i bought a 2014 last year, ive already had to replace a head gasket, have the supercharger checked twice, and new radiator. Thing leaks coolant and cant seem to find from where now smh
my girlfriends sister has a 2016 s3 it’s been leaking oil for going on half a year she won’t take it to a mechanic drives it with little to no oil and it still hasn’t blown up i don’t get it

Audis use pentosin power steering fluid. IT CAN'T BE MIXED with generic fluid or ATF. You will likely blow out seals or hasten decomposition of internal parts This also goes for the cooling system. Only use audi brand or 3rd party pentosin. It will not mix with generic coolant and will cause clogs in coolant system
Waving the diagnostic fee on an AUDI might be going a little too far Parker. Those cars are wicked expensive and hard to work on. I'm all for you giving breaks on labor but changing out that pump isn't a 5 minute job. These cars are often neglected because of their high cost of maintenance and when they finally get the treatment they deserve, it's like cancer and the problem has spread all over the car. Hence the bumper cover falling off and wrong worm clamps everything. This car has the sign of total neglect.
Parts are expensive for sure but a well maintained Audi will give you more trouble free motoring than an GM crapbox that people love to buy for some reason.

But when it wasn't working right, it was probably THE most frustrating car I've ever worked on. That's the weird paradox of owning a German car. Perfect when running as intended, a nightmare when not running as intended.
@@petrosaguilar8916 I will apologize in advance for the long reply, but you asked so here it goes.... First came a cooling problem, had to have the water pump and thermostat housing replaced. This requires a lot of disassembly so labor at a shop was not cheap. Then there was this coolant shutoff valve that failed multiple times because a flaw in the design allows coolant to leak into the wiring harness and short out the solenoid. And if you don't fix it, the coolant can migrate up the wiring harness and short out the TCU. That would be a very expensive fix if that had happened. Then came a problem with the runner flaps in the intake manifold. Requiring replacement of the entire manifold, because it's all one big plastic assembly. The car also developed a noticeable oil leak. I never got that fixed. And most annoying of all was when I went to get the tires replaced I found that Audi uses lug bolts that screw into the wheel hub. Instead of a traditional stud with lug nut like they use on American cars. This is a stupid design, because they rust onto the hub and if you break one off or strip out the threads in the hub, then you have to have the whole wheel hub replaced. Well of course the lug bolts did rust onto to hub and when I went to take off the factory installed security lug, it wouldn't budge and stripped out the key. It was a major headache to get those off after that and the tire shop refused to touch it until I got those stupid security lugs off. I really banged up my rims trying to get those off. I'll never use security locking lugs ever again. The biggest problem I have with Audi is that anytime you work on something small you risk breaking something expensive because of the complex way the assemble every system in the car. But as I already said it was my best daily driver when there were no problems. And it never left me stranded on the side of the road. So they are great cars if you can bear the cost and frustration to maintain them.

Need some opinions ac compressor has Freon won’t pull low side down only About 20 psi at idle so it doesn’t even cycle off and on like it should …I raise the rpm’s and it drops down to 35 ish and u can hear like the pistons from the compressor become louder and no cold air at all 😂 is it my compressor?
To test whether it's a compressor or not, apply 12v power to the compressor via the electrical connector, If the compressor works, it should engage. The clutch should engage and state spinning. Don't leave it connected to power too long as you might burn it up if there isn't enough freon.
