I did not know your boy was into these Mustang IIs!?! Same boy that was with you when you dropped off the 55? I have 2 of these, a Cobra and a Fastback in Cobra dress. Well one is suppose to be my son's, the Cobra, but yeah i would have showed them to ya when you were here! I've probably had 15 or so of these over the years. Not many people liked them so it made them cheap and easily accessible for quite some time. Last 10 years or so they've gotten really popular. Lots of idiosyncrasies with these cars... especially the V8 cars. It's one of the only Ford vehicles where the V8 was made to fit the car rather then the car built to house the V8. So V8 swapped in ones, I'm always particular of. @9:20 Which i can already see, the power steering bracketry is a mess... Alternator bracket looks like its missing, and that appears to be an early '75/'76 Mustang II water pump pulley, different from a regular car/truck 302 water pump pulley. Fuel Filter is on backwards too.... lol So I'm guessing he bought it??? NICE! @11:09 So believe it or not, 'some' 4 bangers did come with the 8" rear but fairly sure this was a swap job based on the highly improper rear shackles. The spring eyes, even rearward, are huge bushings. The Mr Gasket extend-o shackles just don't work. Plus... the MPG wouldn't have a rear sway bar. Only cars with the "Handling package" had rear sway bars such as Mach 1s and Cobras. that totally looks like a factory rear sway bar, mounting plates, and 8" rear. May be a limited slip? Quite a few had them. Did it lay 2 patches @12:50 ??? Well good for Kale! Glad he's got himself a clean little II. I played with these from about '96 till about 2010ish.. Had lots of fun with them. I still have mine, the 2nd one I ever bought. My very 1st II was a '78 Cobra II v6 4 speed T-Top black/Black car. Loved that car.... wish i never got rid of it.

As the owner of one of the 275 1960 Edsel 2 door hardtops produced, I take offense as these being referred to as “Starliners.” Starliner was a Ford, correctly referred to as Galaxie Starliner in 1960-61. There never was an Edsel Starliner. That being said, you do have a very rare car. It would be even more rare if the data plate reads model 63B. Only 52 of those were produced. Drop me a pm. Unfortunately my Parents put an abrupt Halt to this notion but I got older -- don't we all, and along the way, owned 2 1951 F-1 pickups, a 1941 "Tonner" (Commercial Line Ancestor of later F-3 & F-350) and a '41 1½ ton.... Nice find. Sad they are still sitting there not getting any love. Those old small towns are fun to visit.

I would be all over those Edsel's. That Black one is a 2 door HT Pacer. I would not be surprised if whoever owns them has some other cars or parts inside and those are his parts cars. Stop in that tavern, have a beer and ask the bartender, he would know the owner.

Or try asking in at the "Moose Lodge": it's a community centre, according to Google maps.

I hope you find the Edsel owner and can strike a fair deal for them. They need to be saved. I am also jealous of the old Bronco the shows up in your intro, I wish I had one.

The little brother of the Ford Ranger, just like the Ford Pinto and the Ford Courier. I got mine for free. Granted, I would have to put back some money for parts and insurance. Last I checked, my insurance was about $70 a month through root.
