Good idea.
Awesome. Love it. I could think of so many applications. One that I'm milling over is placing the light somewhere on my hip or lower leg with low brightness setting for walking in wooded area at night. I would still use a secondary light as the main light. As you were mentioning, the headlamp turns as your heads turns and I'm thinking a lamp on my lower leg may assist in keeping the trail lit. I don't really know until I try it out. I know as a cyclist (I leave early in AM) this idea works. I have two lights. One is set on my helmet aimed forward and the other is set on my handle bar aimed to the ground. Things are moving quite fast around me and my head keeps swinging to my left and right but my handlebar lights keeps my trail lit. My bike route takes me through dark wooded areas with some wildlife. Not BC! My handlebar is currently cluttered with gadgets and placing another light is not an option. However I'm thinking that I may do some reconfiguration. I can mount the smaller light somewhere below the handlebar and its light would cover the immediate area. I would find a way to secure it while I use the handlebar light as my main light. I go for two hour bike ride each morning so the battery life should not be an issue. I would no longer use the headlamps on my helmet. Maybe a backup. I'm really tired of eating bugs. Oh the perils of using a headlamp while cycling at night. Lol! One must keep the light sources below the face. Anyway, this lamp can do the trick. I love your tips and gadgets.
Great review of this light the best online
cheers
Cool light. One thing is if you get lost you would want long battery life. I always carry a battery pack because I don't want to carry batteries. Plus the battery pack can charge other devices.
Way to many cons to make it good enough to use as your main light. Though it could be a good backup.
Wearing a hat it silly in the dark. I don't see anyone doing that (I only hike on Vancouver Island)
Battéy life is poor, the bear safety thing is silly and it wouldn't work very well clipped to a pack .
