Thanks. I know this video is a couple of years old now but it's very useful. I think I have a leak in the tank as I cannot get collant above the Min mark and see it dripping out, so this is my next project. I've had my 159 2.2 since Jan 2024 and love ot when it drives smoothly, which has only been a few times yet ha. My first italian car and was warned of this. I've fixed a few things, new MAF, solenoids, intake pipe, spark plugs, battery, rear window regulator, wheel tracking, abs, all stressful fun ha. Need to sort out, why it judders/shakes sometimes. Doing an oil change, so that may help. Check where oil is leaking slowly (if I can fix) Bad earth connection somewhere as my new audio/amp are whining, so need to check all earth points. I need to check sub fram for rust and other areas and try adding protection. Later for aesthetics, add a front splitter. Maybe do the front LED halo project. Some paint correction. Get the Ti alloys repaired. Videos like yours really help, though I don't have all the skills to do it, I can do some The 159 though...gorgeous. I'd love a Brera as a side car too. Maybe the V6. Thanks
I saw a small leakage of coolant on my TBi, but it seems that the tank is whole, no damage, or holes... moybe some hose on the connection point... need to address this sooner than later.. Thank you for the video Jim
@@939driver Yeah, I turned on the car, and exactly above the small puddle of coolent that was collecting was the hose entering an engine block, and i checked and it was indeed wet around the hose 😬
Hi Jim, thanks for sharing! Possibly a very stupid question. I have a 2.2 Brera. When cold the fluid is at min, when hot at max. Is this normal, and should you fill to max when cold?
Hi Jim, thanks. I have a 159 1750tbi. Need to replace the coolent reservoir. One question, why did you remove the engine cover ? Does it do any better in handling ? I have a bigger engine cover. TIA
Hi man! Awesome car! Ah yes I removed the engine cover because on the 2.2 JTS it is a bit in the way when taking the reservoir out. On the TBi I believe at that area there is slightly better space for that. Cheers

@@harj-spp8547 thanks man! Lovely car the 159 😋👌🏻🇮🇹🍀
Tem que cuidar sempre! Agora vai ficar novinha pra viajar!! 😻💖🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Nice one! It would be interesting if you also do a video changing the steering fluid tank (which is a weak spot) and investigate inside...
Thanks! If it starts to go I will definitely make a video 🍀👌
Hello , nice video i havethe same proble to replace can tou tell me what's the of the pliers you use to open the seal on the hose?
@@cristi16vs thanks man! I use a hose clamp snap ring plier

Thank you man! Yes could be the hose, but could also be the tank itself. It sometimes can get a small fracture which starts leaking.

@@djpunisha29 great, good to know the location. Sounds like the small hose from reservoir to engine. Luckily that should not be expensive.

Hi man, thanks! 🍀🙏 yes that is normal, you could fill when cold slightly below max.
@@939driver Will do. Thanks 🙏
