Mini Portable Power Station | All Powers S200 Power Station Review
Sure sounds like you have a lot to complain about. I don't come to UA-cam for content like this. BTW it's horse manure and it doesn't smell.
Great job!
My legs feel jello-ey just watching this video. Yeah I don’t think I would ever do this hike lol.
That's more than 250 lbs, amigo. More like 500 to 800.
I gave up where you started.
Hiking in snow, deep snow, is more intense than walking in shoes/boots.
I used a pattern roller/marker (from a fabric store)that leaves little holes along the line then cut along the pattern of little holes....worked perfectly for me!
Bullshit. Shiey isn't doing anything even half as dangerous as an Alex Honnold, and you damn well know it.
Wow, absolutely beautiful 💯🙏
It’s a sad state of affairs
nice hike take JT with you next time
I don't want him with me haha, maybe we get separated when we are out there though..
Beautiful trail.Do you ever see grizzly bears?I get scared sometimes hiking in Ontario Incase I see a black bear. You guys are brave
I have both the MSR Lightning Ascent and the TSL Symbioz...must say that I actually prefer the MSR
I'm a pretty big guy (6'6" 280lbs) and have been using 30" MSR Lightning Ascent snowshoes with the 5" addons for years... My legs are long enough and gate wide enough that I've never had a problem marching straight up a mountain or traversing a mixed snow ice slope using them. I'm fairly confident that anything made of plastic or composite would be something I would obliterate inadvertently... One man's clunky is another man's stability I suppose.
Not gonna lie I’m scared for you for doing this hike 😣
Half dome hike is peanuts compared to this 😢
Kudos brother. I would not be able to do this hike.
THE Mountains shall bring peace to the people. That's a sign in Fairmont, by Banff
It's funny. I was going to comment as I started watching this clip that you need to be very careful of people stalking you. And then you mentioned the midnight visit. I follow a couple of other guys that hike and tent solo. For the last year, they have been posting more and more about creepy noises and hearing noise around their tent. One guy has left twice now because he's been stalked. The second time he actually caught the guy, who was dressed in camo, but just pretended he didn't see him bc he was worried the guy might have a gun. Now, one is in the US side of the border, the other in Alberta, one in BC. So just be careful and have some kind of defense. I have a stun gun that shoots a good volt because I've been in a couple of compromising situations. Bear spray as well. Just keep in mind, if you use it to use it with intensity. It's weird but when you're in a life and death, or even a situation that requires you to defend yourself against a person or animal, you actually think about not wanting to hurt them for a sec it 2. That fight eventually takes over and you can then use more force but as it's odd. I think it his against who we are as humans that we don't want to hurt people and who have to overcome that. It's against our fundamental structure. Not everyone is like that, but most of us are. Just be careful. Better safe than sorry.
Those snowshoes are ridiculously small only good for previously compacted snow. I prefer my Native classic snowshoes. I’ve been in places where when you untie your snowshoes and jump off, you sink in snow right up to your hips…
I prefer water packs, they contract to their normal size once empty and then when they’re full they expand which is why I like them
Man i completely agree the hiker in me would never throw my survival gear around like that, it goes agains my better instinct haha. Watching you critique him throwing his bag did make me refleft though. When ive been trainhopping/hitchhiking and spending my time in more urban areas i cant count the amount of times i had to throe my bag. Id throw my bag off the train when i needed to hop off while its moving so id be less likely to hurt my knees. And on the flip side id throw my bag onto trains before pulling myself up so i can more easily maneuver. Id throw my pack over fences or into bushes when i needed to run hide or evade. I quess my point is that if you come from that type of dirty travel, you become incredibly desensitized and used to throwing your shit around and dealing with the consequences later. Its just something you have to do! I do agree tho when mountaineering like this its something you definitely shouldn't be doing, theres no need.
So amazing and beautiful footage!
What model of Symbioz are these? They look huge.
Where’s the long metal taser rod?
Thank you for sharing your video. Tips are valuable & helpful.
I appreciate this review.. Maybe when I'm in the market for something new I may consider switching brands.. I love my MSR Lightning Ascents.. I have beaten the shit out of them... Since I live in the Seattle area-- it was a bit of a hassle to get repairs done- but worth the trips into the shop.. Cascade Designs stands behind their products.. And frankly with the abuse I have put my gear through.. I pretty much leave with brand new shoes. Extra cost, sure? but in the long run worth the investment.
Beautiful Sound!
I enjoyed your review enough to head over to see about maybe buying a pair, but in their own manuals TSL doesn't rate their snowshoes for mountaineering and there's a ton of users with broken bits, which is kinda sad. It would be great if they created a more bombproof model rated for mountaineering.
I can tell you this...if you were REALLY afraid of heights...you wouldn't be comfortable filming while climbing.
Beautiful snowy scenery and views!
Great video. It helps a lot
The cliff you're standing on. I've been right below it on the glacier. Free hiking it. The "guided tours only" is a bs sign put there by brewsters. Same company who run the buses. Trying to force you to pay them to access the park. Those sloped walls of rocks you see on the sides....That's all ice. With less than a foot of rock on top. If you clean the rocks off. You'll see crystal clear ice !
I didn't even know the island had all of that. People don't realize how beautiful Canada really is. Explore your own backyard before going anywhere else.
Absolutely beautiful. I am so jealous.
Can any of these be used on pavements in urban areas ?
Get some vinyl window film, spray the outside and trim the edges to fit. Remove and use as template.
Nice review. I'm spending the winter in N.H. and have been looking for a good pair for beginners. Have checked out a bunch of brands and these were the ones I was leaning toward.
Very cool!! Thank you David, glad I found your second channel! Love it. Wishing you big success.
I still use my hand crafted native snowshoes. I hate the way those newer smaller metal snowshoes function. I love the three foot native wooden ones with a long tail that drags in a straight line. If ever you’re in a winter storm on a flat lake you’ll see why it’s better. With the small metal ones you’re all over the place. With the long native ones you can go as straight as you want. For that there is a trick. Loosen the strap just enough so that the tail drags on the snow when you raise your feet. The tail will drag in a straight line because it’s long. Another feature is that if you walk on thin ice, the ice will not crack open as easily as with a small snowshoe since your weight is distributed on a bigger surface. Also a big snowshoes will let you cross small crevices with less danger. Another trait of the smaller shoes is that after a while the snowshoe gets loaded with snow. With the older shoes the snow falls through the leather mesh, unless they’re wet.😮
May I know which trail is this? Thanks! Planning to hike mt.benson anytime soon. Want to do a solo hike too 🤗
Amazing video. Thanks man.
Moose on the loose
I have many pairs of snowshoes. TSL included. I've broken a binding on one of my TSL shoes. And I have a crack forming on the deck of my other shoe. It's a common problem if you Google it. Also the flex design, although comfortable, will flex under load. In a snowshoe, unless you're just strolling along on a maintained trail, you're looking for flotation. This is an extreme example, but take a crazy carpet and lay it in deep, fresh snow. Now push down in the middle. Take a piece of plywood of the same dimensions (footprint if you will) and try the same experiment. You see where I'm going with this. So don't get me wrong, I paid the bill and fixed my broken binding because I DO like my TSL shoes for comfort. But they aren't perfect by any stretch.
Great video!!
Thank you for the snowshoe explanation David. Last time I snowshoed was as a young child in northern Alberta with the heavy wood and sinew shoes. They were pretty heavy lol. Good review !
WOW! Once again, beautiful but some scary moments. You are brave. :)
Thank you.
