I love this! There are riches in niches. I specialize in cleaning up litter debris outside commercial properties for property management companies. I started doing this in 1981 as a side business and grew it into a six-figure business of 40+ years. Better to be considered the best than a jack of all trades and master of none.

Do I need to have my own niche first before I open my own cleaning business? Or can I start broad and think of my niche after I opened my cleaning business? Thank you.

You can start more broad and test the market, just drill down once you're able to. And be careful picking your name and creating your brand etc. since you don't want to go to specific in that stuff before you know what your specialty will be. So as an example some will start "ABC House Cleaning," and then later realize they want to do commercial. But that requires a name change. So keep it more generic at first. :-) Proud of you! Keep at it!
