inaccuracy - *GRUB2 is capable of decrypting LUKS partitions without a Linux kernel* . on systems with that configuration, only GRUB2 itself must be in an unencrypted partition.
otherwise good explanation except that you did not mention that *the correct solution to this problem is Fully Open Source Hardware which makes the schematics and HDL files and firmware source code of the entire device completely visible* and there are multiple examples of companies selling fully functional open source hardware complete systems
    - Texas Instruments
    - RaptorCS

on open source hardware systems like Texas Instruments BeagleBone and RaptorCS Talos II and also other open source firmware systems that aren't open source hardware, like libreboot, it is *typical for GRUB2 or other bootloader to be preinstalled into the firmware itself* making full disk encryption easy and requiring any attacker to get _physical access to reflashing the firmware chip_ in order to install malware

nice dude, I really learned a lot, thank you,
my solution now is using SecureBoot and HP "Wolf Security"🤦‍♂BIOS lock, cause it has a picture of wolf on it, that means it's safe right? It really instills a lot of confurdence...

Blinking port may also be broadcast packets like ARP. Also the switch sends every packet whose destination MAC-port binding is unknown out as broadcast. The binding is stored in a table that has a timeout, say 1 minute for example.

Hardware it's indeed compromised at almost every level, has been since like the pentium 2 processor. There's a reason batteries in phones are no longer removable and ALL OF THEM HAVE A CAMERA ON THE FRONT, ALL OF THEM.
Also i fucking love your wojacks

thats why I only use custom made sbc's with a custom u-boot image and a buildroot made fs so I can know what goes on

Also they are intentionally obfuscating things to the user by calling the firmware a "BIOS" regardless of what type of firmware is actually on the ROM chip. I doubt that HP firmware has any IBM PC compatible Basic Input/Output System interrupt calls implemented in it. Probably it also cannot boot at all if there is no GPT partition table and a FAT32 filesystem on the boot disk.

For us brainlets, is there an way to avoid all the spying? It seems that linux is not changing that much because of intel chips - amd chips - bios and the rest of the tricks. Is there even a way anymore?
