No way, am i gonna stream this show. I bought the steelbook, and i hope Arcane arrives today. This is the only way to see this masterpiece. I`m familiar with Arcane, my son, who is a gamer. showed me some parts, but now the time has come to watch the series properly, I'm looking forward to it.

I play this game every single day since 2014, having a show come out and be so awesome is a unique experience as a fan. You should check out league of legends cinematics in order and you can see their art get better over time, and then they transitioned into the current art style. The Worlds tournament is currently on going, and Linkin Park made the song for this year. Great time to be a fan of League of Legends

Arcane really deserves a theatrical release and I believe it could work as a movie trilogy with some tactical editing, making Act 1, episodes 1-3 into a single feature length movie. Then do the same with Act 2, episodes 4-6 and so forth.
If you enjoy a good deep dive in what makes Arcane so fantastic and how the writing is so well done, I highly recommend checking out Random Film Talk's YT video series 'Arcane: Analyzing a Masterpiece'. There's so much detail and nuance he lays out that helps give a deeper understanding and appreciation for the writers and the characters.
At this point, that would be a big ask for the theaters. I’d love to see it, don’t get me wrong. I saw that some people were renting out theaters for their own purposes, and one guy rented one for his friends to watch the series, and for one screen in one day to show the whole series cost $350 (!)
@@order42show That's honestly not too bad. Would be asking a lot to binge the whole season in one day but overall, if you got enough friends and word of mouth, it'd be worth it.

Arcane was rendered in 1080p -- Even if you had the 4K subscription, there's no benefit to the resolution streaming it. By extension, the 4K disc is an "upscale" for the same reason.
Wow, really? Is there any info on that? I have no reason to doubt you, but I’m not seeing that info anywhere…
it's logical, but I would also like to know if there is a confirmation that the 4k discs are an Upscaled to 4K

Weird - I did check and don't see anything!
But, I will say...I did some digging on the blu-ray.com, and they did mention that it was rendered in 1080p but in HDR, so the 4K is still (according to the posters on there) worth it to get the 4K discs, even if they are upsampled.
I also saw that MOST animation is only at 1080p because of the extra costs associated with rendering in 4K, so it's not just Arcane that's like that (and apparently this comes up a lot when discussing anime releases in 4K). Since I'm not super into anime, I wouldn't have ever really been looking for info like that, but it's good to know.
Pretty sure there's no 4k digital version on Netflix, it's exclusive to this 4k steelbook
Oh, really? I don’t pay attention to the 4K stuff for Netflix since I don’t subscribe to it. My bad for assuming that it was in 4K!
Does anyone had issues with it? I purchased it twice, but both times the blu ray player didn´t read any disk but disk 4. I tryed in a different player but I get the same result.
What’s the model number of your player? Wondering if there’s some weird compatibility issue.
@@order42show I tried on two different players. Sony BDP-S1700 and PIONEER BDR-XD07TB
Well, those are both Blu-Ray players - it sounds like you got the 4K set (disc 4 is the extras disc, and it’s on a Blu-Ray disc).
if you got the Steelbook with Jinx on the cover (blue set), those are 4K UHD discs and won’t play on those. You’ll need to get the set with Vi on the cover (the red set).

I thought the launch date for these was 10/22?
I could be mistaken, but I think that’s for the Collector’s edition. The 4K and Blu-Ray Steelbooks were supposed to street on 10/8.
Big miss not including Dolby Atmos
Yeah…but it’s still a rather aggressive mix. I don’t have a “true” Atmos setup, though, so while it was fine for me, I wanted to make sure I mention that.
Can confirm firm the 5.1 mix still sounds amazing!
