Order 42 was originally conceived by Chancellor Palpatine in the registry of training directives for the clone army utilized by the Galactic Republic. This directive stated that one should immerse one's self in the creative and artistic endeavours of all member planets of the Republic to promote understanding and perspective.
This order proved so useful, especially in wartime, that Grand Admiral Thrawn, then a Lieutenant at the Royal Imperial Academy, adopted Order 42 as a cornerstone of his military strategies.
Um...yeah, I just made that up.
Order 42 is simply about friends discussing movies, tv shows, video games...basically life, the universe...everything.

I don't think it's right for you to tell people how they should think or feel about a given series or movie, as for the Acolyte, if you haven't seen it already, my advice DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! TOTAL AND UTTER COMPLETE GARBAGE!!!!
I mean, I agree on The Acolyte…but are you referring to someone giving a 1 rating? Unless it’s literally the worst movie you’ve ever seen, it’s a disingenuous rating, motivated by hatred or jealousy rather than quality of a movie, that doesn’t just affect the object of one’s hatred, but EVERYONE who also worked on the movie. It’s completely unfair and just flat out wrong.
Horizon is a great and ambitious passion project. I think we should support movies like this. We should support the movie-going experience
I’m there with you!
When they talked about his mushroom experience, it seemed to change his perspective, usually the case 😅
Absolutely! Would’ve been interesting to see him talk about, well…current events. That perspective could be helpful!
A true legend !!!
No doubt!
The amount of times pitch black was on any channel was insane 😂
Yeah, they did play that movie a lot! The first one especially is pretty good.
Not many people are aware that he owns the rights to Riddick. Also not a fan of wide-screen dvds unless you play it on a huge tv.
If I remember correctly, this was an anamorphic dvd, so it “fills the screen” horizontally. But yeah, interesting about him owning the rights!
Who doesn't like a lenticular cover. Also not a bad movie
Yeah, it’s a cool set! Movie’s got a few issues, but overall it’s still a good!

I don't like twisters. But maybe I will like Twisters.
You just may! It’s a fun time.
In my opinion, Twisters is 10x better than the first one.
Wow, really! I’m happy that you enjoyed it so much!
I've never seen the original Twister, but I really want to see this movie! I rarely get the chance to go to the theaters unfortunately these days. I used to go to the movie theater like once a week, but I have two young children and neither of them are ready to sit through a movie. I miss the whole theater experience; I even try to get there early to watch the Maria Menounos pre-show.... I really don't get the people that prefer to stream a movie at home over going to the theater.
You should give the original a chance! Right now you can own it for $5 on many of the digital marketplaces. In a way, I get why some don’t like the theater experience, especially if they don’t have a community that supports it (being loud and/or disrespectful). But I’ve always found it to be sort of a magical thing.
@@order42show I've seen your previous videos that highlight some of the issues with the movie theater, and I agree. I hate when people talk during the movie, it takes me right out of the movie a lot of the time. I have one friend who is so against it, that he never wants to go to the movies, and I have another friend who is the guy who talks at movies, and he tries to talk to me during the movie. I kinda feel like I have to oblige him to a small extent, and makes ME be that guy who talks at movies, and I hate myself, lol. Also, they play WAY too many trailers and/or videos during the trailers talking about how you need to watch movies in the theater... even though you are literally already doing it. Last movie I went to, it took 30 minutes before the movie started!
Yes! I was actually really pleased last night - only 17 minutes worth of trailers, which actually felt good and “appropriate”.
I loved most of it, I was only disappointed that it was just a compilation of the Fragility tour. Overall, it's an experience ^_^
Yeah, there are many sort of fan-compiled videos that attempt to try to take the best performances of each individual song and present it that way. I highly recommend those (the ones I’ve seen are just available on UA-cam).
Im with you on the hangover. I didn’t get why it was so big either.
Yes, thank you! 😁
I remember when i watched this movies .BAHUBALI DEATH Was first death scene i cried for followed by tony stark death and darth vader death .His death hits hard man.
The whole story is just a universally emotional journey. One of the best!
"Lookin GOOD......tired ol bag a shit .."
Great movie! Never thought of the cinematography before so will need to watch it again for that reason. :)
It’s just beautiful. I wish the tone was a bit more even, as there’s some goofy stuff in there, but still a great film!
Absolutely instant classic. Also i watched something that phycologists evaluated lots of serial killers in movies and they said Bardem's was the most believable and closest to the real thing.
I can totally see that! He was sociopathic in a way that felt totally authentic…which makes him even more scary!
I suck at navigating UA-cam. On a iPhone do you know where the about section is where I can find your email?

I watched this and it doesn't save Covenant. Film's still shit.
I get that - very imperfect couple of movies, but I LOVED this. Sorta the gold standard when it comes to fan-edits for me.
In my top 5
It’s REALLY good. I’ve seen so many movies, I’m not sure where I’d rank it.
@@order42show there ya go idea for a video or conversation for a live stream. Top 50 movies or something like that.
Man, that’d be TOUGH. I’ve seen so many movies that I’d be coming up with movies months later! That’s why I started my “Favorite Movies”, because there’s just no way I could come up with an entire list. This way, I can do reviews of them when I have time or as I think of them!

it may not be as a good but still a decent
It’s not BAD…just not as good as Desperado.

my favorite comedy movie, so good
I think Dumb and Dumber may have it beat, but it’s one we’ve watched a LOT.
Yeah starkiller comes out in this movie lol
Yeah, it’s cool seeing Sam Witwer in there!
The ending is so grim… 😢. The happening is worse I think. Not for story but the acting
It fits, I think! Some people felt like it then made everything pointless, but I really liked it. Ugh, The Happening, though…that was just…bad.
I love the Infernal Affairs trilogy, all three are great in their own way. However, there’s just way too much happening in The Departed, and it feels kind of a mess at times. It’s needlessly over complicated for the sake of it, has that love triangle subplot for no reason, and I think the ending is just bad. When The Departed first came out I was a big fan, however, watching it more than once really is a detriment to it. I love Scorsese, but he seems on autopilot here.
I think Departed is almost Marty saying, this is an awesome story, but I want to put my spin on it. And, in adding things, it actually took away from the story being told. I still like it, but I prefer the stories in IA 1 and 2.
Great movie, dark frikin ending
Yeah, it’s SO dark! 😁 I really like it, though. Captures the spirit of the King story perfectly!
I never knew Ridley directed this. And I have only seen pieces of it. Maybe I should watch it fully soon.
I really enjoyed it. Hope you like it!
It's one of those movies I should have seen but don't think I have
I really enjoyed it! Such a good movie.
It's almost blasphemous to place it next to Star Trek: Into Darkness lol
I know! Maybe I should put it before both of those…
The only Ridley Scott movie I ever watched, and need to rewatch it! But got a few others to watch first..
If you’ve seen it…yeah, there are tons to watch! 😁
This isn't Minecraft™ Also you're correct, when a movie is doing it's job, the race / gender / sexuality of the character should make no difference, as those things shouldn't ever be the "point" of the character to begin with. Tell a story first.
Exactly! Story is #1. See you over at Game Dave’s!
Emagine theaters were boycotting the movie. First they would not show it on their movies display, you had to click on subsequent pages to find it, also when you went in, they kept the mood lights turned on the whole movie instead of deeming them down to darkness as usual. Its like they are going out of their way to make sure this movie doesn't make money.
Sorry, I didn't see this comment come through! But...that may be an isolated case. I wouldn't consider it a really wide release - it was definitely playing on all the right markets, but even on opening day, there was only one screen showing at my local theater. And the lighting - that sounds isolated as well. Fact is, there wasn't a whole lot of buzz for this movie, and the trailer definitely didn't really win over the casual movie fan. Me? I hear "Kevin Costner directing a western", I'm in. But other people need more, like what's the story about? I can imagine it was really tough to sell this one.
Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can't wait to see the next one!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually - just heard that they delayed the release for part 2…so it’s not coming out on 8/16. 🙁
Walken always plays the villian. Coincidentally, his birthday is close to hos characters birthday. Both Aries. Im also aries.
I’ve seen him play the villain many times, but I’ve never seen a performance like this from him! (I may just not have seen them.) I’m an Aries, too!
@@order42show the actual criminal Bruce Johnston his birthday is 3 days after mine
@@order42show And Walken's is 4 days after the Johnston's
Here's the thing that Kevin Costner and his movies and whatnot are for us that understand those kind of values because as we've seen the values and the standards and whatnot have fallen by the wayside and I wouldn't expect anyone younger than me to understand the value of this kind of movie or understand the value of Kevin Costner or understand the value of any of it because that doesn't exist anymore. So the fact that this has happened is leading all of us old schoolers indoor situation where we understand that this is the last of the epic movies to exist because the thing is people now and kids now or whatever for the last like what 20 years they don't understand what an epic movie is in fact they're not even used to movie theaters they're used to just sitting at home and watching it on their TV screen so I don't know how much longer movie theaters are actually going to exist because as we moved along and as we've taken a decrease in valleys and standards in our country and moved in all these people that don't understand any of thisthe American experience is dying and may already be dead so what we're seeing when it comes to box office for Horizon is the last dying breaths of America
I may be naive for thinking this, but I feel that great art (which I believe this movie to be) will ALWAYS be appreciated by the ones who are open-minded enough to let it in. I’m not saying that you’re wrong - but I just think that we’re in sort of a downturn when it comes to movies in general, as most of the really popular movies are very surface-level with little actual depth. I think we’re due for sort of a renaissance, where the sort of “fluff” movies we’ve had over the last decade or so will give way to more challenging stories, sort of like the 70s, where there was suddenly this wave of more mature movies that hit the scene. At least…I HOPE that will happen!
Thank you so much I can't tell you how many countless Horizon reviews that I've listened to where these people don't seem to be cognizant of the fact that there's more movies coming. They all bitch about the same thing and that this first movie just doesn't seem to lead anywhere and it's really pissing me off because if you're going to do a review about a nuanced kind of movie like this and you have to have your act together and there's too many jerk offs doing the wrong thing when it comes to this movie.
I don’t really consider myself to be a “real” critic, but it’s got to be tough these days. I feel that so many fall into the same bucket as some UA-camrs who follow the trends - they “pick a side” without really stopping to understand why some people have a viewpoint in the first place. All I can do is try to approach each movie as honestly as I can. This feels more like a novel in the way that it’s structured, and I really appreciate that!
Agree to everything you said
😎
Its been free on Tubi. Its still on there whoever wanna check it out
Like I said before, alot of people have not seen the Original Conan the Barbarian, it is still hard to get!James Earl Jones is absolutely brilliant in this movie!!! His performance alone is worth the watch!!! Another Fantasy movie you should watch is LEGEND isn't that directed by one of your favourite directors!?
Yeah, I reviewed it!
This one used to piss me off because i didn't understand why it wasn't a true sequel to Desperado which in my opinion is one of the best action movies ever made. I didn't like all the changes and that they killed off Salma Hayek. I kinda like it a little more today but its NOT Desperado.
I haven’t watched it in years…probably since I bought the DVD! I’ve seen Desperado MANY times, though.
I think you were referring to Jamie Campbell Bower's altercation with Kevin Costner. He was incredible. I have been trying to find a whole clip of that event but have not found it!! Also been looking for clips of Hayes Costner's role. Who was the boy on the hill during indian village massacre? Great production by Costner and I look forward to Saga 2...but give me scenes and actors names.
I’m not sure who the boy was…but yes, I was referring to JCB! I just didn’t want someone who hasn’t seen it to be spoiled in any way! I’m really excited to see Part 2. What did you mean by “scenes and actor’s names”?
The erasure of Kirk....
Erasure...?
It's also the movie that saved the franchise back when it was about to be shelved since the motion picture didn't do very well. Yeah R.I.P James Horner. He made some of my favorite movie soundtracks.
Amazing stuff. I was too young to appreciate his work!
F the haters.... Some people are gonna hate it just because it's Costner. Like he is some poster child for the right or something? It's a movie, and a damn good one at that.
I really feel that many people that would enjoy this movie either are not accustomed to going to the theater anymore or don’t want to sit for three hours in the theater. I think it will find its audience, I just hope that it’s successful enough to allow him to finish them!
I don’t know the best way to message you so I will just do it here. First of all I just wanted to say I LOVE your channel and second I know you do fan edit reviews and I’ve done a couple interesting ones. The first is a cut of the hobbit trilogy (I know another one but hear me out) all the cuts I’ve seen are 3 and a half to 4 and a half hours and mine is even closer to the book and only 2hr 45 minutes in length and the other is a cleverly cut kind of different PG-13 cut of Deadpool (2016) i know you likely you won’t review it (it would be the coolest thing ever if you did though) but I would at least like to send you them i just don’t know where to do it. Either way awesome channel keep up the great work and let me know. 🙂
I appreciate the kind words! My email is on my about page and my Twitter and Discord links are in every description. I did address fan-edit reviews on a recent video (that not many people watched!) Basically, I’ve been stepping away from reviews of those simply because they’re so subjective, and it’s become more promotional in nature.

You can definitely send it to my email or message me on Twitter/X or Discord - I have some in the queue that I haven't watched yet. My recommendation though, is get in with some of the fan-edit communities out there, like on Reddit or on fanedit.org.
