* SEASON 6 SPOILERS * I think Aditi killed Laurelion and the necklace was hers!! I have 3 thoughts on this: 1) Maybe in killing Laurelion she had to sacrifice herself, and that’s why she disappeared? 2) Laurelion was Leola’s other parent and Aaravos killed Aditi in vengeance 3) Aditi was corrupted by Aaravos (if so he could choose a bad Dragon King/Queen and maybe Avizandum or Rex Igneous killed Aditi and crowned himself (or tried to) - this could also explain Rex and Avizandum’s rivalry!) Also, if those are true then possessing Aditi could be Aaravos’ punishment for his partner’s murder. And that could be what Aaravos told Khessa (because let’s face it much as I love Janai I feel like Aaravos didn’t swallow Aditi) Also, the markings on the book Kazi read looks a bit like Aaravos’ mirror, right? :)

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who picked up on the amulet, ever since she got it she kept fidgeting with it so I knew it was ready to be some crazy ass lore thing. Also I find it funny that when Claudia fails the spell to return Aaravos to the world she mentions that something doesn't seem right as she is still casting the spell, I think its because its the first primal magic spell she has casted without harnessing the power from a primal source.

Her reiterating that she loves Kosmo is important because love is a necessary component in order to connect to any given primal source (assuming you weren't born connected to it) and be able to perform more advanced feats. for example: Callum connects to the sky but still can't automatically make mage wings, he first needed to take a leap of faith in the name of love

The animation is beautiful! And also a super interesting look at the Celestial Elves, which I wasn't expecting. I LOVED Season 6 and thought it expanded the world in great ways and subverted my expectations in the best way. As well as finally delivering on many plotpoints. I am SO pumped that S7 is going to release so soon. I thought I'd have to wait another year. This hasn't happened since Seasons 1 and 2! I love this series, all of it, so much.

I think Astrid is more upset at how Cosmo was content to let Callum and Rayla leave without telling them the pearl they brought was fake. I understand that him lying at first was because Callum would not have been brave enough to perform the ritual to cleanse himself of dark magic if he had told the truth right away, but he could have said something afterword. Especially since they could’ve possibly gone back to Katolis and gotten the real pearl, which would be annoying to go back and forth. But when it’s the fate of the world, I think they could get over the inconvenience. So maybe her comment about it “not being enough to watch the world” is more of a dig at Cosmo for being content to simply observe future timelines with his new power while refusing to use that wisdom to help anyone else. Maybe there’s a scene before this where she confronts the elder and Cosmo about how they should’ve warned them and should probably be doing more to help the world, only for her ideas to be shot down. Maybe then she decides to leave the starscrapper in order to help team Zym. So when she tells Cosmo she loves him, it’s because she knows she will likely be banished for removing her blindfold and allowing sunlight to touch her eyes, and will probably never see him again. It would be an interesting parallel to Rayla, who was also banished for breaking her oath despite it proving to have been the right thing to do. Also some people were speculating that since the sun is technically a star, her looking directly at it could give her some unique healing ability.

I'm struggling to find it, but one of the writers has said on Twitter that Startouch Elves don't really *need* to reproduce like other beings. It would make sense to me if Aaravos had her on his own and that it was always just the two of them. Until it wasn't anymore.

I enjoyed The Dragon Prince Season 6 more than House of the Dragon Season 2 this year (2024 -> Year of the Blue Dragon).

Personally i hope we get mature shows/movies. I'm not asking for a gore & "rake" fest like GoT but something more like an Indiana Jones level of story telling maturity. I wonder how Blood Moon Huntress was. I'm not dyslexic but i have difficulty reading more than a page.

Nice to see some Lovecraftian elements in The Dragon Prince. I hope we can see the Void Dragons or at least some lore of them in Book 7: Dark. Off-Topic: Also, I am curious if the deities of the Human Kingdoms like Duren’s Harvest Goddess and Katolis’ Lady Justice are real. Maybe they are Startouch Elves in human disguises. The Lady Justice blindfold reminds me of the Celestial Elves’ culture of wearing blindfolds (Eyes can deceive us and it is our senses and understanding that matter). The reason is that the Startouch Elves give me a lot of Valar and Maiar vibes from The Silmarillion. They are immortal gods who cannot die. Also, they originate as spirits from the heavens who take “mortal” forms when they live in Arda (Tolkien’s World).

After reading two online interviews from the creators after Season 3, they said they are looking forward to tell more of Sol Regem's background and hopefully we get to learnif his mate and their dragon eggs actually survived, because they series opened up with an Archdragon of the Sun maybe it can close with his son or daughter, who hatches from their eggs?

I think I’m a unicorn too. I too have the Tales of Xadia game handbook.

Personally, I’m kind of want the supplementary material to remain more self contained, since a lot of causal fans who don’t keep up with the books could potentially miss out on a lot of important plot points. It’s why Through the Moon frustrated people who were completely blindsided when season 4 revealed that Rayla left Callum after season 3. And to a lesser extent, why Strangers frustrated people who were looking forward to seeing Soren and Viren’s reunion in season 4, myself included. I think the graphic novels should focus on fleshing out characters and relationships, but not in a alienates people who only watch the show. I think Bloodmoon Huntress is a good example, since you don’t need to read that book to know how much Rayla loves Runnan and Ethari, but it does give their scenes a lot more impact. It’s why my ideal graphic novel would be the Viren prequel I mentioned before where he has to prove himself worthy to be Kpp’ar apprentice using only his intellect. It shows how he believed magic was the only thing that gave his life purpose and meaning, and how he feels helpless without it. We can already gather that just by watching the show, but this would help to explain why he feels that way. So while I love your theory on how this could tie into season 7, I expect this to be more focused on the relationship between the princes. And to be honest, I’m happy just to get to see Harrow interact with his children, especially since we didn’t get a lot of scenes with him and Ezran before he died. I think this book could have Harrow and Amaya fall under the sleep spell, which will push Callum and Ezran to work together to save them. And maybe when they wake up, they could talk about their dreams, and they could be poetic foreshadowing to their ultimate fates. Like if Harrow says he was dreaming of his beloved bird, Pip! Or, if Harrow ends up calling in Viren to help since magic is involved, Viren could see himself drowning in a sea of blood, and he’s dragging both of his children down with him. Soren ends up breaking away, but Claudia refuses to let go despite her father’s desperate pleas. And then he wakes up and comedically says, “Wonder what that means?”

Actually, that moon looks more like a dragon’s eye, almost like the illustration of the void dragon’s eye.

I would LOVE to see Void Dragons! They're always so cool. On a different note, I understand your thoughts on The Dragon Prince and how the show addresses the world. I love the world too and I want to know more. But I think it's important to remember that the show is fundamentally about how the current world changes. It is about the adventures our characters go on to shift the current world. That is something that had to be accepted from day 1. And I think the show is masterful at it. It is one of (if not my favorite) show of all time. The external material is an aspect I love throwing myself into, and it supplements the show, but I do not expect everything from the show. (This isn't any sort of attack I promise, just providing my perspective). I want the Tales of Xadia too just for the lore! I can't wait to see all of the secrets it has.

After seeing Season 6, I highly doubt Kpp’Ar will ever be free unless the Merciful One gives Team Zym another Quasar Diamond. Interesting how Kpp’Ar gave up dark magic in favor of actual engineering.

The thing I love about Claudia is that she goes against the "strong, independent woman" trope that has, quite frankly, become tiresome over the last few years. Don't get me wrong, I love strong women - Clara Oswald's one of my favourite characters in fiction - but it seems like EVERYBODY is trying to make their female characters into badasses. Some people are weak willed. That's simply a fact of life. And Claudia is one of them. She feels like a real person because she's pitiful and broken, with no real will of her own. She's very easy to manipulate because she has no idea who she is. Even trying to leave Terri only lasted for maybe a day or two.

Your initial thoughts were very well articulated & I can understand where you're coming from. I am not going to address rayllum b/c I have not read the graphic novels or other outside sources for context that I feel is needed (+ if it's important, it should be in the show) 1. Sunfire elf plot - I also felt it was wasted. It was poorly executed from the start for many reasons, which was a shame because the potential was there, and now we see that it was all a ruse for Aaravos to use sol regem to attack katolis. It leaves the way by the wayside, just hanging there, and I don't know how to feel about that whole plot being the consequence of an admittedly great twist. 2. Viren's Letter - I completely understand why Viren burned the letter, to not burden Soren with this. I only wished that instead of burning it, as other comments said, the letter is found by CLAUDIA to get closure & then Soren can decide for himself if he wants to read it AFTER all is said and done - I think it was absolutely the right call not to have him read it at that moment. Telling something just to reflect & for the audience in this instance isn't as satisfying to me if the people impacted aren't also in the know 3. Runnan - I will be honest: that whole scene with Rayla & Runnan didn't hit me with the emotions I was expected to feel & I fear that may be, again, because I didn't read the outside source material. As a show only watcher, Runnan has in no way seem like a father figure to Rayla in my opinion & Ethari is on thin ice in my eyes (I understand his grief and that he didn't know because only rayla's flower was up, but having the show say he willingly ghosted rayla makes him seem like someone who thought rayla was just like her parents and didn't even bother to question if she was just being tortured for information + runnan was alive longer than the others before being trapped in the coin - the conversation he had with her & the fact that he couldn't undo it himself made me feel a bit better, but just a bit) 4. I have a nitpick on Callum going ALONE to switch the pearl out by himself when he JUST got possesed into retrieving it - the writers from time to time do this in such an obvious way to make the plot move how they want it to but this time it was REALLY noticeable that it was to set up the twist with the decoy I loved all the foreshadowing (two out of the thre quasar diamonds shining = realizing the third is a fake; whenever the pearl was shown it had the background of it's original place in katolis = realizing that callum and rayla had the decoy; the intro sewuence of aaravos retroactively making us realize he was a giant)

Yes ezren should be his light, rayla something else, but even if he has less time with his brother, their relationship was pretty good and he actually was pure. She doesnt need to be his light to be important, and a remoinder that he and his brother love each orther, good too, he and reyla have place in his heart.

RE: rayllum - i wrote this in response to another comment but it’s smth i haven’t seen anyone say or bring up so i’m gonna post it separately. rayllum’s moment in the hammocks in the starscraper (after callum’s one truth quest) also heavily implies that rayla has apologised in some capacity off-screen. callum brings up how he had a lot of conflicting feelings when he saw her again and rayla says “i know, i’m sorry-“ before callum cuts her off and says she “doesn’t need to apologise”!! i immediately interpreted this as a bit of dialogue that was meant to tell the audience that rayllum HAS had these discussions but off-screen. the way rayla says this suggests she’s made this apology before, as does callum’s response - in fact, one could argue his delivery of these lines even suggests that he’s forgiven her or at least is not emotionally raw about it anymore. and whilst i DEFINITELY wish these convos/apologies had happened on-screen and i think the writers are trying to weasel out of actually writing the harder relationship stuff, i DO appreciate the fact that it seems like rayllum has addressed these events between themselves, even if we didn’t get to see it. it certainly reassures ME as a viewer about their relationship and the security of it moving forward

17:16 Thank you! In season 2, Rayla impulsively jumped into danger with no plan at all and because of her, Callum did Dark magic to protect her. They were in a no-win situation where Primal magic just wasn't an option and there wasn't a "peaceful" way out. Doing the right thing, and self-defense is about more than what's in your comfort-zone. That's just real-life sometimes. Can't always do things your way and you just gotta grin and bear it Bottom line, I agree with you,Angeles

Though it may just be me stating the obvious, but I thunk the missing scepter is actually Viren's or Ziard's because the scepters all have the colors of the rainbow (I think) except the staff that Aaravos gave Ziard which has a purple (or magenta idk im color bad with colors) crystal in it's center.

I was upset that Claudia returns to her goofy/adorkable self like within 2 or 3 episodes after she kills Sparkle Puff. And that she didn't revert to being near crazy after her father dies a second time. That & the Mushroom Mage becomes ANOTHER character who shows up for 2 or 3 episodes & we never see again. Well it was a good season. # JUSTICE FOR LEOLA! Edit: The whole sunfire plot was horrible. I hope it's over.

Interesting detail I noticed! When the frozen ship called the “Ray of Illumination” burnt down, the only letters that where left spelt out the word, “Rayllum” the name of the ship between Callum and Rayla!
