Capacitor LIE: muh charges are stored on metal plates

The electrical charges are stored in the dielectric medium between the plates (within the counterspace? idonno lol).
The capacitance varies depending on the dielectric material too. That indicates it's the medium, not the plates, otherwise why would it vary? Some dielectric material can store a lot of dielectric field, some cannot.
The plastic film used: 0.19mm thick PET film.
