I'm loving your coaching program so far! I made extensive notes and I'm over halfway through, to anyone that's thinking about it; totally worth it for the value! Don't get sold on something more expensive from some random salesperson selling a system to a bunch of people, Bethany knows what she's talking about!
Thank you!!! And my current recommendation is Project to Payment. Right now it's mostly just an invoicing app but they are working on adding more features that IMO will make them the best software hands down for cleaning biz owners. And if you use this link you'll get 3 months free to try them out. :-) project2payment.com/theprofessionalcleaner/
I started my business 3 months ago and I’m stuck. I need more help with pricing. I want to do commercial, small offices, therapy offices, bank, law office, etc. I need examples of pricing I’m in California so a ball park or picture examples of the average price.
This video is in the works! In the meantime, don't get lost in overcomplicated bidding calculators. It's all about time = money. So how long will the job take... times your hourly rate. You will need to know your speed of cleaning, and that will increase over time. But for now give it your best guess based on how fast you clean your own home, and start bidding. It will only get easier with time, so don't let fear hold you back. :-) Bidding by the square foot just doesn't work as well in general janitorial. That works great in carpet cleaning, but not janitorial. So count the number of toilets and sinks, ask how often they want you to vacuum, etc... and give it your best guess on the time required. You got this!
In commercial they would not typically ever interact with my clients, since the work is after hours. But they just say they are a sub. In residential it's trickier especially if you are dictating their work hours, so you might need to go the employee route there. Really just depends on the type of clients you're working for. :-)
I also am a super sweaty person that loves to clean! I just carry around something to wipe my face if needed. I also realized a long time ago that I can’t work in public facing jobs (retail for example) because I sweat so much.
I have a question, when you take the course how much is it to be in your Facebook group and is it a one time fee.? And do you also answer the questions in your group 😊
This will be changing over time, but as of today the course is $97 for lifetime access. And the FB Group is $97 a year. But eventually that will move to a lifetime access as well, once my programs price increases. And YES! I answer all questions in my group. It is not just for others to support you, but it's where I support you too. :-) And my husband (who is also my biz partner) will also be coaching in there too in the near future. Hope to see you in there! :-) courses.theprofessionalcleaner.net/products/cba
Yes, absolutely! You just need some training. I don't have a cleaning course yet, but it's in the works. Once you know how to clean, it's just about getting clients and getting to work. :-)
Hi Bethany, I am starting a cleaning business. So far, i have my registered my business!, got the name, ein number but don't know what to do next. Help!
Love it! You're on the right track! Sounds like bank account, and insurance are still needed. So check out these videos next! ua-cam.com/video/NIH6lKmdqVc/v-deo.html&t AND ua-cam.com/video/DDLzG49aDvU/v-deo.html :-)
That depends on your local government. Where I live and work they are not required for general janitorial work… but call your local office and ask. :-)

Love your videos! How do you recommend receiving payment for cleaning services?

Is it good starting with a franchisee or a start up, I have no cleaning experience
I don't recommend buying into a franchise in the cleaning industry, since the name isn't what matters. The level of your service, does! :-)
@@TheProfessionalCleaner A do think so, and we are promoting their brand like Jims cleaning. Lots of love for your work.

When you subcontract out how is it negotiated that they are to represent your company?

Hi Bethany, I sweat easily while doing physical works. Do you recommend a sweaty person join cleaning business?
Me too LOL... go for it!

Hi Bethany
Can one start a cleaning business with NO experience?
Yes, absolutely! You just need some training. I don't have a cleaning course yet, but it's in the works. Once you know how to clean, it's just about getting clients and getting to work. :-)

Do you need business license to start?
That depends on your local government. Where I live and work they are not required for general janitorial work… but call your local office and ask. :-)
You can also check out my other video “how to start a cleaning business step by step guide” where I talk about that more. :-)
