- Today's video, we had an adventurous time trying to find this hidden cafe in rural Thailand!
Saw some local men sitting on stilts fishing using catapults. Bought some food, bought more food. Farang, but local food. Best Kebab in Thailand!

Wow, Nat and Camila +girls, that was some adventure to find that cafe in the making. It's the old conundrum we need to make this work, but to make it work we need customers, we won't get many customers if we don't finish building but we need customers for the revenue to complete the project. That will be a great place in a great location if people can find it and support it. The children are certainly all their interactions with animals of all shapes and sizes, and using their imaginations when playing. God bless you all and thanks for sharing 😀❤🙏

We call hand-held catapults, SLINGSHOTS, in the States. When we hear catapults, we think of the large ones that hurl giant boulders at castles. Who was the farang at the burger stand?
Ohh, in England we'd call it a catapult, but I've heard slingshot before too. Also no idea who the Farang was haha, there was about 6 Farang guys that came by the time I got my order and left 🤯

Back in Brasil my family went to my uncle's farm and my grandfather asked me if I want to see his ranch which was a few minutes away. There were 2 ways to go, one way was up a steep hill and the other he had to drive almost 30 minutes. Get this, my grandfather had the most amazing vehicle ever built (my opinion though lol) and the vehicles was a 70s VW Bug rofl. So my grandfather lined up to go up the steep hill and halfway up the Bug lost traction and it rolled down. So the next option was to tackle the hill with some speed and that worked out. Now the dirt road to the ranch was exactly like the one you drove to get to that amazing place. This is one reason I tell people that Brasilian and Thai way of living is very similar, but the difference between the 2 is that Thailand is much safer and the people from Thailand are much nicer. Me being from Brasil for some it would be a no brainer to just go back, but Thailand has won my heart ever since I went to the only Muay Thai training in the city I grew up in. Thank you once again for another great video and as always hugs to the family.
We've never been to Brazil but if it's similar to Thailand I'm sure it's amazing!

I'm heading back to Surin province in late August. I'm looking forward to receiving the 60-day visa exemption, ss it will save me running down to immigration halfway through my stay as this usually requires two trips there because we forgot something.

Too many coffee “boutique” cafes in rural Thailand that end up closing up due to low volume of customers. The owners will open a “trendy cafe with selfie-photo stations but after the young generation are finished attending the new cafe ordering their sugary fruit smoothie or bubble tea, they will go to the next new coffee shop.
And many of these cafe owners do not maintain their shops allowing them to gradually look abandoned with geckos poop and spider webs on the walls, no fresh paint since it opened and …AND lack of training their staff what good customer service is. They have no idea how to run a business.
They are optimistic people by nature .. I like that about Thailand
We kinda have to be thankful for them for providing so many cool locations and awesome cafés to visit at affordable prices. Also I do agree, some of them need to be run better with a more business minded approach.

Might have to try Waze. But I do like browsing on Google maps to find places to visit
@NativeFarang yeah google maps is good for that, but it took us down a road that wasn't built/finished on our way back to Surin, switched to Waze 👌 and made it home 🤣
The lotus seeds are amazing to eat .full of nutrtion. Instead of promoting junk food burgers pizza, how about thai issan food. Far more healthier❤❤❤
@@jannetedwards1310 We have eaten plenty of Thai food, sometimes we just want something else, especially while we're on a farmstay where we cannot cook ourselves. We were having a western fix after we all came down with food poisoning from Thai food, it put us off for a little bit. Don't worry about our health, we're all good 😊🙏

No, haven't heard that! Tap water is unsafe for drinking in Thailand so I would recommend medicating if you consumed that, but otherwise it's the same as any other country 🙏
