Just stumbled onto your channel, love your editing and sense of humour. This build looks epic! and a higher quality than some much larger channels do. You've got a new sub!
Great stuff stupid! I love it when u expose me to engineers algebra, just in case my erb hasn’t fried my brain enough 🤯🤯. Always a pleasure, as u were! 👍🍻🎯
Love this channel, and pretty much the only vw v10 swap ive seen, cant wIt to see how you go with the wiring. I think your approach of using tbe whole donor car is probably the best chance of success. Keep the video's coming scary tiny skull man
Buying just the engine would have been horrid. I've had to use so many little Touareg bits I don't even know the name of, so having the whole thing has been a bit of a luxury for sure. Skull guy is a must too... Throwback to some of the terrible mods I found on this car during its dissection...
hey thats starting to look a lot like my ford maverick swb, killer build i love seeing something different. oh and i love the editing style and twist you put on it
Been waiting for someone to do this engine swap. ( would of preferred it going into a 105 landcruiser) very interested to see how the final ride goes once it is complete, hope it is as awesome as I hope that it will be. Great work
From what I've heard, cruiser diffs aren't as strong as Nissan ones (shots fired), so 750Nm without a tune going through a 105 could spell trouble. Plus... SWB
One thing to be thankful for (and it only took a fatal-for-the-bike trip), the paint has set hard. Hoping for the best is a good strategy. Fix stuff that is broken and don't look for problems - they will rear their ugly heads when they see fit. I do, however fear for the BCM when it connects to a red vehicle...will it flinch and shut down the entire thing? Maybe you should screw it into a section painted white? We wait patiently (while the paint sets even harder) for the electrical transplant Dr. Ridiculous things 4x4.
I have an R50 V10 and the V10 comes with a number of issues most likely to be seen on any V10 through their life. Tandem and fuel pump leaks. Did you replace the gaskets where they bolt up to the rear of the heads? A cheap and essential maintenance item. Many other things - turbos, exhaust manifolds crack (double skinned SS fabricated - they crack at the back of the flange to head port), the list goes on. Good luck with it.
Thanks, yes they have their issues, but they're minor ones relatively speaking. The best thing about this build is access. All of the above problems you mentioned require the engine to come out, or child sized hands. In the patrol, Hagrid could probably do it with his meat claws there's so much room
Sorry, can't help much with that. The stuff I'm using in the shot you're talking about ended up being useless. I'm recycling the old 30 year old stuff. Sadly the only way to get new is to buy a whole new guard because it comes pre-glued to them.
Very cool indeed mate, getting there bit by bit. Dumb question, can you tint rapture lining to match the colour of the car or is it just always black. Back to work. Seeya Rob
@@ridiculousthings4x4 Good, low range keeps it a true offroader, not sure about the VW AWD, though. I think the Amarok does not have low range, which seems odd for a pickup. Anyway, keep the series going, your techniques are interesting and your acting, I suppose, is entertaining!
This thing would eat Mooney Mooney bridge
This comment wins. Even though you've just spoiled the build finale for everyone
Nah mate that’s only been done once before lmfao
480
It would launch off either end

I did a lot of this kind of thing in my youth and one thing I worked out in the future is that past me wasn’t looking out for my best interests !
Yeah past me sucks too. But he's very meticulous
The skull door lock knob is a nice touch. They say "the Devil is in the details."
The Devil is in what the previous owner spent money on. Including but not limited to... Skull guy
@@ridiculousthings4x4 I can see a theme starting here...crimson red, skull guy...

Don't worry. There's always a plan B and C. I might even have to call in the Americans, but let's hope not.

Ok I’m pleased to hear that, that will make all the difference having some access around the best of a thing! 😂
already liked the video yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
ahahah clubtouareg man they love me too dont worry
Jesus Christ I was not expecting the half life blue shift reference.
You get a thumbs up instead of a heart for mistaking opposing force for blue shift, you heathen
@@ridiculousthings4x4 hey it’s been like 15 years since I played them you should be happy I even remembered barny and blue shift 😤
Will this thing have a hand brake/emergency brake? Just wondering
It sure will
Where did you get the replacement strips that go between the flairs and the fenders ? (Please)
Ps: loving your content 👍

You can, but you're reading ahead of the class! That's for the next episode
Thanks for the series! Would you still have low range? Does the Touareg comes with it?
Yup, still low range. The only difference from the patrol is that it's full time 4wd like an 80 series.
