I have developed quite a few projects that was inspired by him, I am working on my own custom 3D engine for example varoom with multiplayer support. Once I have fixed a few things on my 3D engine, I will make it easier for anyone that want to use my 3D engine for their projects. My most difficult project was the rocket simulator with realistic physics and you can build your own rocket.

Terry Davis was special. He wasn't a prophet, but he was an incredible programmer and he was amazingly dedicated in his work. It's quite common for people suffering from schizophrenia to believe themselves to be prophets or kings and see people around as trying to hurt them at every corner (in Terry's case it was projected at the CIA and people of color I guess?). From what I've gathered, Terry started TempleOS as a hobby project under a different name before he got sick. But later it mutated as his mind did. His delusions led him to merge Christian-inspired spirituality with computer science in a unique and beautiful way. I think Terry was holding onto TempleOS so hard because it helped him stay relatively sane. I do believe he committed suicide, as Schizophrenics often do. When they have a moment of clear mind, they are devastated with the realization of what is happening to them and they want to end it. Schizophrenia is something I fear a lot. I'd much rather die of cancer than Schizophrenia. Pain is one thing, but loosing touch with reality is a different story. Also very tough to one's family. Something that is well known in psychiatry but rarely talked about is that regular use of Marijuana can trigger schizophrenia in people who have predispositions to it. Which is at least partially genetic, but there's a lot of factors that are rooted in early childhood. Don't smoke pot if you don't want to find out if you're predisposed... Generally, don't do drugs - various substances can be useful in medical treatment but that's for a licensed professional to decide, not you. Using paychoactive medication outside of prescribed pharmatherapy is dangerous and can mess up your brain forever. So many cases of people hopelessly loosing their mind after drug misuse... Rest in peace, Terry, I pray for you and your family. BTE, I'm not linking studies confirming what I said about schizophrenia since links are a no-go in UA-cam comments. Pleaae do your own research, I may be messing some facts up.

There seems to be a flaw (feature?) of thinking in those who can think extremely abstractly to overindex on the more general case, even when it's not there. Mistaking the map for the territory. It seems that temple OS and holyC is an attempt to peel back the over-abstraction that seems to emerge from large groups of people working together and get to the raw "instance" of the abstract class.

Man, it's such a shame this man was ill. Not only was he smart, he was also apparently very fun to talk to when he was lucid. I don't often feel bad for people I haven't even met, but Terry really could've been one of the greats had he not been cursed, and it makes me honestly sad.
