Nobody Told Me
This isn't a video about tips and tricks for new riders. UA-cam has lots of that already, done by people much smarter and better skilled than me. This is about three things I haven't heard done to death by motovloggers that I wish I'd known sooner.

Neo-Retro Motorcycles
Переглядів 4,6 тис.2 роки тому
I got to spend a couple days with the Yamaha XSR700 and had so much fun on it. It's the most time I've spent on a bike that wasn't a cruiser, but it got me thinking about neo retro motorcycles versus project bikes. There's pros and cons to both, but I want to know what y'all think. #xsr700 #indianscoutbobber #squarewhite

Переглядів 22 тис.3 роки тому
If you're a taller motorcycle rider, and you're also considering the Indian Scout Bobber, there's a couple of upgrades I've done that you'll wanna check out in this video. Unfortunately the bobber isn't the greatest for us as it comes stock, so check this out if you're in the market for a new Scout Bobber. IG: @squarewhite.tv
Indian Scout Bobber Pure Sound - Radical Radius Exhaust

Indian Scout Bobber: Good Beginner Bike?
Переглядів 133 тис.3 роки тому
Should you get an Indian Scout Bobber as your first bike? These are great beginner bikes, with good ergonomics and controlled power. I'm probably biased (read: definitely biased) because my first bike was an Indian Scout Bobber, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong. IG: @squarewhite.tv #indianscoutbobber #beginnerbike #squarewhite

I'm definitely not gonna turn heads at the drag strip with my launch skills, but I gave it a shot to show y'all just how flipping fast this machine is. Other than an aftermarket exhaust, I don't have any serious mods on my 2019 Indian Scout Bobber. Like, comment, and subscribe if you vibe. But don't most motorcycle courses teach beginners to ride on a Honda CB125E ??? They do in my Country of Australia 🇦🇺 & definitely not on a Cruiser or any bike thats not LAMS / Learner Approved 125cc up to 660cc We can ride on our learner licence, But here in all Beginners Courses the Bikes are normally a 125cc or 175cc to learn on because of their lack of power & weight for absolute beginner riders ! No way in Australia 🇦🇺 Do we learn on a bigger more powerful bike & definitely not a Cruiser hey ! Whats your thoughts 🤔🤔ps: Cool arm ink matey👍 & Your Indian sounds like my future bike 😂 Cheers from Bundaberg Australia 🇦🇺 🍹🕺

I had same fit problems with HJC helmets. Love the style but after 30 minutes of ride , my forehead gets sore from the pressure of helmet. Tried bigger size and changed the padding with no relief. After purchasing several helmet brands, I find Shoei and Arai helmets were most comfortable for my head shape. The big forehead type lol Gotta go with a brand designed for your head and face shape.

Are there really bikes that won't let you start them with the stand down? I know some won't let you go into gear with the kickstand down. You should be warming your bike up for several minutes, so it seems weird that you would have to get on the bike and sit there for a while.

All I hear is "I chose the wrong helmet for my head shape... lets blame the helmet." Bro, this helmet, when worn by someone with the appropriate head shape for it is a great helmet. Comfortable, easy to see and look around and not too heavy.

Yeah nah bud, I've had one for about a year and it's completely fine. It's comfortable and easy to put on and take off, there's zero reflection from the visor, and the noise is totally manageable. Unless you're somehow getting an airtight seal on your neck and you have zero airflow coming into the helmet, there will be noise. If you're choosing to not wear earplugs (which are recommended by every official body and most people on youtube) then that's user error lol. Realistically, it's probably just that icon makes oval shaped helmets, and not round ones. Some people fit better in either, I just happen to have a weird, long head.

To be fair, it looks like you have quite a round head shape and the Icon Airflite is supposed to be for long oval heads. That might be why you find it so uncomfortable to wear and also why you couldn't find the right size for you - it just isn't shaped for your head. That might also explain why it was so noisy for you: the better it goes you, the less noisy it is

Got a completely stock scout ABS (not the bobber) but my idea for the bike is just a (big looking) bobber I love it however I’m looking at the extension being. 6’4 I wanted to do the solo seat too but didn’t even think of one that puts you farther back. I want to take all the chrome covers and get black ones. But for the size of the bike. I love it. Thanks for the rant

Thank you. I'm a long oval head and the this is the only other helmet that Cycle Gear's filter covers up with for me, besides the ARAI Signet-X, which I had about 20 years ago and am looking at buying again. I was going to look at this icon For much less and being the only other for for my head crushing problems in most helmets but I think I'll eat the cost as being week worth it for the ARAI and this one not being with even the much lower price.

Buying my first bike tomorrow morning. Apart from bicycles 25 years ago as a kid my two-wheel experience is only the MSF course I took, and passed, one month ago. I know I’ll be nervous my first time on a real road, at real speed, with real traffic. Almost makes me feel like I’m 16 again and driving a car by myself, but this time around I’ve got the patience of older age

You’ve got this bro. Get a new visor installed on that helmet and take baby steps. I’ve only had my endorsement and been riding for two weeks. Biggest advice I can give other than what this excellent video provides… Try not to care what others think of you or your riding. It’s your experience with your bike. It’s just for you, not anyone else. It’s okay to be a novice. Be patient with yourself.
