 3 or 4 times before they start eating. Just wait for like 10 seconds after each throw and see if they start eating. Then don't move the carrots and they'll keep eating the stack if it stays in that sweet spot. It's annoying to make it work. But then after 2 days I'll have my small pen below bursting with boars climbing on top of each other and even escaping xD
I was mining copper during night at my starter Island before fighting elder. Then 1 two started wolf appeared and I was able to pen and breed to have whole pack which melted the Elder 😂
you are correct that in survival mode, there are no starred loxes or chickens, but starred loxes and chickens are available with console commands (devcommands), they might not show the stars visibly, but the properties of being a starred creature is there.
You can also tame Fuling. You have to have a place with a high comfort level(I think it was 17, not sure) but somehow trap the fulings in there. You can breed them too
Most of the time, I kite the boar to my base before I tame it, as it will agro on you and chase you. However, having it follow you through a black Forrest might get it killed. If it is a 1 or 2 star boar, It might be smarter to tame and breed several boars at the location you found it - then use a harpoon to pull the tamed boar into your base (friendly fire needs to be enabled).

You definitely don't have to beat the plains boss before being able to go to the merchant.
You need to defeat yagluth to unlock and buy eggs from the trader.

No, they do not.
