100% NO... I have a website but it's only to show my students how to build a simple one. In fact websites do more harm than good for most. The fastest way to cash flow and success is building relationships. Paid ads, social media and complicated websites are things recommended by people who have never been where you want to get... because they don't know any better. Trust me... you don't need that stuff. :-)

Great question... but it really depends on each client and the level of cleaning they are looking for. To many... any level of cleaning is at a professional level since they can't clean themselves, or don't know how to. So if you love cleaning, then I'm betting you're already way better at it than you think, and I'd encourage you to not overthink that part. Just get started and your skills will develop even more over time. :-) I even have a new video hopefully launching this week that will be a 'Beginners Guide' to starting where I talk about his more. So be sure to sub and turn on notifications. :-)

We do small medical offices, like family doctors, but I wouldn't want to do hospitals. a) They usually have their own janitorial staff. b) Even if A wasn't true then the workload would be tough to sub out, if that was your goal. :-) So look for medi offices, other professional offices like lawyers, accountants, etc. :-)

I recommend hand written notes when you really want to target specific homes... they are just a little slow for the masses. So then flyers are faster. But if you have the time... handwritten notes def make a bigger impact since no one does that! :-)

@TheProfessionalCleaner Thanks, I'm gonna approach the bigger ticket homes with notes. I'm doing window cleaning and there's a lot of retiree's in large houses in some areas where I am at, perhaps notes will butter them up better than knocking on their door.

@TheProfessionalCleaner Hardest struggle for me in starting my business is that I'm heavily introverted, I'll start a day out with a burst of energy but then run out quickly when interacting with people. But the alternative is to continue working for other people and have my time and abilities disregarded because of a time clock.

@@aquacandela3705 This might surprise you, but I am an EXTREME introvert too. And doing UA-cam is sooooo hard for me. But I just fight through it, for the same reason you mentioned... I don't want to work for others. So focus on the rewards!

That's because window cleaning is considered high risk... it's a whole other animal unfortunately to insurance providers. :-/ Whereas all we do is general janitorial. :-)

Hi! It depends on the situation. But I pay people that work for me roughly half of what I earn on each job. Subs earn more than W2 employees since subs are their own business owners. They cost me less to employ, but they spend more to be their own business owners since they have their own insurance. There are just MANY variables to the hiring process. :-)

Yep we still have our own cleaning biz. And I don't recommend outsourcing the training of your cleaners, at least not in the early days of your business. The day may come when you can hire a 'head cleaner' / trainer. But you as the owner needs to understand the skill you're selling. That's the life blood of your business. :-)

Which is why we teach our students not to list pricing on their websites. :-)

So sorry you had a bad experience. :-/ But hiring a GOOD accountant is one of the best investments you'll ever make. Mine saves me 5 figures a year... easily... yet I only pay then maybe a couple grand a year. That's a win in my book. So treat hiring an accountant like hiring an employee, a baby sitter, etc. You need to feel that they are 1) skilled and 2) have your best interests in mind. :-)

Yep 100%... you can always build one later if you want, but even then I teach my students to keep it simple. It's just another trust building tool. Not a magic button like so many say. :-)

Hello! My go to methods for luxury: network with realtors, network with HOAs, talk to gate guards of gated communities and reception area staff of condos, and where possible hand written notes w/ a biz card left in specific homes you want to target. :-) And the fun thing about luxury when you're good, is 1 client leads to 2 leads to 5 leads to 10. It can happen very quickly cuz they'll tell their friends. Then before you know it you're all referral based. 🚀

This would be a great question for a tax pro, unfortunately I cannot give legal advice since laws vary so greatly from place to place. :-)

It's definitely a risk being a business owner... but I have always been able to persevere through the ups and downs. I just choose to not even make failure an option. But ultimately it just comes down to your goals. Questions to ask yourself: Do you enjoy who you work for? Do you feel you could make a lot more workong for yourself? Would that outweigh the other concerns, like being responsible for your own taxes, being a single mom, etc? Start there. :-) But knowing how to clean properly is half the battle... so you'd be at an advantage there right out of the gate. Business is just problems and solutions. So if you can solve a problem aka clean well... then from there it's just about finding clients. :-)

No... my rate is my rate. What a client pays is based on the result you're providing, not based on whether you have staff or not. :-) So in my biz my rate if I clean solo (although I don't anymore) would be $75 an hour. If I hire staff (which I always do), it's still based off that $75 an hour rate. Then I pay the cleaners (on average) $30-$40 an hour of that. :-)

Hello! We're in a small market too... only 6K people... yet there is tons of potential even in small markets like yours and mine. :-) Churches can be great... just know that some will have very limited budgets esp if they rely on the donations of members to care for expenses. And in other cases... sometimes members of the church clean it on a volunteer basis. But there are still plenty that might have the budget and need for you. And it's great that you clean yours already, as this will give you a bit of an edge having a specialty. :-) But I would also look at small businesses tho... since they may be a similar workload but not as limited on the budget aspect. Lots of opportunities! Just start talking to people and the doors will open! :-)

I used to recommend Yelp but no longer do. :-/ UA-cam is a great tool... but it's forever. So sometimes guidance becomes outdated. :-)

Thanks for watching! This is all covered in my program but in short commercial has become my favorite client type over all these years for many reasons. And yes my clients pay us monthly. Some have month to month agreements/contracts. Others annual. One is 2 years at a time. But I don't generally go longer than 2 years. :-)

That is awesome! First client came to you! What's the task list? How long will it take you to perform the task list? Do they have a certain budget? I am never scared to ask this of commercial customers, especially with people I already know. :-)

Ok in total there are 16 rooms (8 exam rooms, 4 drs offices and 4 testing rooms) 1 kitchen with eating area, 1 bathtroom (sink n toilet) also 1 bathroom outside, hallway with 2 tech stations, waiting area (carpet n floor) recrption area (for 7 teceptionist) procedure room n lounge area (floor) I have to do trash removal everyday in the whole office and clean an outside bathroom (floor, sink n toilet) and 3 times a week i have to vacuum n mop the whole office.

@@millydee1102 It really just comes down to time = money. So you'd need to calculate the time required for the task list. Inside our program we have calculations to help with commercial bids. The first one is the hardest and then it gets easier from there. If you're planning on this being just a side hustle and not going full time into a cleaning biz... then personally I would just ask the doc what their budget is. I'd imagine they'll tell you. Then figure out roughly the hours required and see if it makes sense to you to take on. :-)
