Small Village Life in Rural Thailand - This is how the LOCALS live 🇹🇭
Today we went back to my village, the place I truly call home, where I was born and raised! It still warms my heart every time I return that everyone is always so welcoming and friendly - they remember lots of little details about me and my childhood and it's really nostalgic for me.
I've never forgotten where I came from and I never will, my village is a real community where everyone helps everyone and I love spending time there. It's a privilege for me to be able to show my wife and children and for them to enjoy it just as much as me! There's a real sense of freedom in "Thai village life" and what more could you want than the feeling of being free?

Today we stumbled upon a true HIDDEN GEM while enjoying our favourite pastime of countryside drives - can you believe we found a beach in the middle of Isaan?! We couldn't either! Unfortunately we weren't prepared or equipped for it today but we will definitely visit again and spend some time there! Today's video, we had breakfast and said our goodbyes to Danny & Diggy. We went to visit a volcano that they suggested. We had no idea that Thailand even had a volcano let alone on our doorstep in Isaan! Very cool spot indeed. Camila also cooked some home comfort food! The first time we've had cottage pie since we left England! It was delicious. Hope you guys enjoyed the vlog! Don't forget to s...

So today's the day, we're finally giving the Sunny what she's been begging for - 4 brand new tyres! One of our lovely subscribers contributed and encouraged us to get them done so that's how we spent our afternoon. The total came to a little more than we planned and expected but what can you do?! Trying some local THAI DESSERTS in Rural Thailand until DISASTER strikes!

In today's video, we went for a drive in the countryside, which is one of our favourite activities to do as a family. Your still welcome because your willing to accept english life and laws and your English citizenship. Its the illegal immigration with no passport and not willing to integrate by laws and culture. Just like we have to when we come to Thailand. We respect thai laws and people and cultures. We also have to get legal visa to stay in thailand. If we over stay they we remove us.

    I wonder how much the elephants cost, how much it costs to care for them, what are the requirements to keep an elephant, etc. An interview with an elephant owner would be interesting. My mom wanted an elephant when she was a child. My grandma told her to bury some elephant poo and to keep watering it. Did you pass by any Isan elephant homestays?

    • @NativeFarang
      @NativeFarang 20 годин тому

      @@kate8950 I can imagine it's very expensive to keep an elephant and would take up a huge amount of time and space, this is why these owners dedicate their lives to them. I would definitely be interested in interviewing an owner to find out! I believe because of the expense and commitment etc that keeping an elephant should be respected and not shamed, especially by people who don't understand the cultural context! Haha that's brilliant 😅 Yes, the elephant kingdom in Surin is full of homestays and elephant experiences 🙏

    Tyre price seems about right for similar car size. About AUD100. You would pay similar or likely more in Australia for the same. I paid 4k per tyre on the Toyota Vigo 18mnths ago for the original Bridstones which was muck cheaper than Same 265/75-17 R/T in Australia.

    Absolutely amazing. When I went to Brasil back in 1998 as I mentioned before, I went to the city I was born in and the old neighborhood, and just about everyone who was still there came to see me. It was like a block party. Get this though, the city has a population of over almost 300K (or might be over 300K now), but there are more people from my city in the US than there rofl. My grand aunt has a star fruit tree along with a Cacao tree, Guava tree and a Pinha (Annona Squamosa) tree. Also can't forget the Mango trees, Coconut trees, Jackfruit tree and my favorite Jabuticaba trees. These are the videos that brings back those memories I keep telling you about. I love Starfruit, they remind me a bit of tangerines, some ae sweeter than others.
