Your right, the 4500 and 5500 trucks you can access the oil filter from the bottom, there’s all sorts of room through the bottom. I service 3 Ram 4500’s, a couple 3500 and 2500’s for the ranch and those I had to cut out the passenger inter fender to access the oil filter because if not, it was a pain to remove it every time.

Fought getting through the fenders for a long time until one day I just cut out all of them at the same time
