Can the tbi wires be cut???
I cut mine
I thought about AOD's , then Casper ? PITA getting C-6 to fit . Too old and overworked to go and spend my efforts on my truckulent. But this might be the teste kidney kick needed 😂.
Stay tuned to see how this all works out
Wow that lt4 is a Really Nice Upgrade.. Got me to thinking 🤔.
It's a nice cam but not for the price
LOL, overdrive is a great upgrade for any older cruiser.😎👍
You ever dealt with the FMX trans? I swapped one for a c4 and it was like bolting on 100 hp lol
Yessir my brothers 72 mach1 had an fmx in it we replaced it with an aod
@@CCAutoWorks nice
@@Ralf1NATOR aod is about to be swapped for a 4r70w if this one works out
@@CCAutoWorks im not familiar with the 70. Modernized aod ?
@@Ralf1NATOR yeah 👍
I went with the Summit 600. I wanted mechanical secondaries. Maybe next time lol. It seems to run decent. I definitely do have a rich idle lol. I think I'm going to Crack the secondaries like 1/8 turn. I'm too far into the transfer slots on the primary just to idle. Carb on showed up Sunday so I'm still tweaking it. At idle I have 7 inches so I started with a 4.5 power valve.
Is your new carb better than the last one
I've actually been reading that there's a different way of checking the vacuum level to determine what size power value need other than checking the vacuum at idle everything I've been reading says that you need to be checking The vacuum readings at a cruising speed to determine what power valve
@CCAutoWorks The Summit is better just because it doesn't have the casting issues with the transfer slots the Brawler did. The Summit runs pretty strong as it is now. The only change is the PV. The car feels like it's got more torque for sure. It brakes traction from a 20 roll more than the Edelbrock ever did.
@CCAutoWorks do you remember how much you opened the secondaries? From what I've read, it doesn't take very much. I definitely try the vacuum gauge while I'm driving.
@@BPattB im guessing vacuum secondaries
i got a spare 408 chev in my garage doing nothing,,, i am dying to put the engine in my 1993 GMc c1500,, unfortunately its a 4l60e,, and its a brand new gearbox,, my old 5.7 is tired and leaking oil bad and down on power and greasy and scruffy lookin. i just found the 4l60e is nothing more than a th700 and i hate that low 3.06 first gear, i could sell the 4l60e as its got a 2 year warrantee and get into a 4l80e and get it rebuilt,,, the only thing i am worried about is i want the factory speedo working. steve in Australia these cars are rare here. i aint seen one in 3 years except mine.
They make a manual controller you can get off eBay to control the 4L60E for like 60 or $80
Found a 01 in November with 74k miles on it for $3300. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, air even works. Still floats on the highway.
Good deal
Keep up the hard work. It's paying off , stay tuned with fellow friends fifteenth
So it was an improvement over the old one... but then you fucked with the tuning and now you have a few things working against each other it seems like in the tuning. Also a bit of wrong info I think in the directions. Once you start turning screws on these you have to be very aware.
To each there own its got a fst on it now because I don't like Edelbrock
Who brags about a automatic transmission
Who's bragging I didn't say it was great just upgrading from one to another
Is there going to be a lot of power in front of it. They didn’t let the last comment go through. Must have been the shorter word I used for transmission
Lmao nah not a lot maybe 500
Very nice brother!!! I had thought about that when I was planning on getting my cousins 85' F-250 351 2wd. But he decided not to sell it. How are you doing brother? Everything good with you? Alot better here brother. Man it was rough for a few weeks.
@@GrandPitoVic where good glad you're doing a little better
@@CCAutoWorks Thank you. I appreciate it alot.
13👍, New friend here and sending support, enjoy watching your video sharing with us a different types of car i have seen.
😆😆😆🐸🍺🔪🔥
What are you using to control it? Glad you didn't do an AOD.
Couldn't find an aod but just ordered a quick4 from US shift
@@CCAutoWorks AOD = Arrives One Day 😄 I don't feel like without spending some money, an AOD would hold up well behind your engine.
@@bluecollarhotrods9781 your right I've got two that I've built they haven't burnt up but I don't like how they shift not very firm very different and erratic shifts hoping this 4r70w will be more consistent and shift better and harder your supposed to be able to adjust everything with this controller so will see 🤞
@@CCAutoWorks those 4R70s are the better transmission. I have a friend wanting to get rid of his T5 and do a 6R80
@@bluecollarhotrods9781 I hope so it was hard to find one that would fit a sbf with a two bolt starter or that what we was looking for it might not actually matter
😮
Nice downgrade, was next two speed tranny from a model t?
I What up bro this 360 my account got hacked this my new one connected hope you return the favor
Been using tunerpro on the older stuff because its free to me. I want to go to hptuners because they have an array of supported models. But vampiric nature on pocket gives me what i can only describe as clinical anxiety.
That front end is sick. Looks like an international 🐸🍺🔪🔥
I understand everything that you guy's did, well at least the part about Trains Planes and Automobiles, lol 🤪🤪
Lol
All the abilities
Thanks brother
What is the actual part number. I need something to tame down headers with no cats.

That 50cfm extra isn’t what you feel , it’s the annular boosters
All I feel now is the 750cfm Holley that's on it now lol
@@CCAutoWorks I have a 750 Holley now . Good carb but been rebuilt to many times . Only going to the eddy cause of the annular boosters and it’s very affordable
@@71lemans I hear that prices on carbs now are ridiculous
@@CCAutoWorks almost $800 for a New Holley 750 double pumper mechanical secondaries . I bought the eddy refurbished from national carburetors for $283 shipped
@@71lemans once you get it if you have any problems with it there's a channel called muscle car solutions he's in Edelbrock guru and he even has a website where he sells them too
Thanks, this is the best @ the more easy tbi to carb swap I have seen. You set my mind at ease. I have 94 5.7 tbi with 4l60e that I have to deal with on that shift module, but I'll worry about that when I get to it. THANKS YOU!!
Appreciate it thank you for watching
Dang who needs Holley when you can do it all with hp tuners! Nice!🤙
HP tuner does a pretty good job letting u in to tune a little bit of everything holleys good for swaps and making tons of power
Hahaha love the John candy scene. Dealing with automatics might as well be black magic to me, kudos and great info C&C
Lol thank you we appreciate it
Nice🐸🍺🔪🔥
I'd rather adjust a TV cable.😁😎👍
Lol you would be surprised how many people can't do that I see guys burn them up all the time not adjusting them right
@@CCAutoWorks Yeah, my transmission guy pounded it in my head the first time I installed a 700R4 in something that didn't come with one. After that all the rest were a piece of cake. I have 3 vehicles with a 700R4 built by the same guy that after all these years still run great. But I don't over work them, they're a medium duty transmission and if one keeps that in mind they last for a long time.😎👍
@@itseithergonnaworkoritaint7852 yessir I kinda baby my 4l60e
@@CCAutoWorks No need to baby it, just don't overload it and it'll be fine. I drive mine like I stole them sometimes and also take my car with one to the track. I must have over 100 QM passes on that transmission and it still works flawlessly.😎👍
@@itseithergonnaworkoritaint7852 I've put three different pans on mine and it still looks like it's leaking the pan I put this time was an aluminum one
great info brother
Good info. Where can o find that blue cat software?
He put a link in the description I think but if not I can send it to u
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing. Very informative. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible day. Much love and RESPECT

What the hell is that
Lmao no clue past that guy on the highway
All the tuning abilities
And none at the same time lol thanks brother
How did you get the contro module from the e fans to work. I herd the only work by a signal from the pcm
I just used a relay and hooked up the high speed which is just both hot wires
Awesome , Keep it coming. I do hot rods on my channel to. -Spanky
I bet all those fumes are nice coming in the cab...........
What fumes lol
Can you tell me what intake you got in the middle of a swap and the one I got is 12" wide need one 9" wide idk would appreciate the help

The first link is the one I have now but I've been thinking about going to the second one the Chinese airgap
This pickup used to have a 302 but when I carb swapped it I built a 351w for it
Wow your roads are 70mph? Everywhere here is 55. Thanks for sharing the ride along. Looking forward to more. Dash looks great. What gear ratio did you go with in the rear?
3.70 right now about to swap the c6 for a 4r70w and probably run 4.11 70mph is for the small back roads highways are 75 and some are 80
@@CCAutoWorks Nuts, our back roads are 40-45mph and it's a 45-50 minute drive to get to a 70mph road. Those 70mph are not hot rod project friendly by no means. The main roads we travel are 55mph between towns.
@@blueridgehollow2510 are roads are just straight and flat
Great video, however I was wondering if you'd have an idea on how to make this work on a '96 model with the OBD II system. Any information from anyone is GREATLY appreciated.
Can u jump the relay
Where do the injectors go now? 😆 lil bro gave a good technical explanation and left you in shock lol. Yall will get it figured out
@@ManuaLiberty I definitely wasn't expecting it cought me off garden enough that I couldn't even listen
Interesting carbon maker, I heard Uncle Tony talk about this Carter Holley hybrid. The Edelbrock/Carter likes to run rich at idle and go lean at WOT. It kinda looked like that was the case with yours or was tha 14:1 at cruise? Would be ashamed if it were to have the worst characteristics of the 2 it was modeled from. How do yous guys like the type of carb, is it better or worse than it's parents?😎👍
It's been good so far super easy to work with and clean no gas spills for jet change but now I'm getting older I'm leaning more to efi and air conditioning
@@CCAutoWorks Take a look at a gizmo called "The Carb Cheater", the carb only has to be close and you can do fine adjustments with an app on a smartphone that also runs it. It will maintain the fuel curve you program on it as long as the app is turned on. When it is you can drive from the ocean beach to the mountains and maintain that fuel curve.😎👍
@@itseithergonnaworkoritaint7852 that's awesome I'll check it out thank you
Nice job fellas!
